Excellent company, excellent service and recommends, great birthday gift of a free tea and coupons
Our recent experience at McLeod House was awesome! We felt very safe with regard to Covid protocols- and the dining area was beautifully decorated. Our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant-. The food was homemade and delicious! It was a milestone birthday for my friend, and she received a small gift from the establishment- nice touch!
Absolutely delicious food, a great menu! Lots of choices, would highly recommend
Great food great shopping!
Went for a friend’s birthday and it was perfect. Server was outstanding & pro at taking group pictures. Food delicious and exceeded expectations. Perfect in every way & will definitely go back!!!!
Wonderful meal in a quaint old house that also offers a unique shopping experience. Excellent.
Food was so delicious and love the new menu items since our last visit. The atmosphere is so unique and service was fast and friendly!
Hi, I must say that I was disappointed this visit, food was not as good as last time
This place is such a gem. Afternoon high tea was fabulous!
The ambience and service was very cozy and inviting! Most of our food was excellent: the veggie wrap was large and flavourful, and the ham/brie/apple/cranberry/saskatoon sandwich was delicious. The home-made chips and dip were a treat. The one negative was the starter; the Wellington Bites. The steak was not tender. .. it was very tough and very hard to cut and chew. Two out of the three Bites were not eaten but left on the plate. Very disappointing! We did mention it to the server but there was no apology or reimbursement. Not good customer service! We hope our comments were forwarded to the chef as constructive criticism. We were impressed all around with this lovely Tea House and wish them the best in their days ahead!
Thank you for the positive feedback, regarding the wellingtons, we have brought it to the attention of the chef for review. Unfortunately your concerns we not made clear to your server and she was unaware of any issues you had. We look forward to seeing you again.
Food was fresh, prepared just right and delivered within a very reasonable time period after placing order.
Staff were pleasant, energic and seemed to be enjoying their day.
What a special place for my daughter's birthday! The atmosphere, the High Tea! Loved it all
Great food selection and taste. Helpful and friendly service.
A friend and I decided to try the Afternoon Tea which we pre-ordered. It was a lovely treat.
Lunch was very lovely for everyone at my table… we enjoyed everything.. the food was fresh and had good taste. Great atmosphere to catch up with friends. Service was attentive.
Food was great but perhaps more sandwiches than desserts. Maybe add chicken, etc.? Overall, we will be back. Thanks!
Everything is fresh. And their homemade chips are THEE best alternative to a soup or salad. Save room for dessert and try a scone with the works!
I had a few moments when I saw my mother who passed years ago now, her two favorite Royal Albert patterns, Old Country Rose and Brigadoon used for serving tea. And the teas ! Try the Earl Grey cream, in fact take some home and gift anyone of their favorites.
Outstanding service and experience and a beautiful high tea!
Loved the food and the service. Still a few flies buzzing about which get very annoying when we are eating. I really dislike constantly waving them away from our food/table/drinks.
It would be nice to have some background music as you can hear others' conversations and one feels a bit awkward as others can hear your conversations due to tighter quarters.
Twice I have gone and there are items missing on the menu. Please, have them in stock if you list them on your menu.
We were very pleased with our luncheon.
Very fresh bread for our sandwiches...lovely filling and the sides were great too.
Food was fantastic and staff were engaged with customers. Highly recommend
The staff are pleasant and efficient. They are willing to meet small requests. The food is very tasty and different from your usual restaurant menu.
The McLeod tea house is such a wonderful old fashioned tea room experience. The ambiance of the old doctors house has been maintained and I enjoy having tea in a REAL tea cup and saucer. The food is delicious and the scones are unsurpassed. The ladies who wait tables are so friendly and accommodating.
Make sure you reserve well ahead of time because it is a very popular place.
Good food and very good service. Would certainly come back.
Lovely tea house. If you want a high tea platter you have to preorder 24 hr in advance.
Overall everything was good. However the Creme Brulee was a bit of a disappointment. The custard was not smooth and there was very little
Will go back again because maybe this was a one of.
The lunch and tea was flavourful and well presented. Over all a pleasant dinning experience made possible by the service.
\hi there, thank you for asking. This was an appointment for 115. We arrived and 100 and got in right away, it was not overly crowded. Our food arrived at 155PM because of a mixup in the kitchen. I was worried because we had 2 hour parking on the street. This was a birthday celebration for a 70th birthday. We have been here before and had really great service and were not disappointed. I am sorry to say that I was not as happy this time with the service. If the meal was to be delayed then perhaps it would have been nice to be offered an appetizer while waiting such as a dinner roll with some butter or even some crackers with an apology that the food would take longer. The burger was quite soggy and lettuce was mushy and soft. Furthermore, the chicken wrap was not sliced in half but whole on the plate and when I sliced into it, it mushed out. My soup was tepid. I could have received the soup earlier and the wrap a little later with a carrot stick?
Sorry to complain but you asked. The little gift bag with the little container of tea and coupons was a nice touch afterwards, thank you.
Fabulous experience!! Very quaint old house with ambiance for days!! Food was very good. Large selection of items to choose from. Service was a bit slow but no one is in a rush to leave this place. So much character both in the dining rooms and upstairs in the boutique. Worth the short drive from the city and will definitely go again
Our lunch was great we haven't seen each other for at least 18 months and we couldn't have pick a better place. From the start we were served by our hostess who wore a mask checked our ID's.we were never rushed or hurried to enjoy our lunch. The squash apple soup delicious, sandwiches heavenly,te perfect and dessert outstanding. Thank-you for a most wonderful experience. See you soon.
Pleasant, friendly server. Food was very good. Dessert floating island was very nice.
Food was great as always. Would recommend this place to anyone.
It was disappointing of the items that were sold out by 1.
Very noisy but we did our part. Haha.
Everything was good. The quiche looked good but forgot to ask how it was.
Excellent food. Especially the chips. Friendly service. Relaxed setting.
Great tasty food, service was lovely and atmosphere was cozy!
excellent again Enjoyed the Thai bowl. Easier to eat when I could put some aside in a box to take home.
very lovely as always..
Great place to catch up with a friend.
Lovely place to eat, there was a few bothersome flies indoors but otherwise delightful
Great good. Great service. Great fun!
