Each high tea comes with; 5 finger sandwiches (varies regularly) Scone with lemon curd, jam and Devonshire And three desserts, (may vary depending on availability) bread pudding, brownie, lemon tart, vanilla cake with ganache, nanaimo square, and more. Each person also has a choice of tea or coffee and a glass of Prosecco.

    It seems the meals are getting a little smaller and more expensive. That is too bad I realize expenses are going up it’s a hard situation all around.

    I made a reservation and mistakenly made it for 2, instead of 3, my sister, elderly mother and myself. The very first thing the waitress did was to let me know of my mistake, "you made it for 2, not 3 people". The place was empty. She sat us in a back room that looked under construction and was very cold with no decor. It went down hill from there, believe it or not. The food was ok, however, my chicken salad sandwich had a lot of grisly pieces that were inedible, unlike the chicken sandwiches I had from here a couple of years ago when I used to order an extra one to take home to my husband. Nope. Fries were home made and were great! Quiche was a bit undercooked. Cheesecake was nothing special. The waitress continued to be cold and totally unapproachable. When we asked for another pot of hot water for tea, she brought out a big container to fill the teacup, and when we told her we just need a pot of hot water, she shook her head and rolled her eyes. No please, thanks, how are you, have a good day, nothing. She was rude enough that we will not return. No need to pay for that. There are lots of places in town to choose from. Thanks.

    I have been here multiple times before and every time I order the soup and an egg sandwich. Every single time, I’ve always gotten the alpine bread and the sandwich was larger. This time I received crappy white bread that was thin and they really cheaper out on the size of your sandwich. Not impressed at all! My bowl of soup wasn’t even filled to the top which for the amount you get charged for the food, they really shouldn’t be that skimpy with it all.

    We booked to have my birthday celebration. The liked High Tea sandwiches very much and we expected Processco to finish our lunch, but it did not arrive, however it was included in the menu and price. We were not notified about that. We asked our waitress after the lunch about Processco and she said that they don't have it and the price of the High Tea was never adjusted accodingly. Also, we didn't like the service because our waitress during the lunch never came to check on us. She just came at the end to get the payment. It spoiled my birthday 😟

    My friend and I experienced High Tea yesterday. It was a wonderful time. The food and service were above and beyond. My friend has had high tea throughout Canada and she said the scones were the best she’s ever had. Great job Jon and staff!

    Enjoyed High Tea with a friend today in their enclosed patio. Lovely sandwiches, dainties and scone with all the proper condiments - lemon curd, cream and jam. Wonderful treat.

    Nice high tea in a lovely old house. Tea selection was good . Tea sandwiches and dainties were ok but not the little fancy sandwiches and bite sized dainties that high teas are famous fir. The scones were the best part of the experience. Perfectly made and delicious. Would go back just to have the scones

    We had a lovely lunch experience. Tasty food and good selection of teas. Can’t beat the atmosphere and details of the fine china. Enjoyed browsing the boutique and taking fun photos in the garden outside afterwards. Always a unique place to dine.

    It was a wonderful experience . Our waitress Zoey was outstanding. Zoey is one of the happiest people I have ever met. She gave us extra time to review the menu . She made our evening so enjoyable. She truly puts 100% into her job. Beautiful place to have dinner!

    We have been going to McLeod House for years and always expect the utmost in value and service and this visit just didn’t live up to our expectations and we were quite disappointed with the quality of food and the lack of sandwich filling in the sandwiches-we will be looking for an alternative location for our next lunch outing!

    I have been faithful customer since Leanne opened, unfortunately over the last few years our visits have lessen due to wasp in veranda last year, now the last two weeks chicken sandwich which was my favorite no longer assist! This week lack Mayo, very dry! Tomatoe basil had no flavor, this week mushroom soup wasn’t very tasty. You need to visit Lillie’s latte in woodlands as there ! Fortunately we visited the rock today,

    McLeod House Tea Room is unique and enjoyable to dine in for any special occasion or just out for a new food experience. The design and setting provides a warm and relaxed atmosphere. A place to share with out of town visitors or in town friends. Enjoy!

    My husband and I have been to McLeod House a number of times. Why? Because of the wonderful, knowledgeable service. The food was delicious, and varied. The food choices wonderful - always an introduction to visit McLeod House again. We are made to feel welcome every time and will definitely visit McLeod House again - to try more of their delicious food. A 5 star dining experience.     The tea was good and kept filled. The high tea selection was to our liking, the scones and toppings were delicious, we liked to try the different sandwiches and found them yummy. Overall, a nice experience.

    Although I’ve eaten here many times and have really enjoyed it, this was not a good experience. The quiche was undercooked and tasteless. After telling the waitress that I couldnt eat it, she said she’d mention it to the cook, but nothing happened after that. No discount and no apology from the manager. The obviously new waitress tried her best, but it made me wonder if they are trained, especially when she asked me if I wanted a take out box for the quiche I couldn’t eat. Also there was no soup available at all and it was only 12:30. Disappointing.

    Had High Tea today with a friend. We dressed up and wore hats. Everything was wonderful! No traffic or construction problems on the way from Winnipeg or on the way home. I highly recommend McLeod House ❤️

    We really enjoyed their afternoon noon tea. It was my birthday and the staff made me feel special. Service was perfect. The tea was excellent a great selection. A glass of sparkling wine included. The food was good - some items better than others, but overall good and a great value for an afternoon tea. I recommend it.

    First time experiencing this establishment. We had lunch consisting of the daily quiche (pepper & onion) and the Steakhouse burger. My wife chose a small broccoli salad as her side, I chose the fries. The quiche was excellent and the salad very good. The burger was a disappointment. When first served, the fries were ice cold, but our great server promptly rectified that and returned with smoking hot ones. The burger itself was mediocre. For the price ($22) I expected a freshly home made burger, but the patty was a commercial one like you can buy at a supermarket. To be honest, I’ve had better burgers at Smashburger or Wayback at a fraction of the cost. Dessert consisted of caramel cheesecake and a cranberry scone with Devonshire cream. Both were excellent. Speaking of excellent, that word describes our server. We noticed people having high tea, and it looked incredibly delicious, so we will likely go back to try that. The house is interesting and has its own unique charm.
