Right in the heart of Montreal, Menthe et Couscous is an unconventional Mediterranean, North African restaurant that serves up a variety of couscous and tajine recipes in a vibrant and fun atmosphere. The dishes at Menthe et Couscous range from small to large and include plenty of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. There are starters like wine dip served with bread, malsouka with spinach, Grilled vegetables tapenade served with tuna and moussaka. Every Friday and Saturday for the 2nd service starting from 7:30pm it is the Bellydance show and set menu dinner, an unparalleled experience with enchanting music and cozy atmosphere.

    It is the most suitable place for a romantic dinner. The music, ambiance and decor makes you travel to the wonderland. The food is absolutely fulfilling and gives you the warmth you want in such an occasion. The service is as good as it gets. I recommend it eyes closed.

    It was an amazing experience. We took many plates and shared them, all was excellent. We took the lamb tajine, the couscous royal, and chef salad as an appetizer and another sizzling merguez. I must tell the quality of food was excellent and all plates were delicious and well presented in their colourful plates. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will come back with a bigger group.

    Le seul point négatif que nous avons ressenti durant notre soirée, c'est que nous n'avons pas d'intimité du tout avec les autres clients qui sont très près de nous. Il n'y a pas d'espace entre les tables.

    Expensive for what it is. Good atmosphere (service is ok) but mediocre/bland couscous (certainly not the best we've had). I found a stone in my baklava.

    The food was truly outstanding! Only minus is the service…Not the quality as everybody was warm and friendly and did their best but the team was understaffed which we can all appreciate at the moment. Just factor in more time to make sure you can enjoy the ambiance and the succulent food!

    Lovely small restaurant with unique marocain decorations. The food was excellent. I recommend the lamb tajine. The belly dancing is fun but it takes over the tiny restaurant! If you are looking for a quiet meal go before the dancing starts. Otherwise get ready to jiggle your additional COVID belly fat 😅😂

    wow ! what a great experience, definitely recommend if you are looking for something intimate and different. food was so flavourful with very fair portions. the space is very cozy and small but nothing but good energy from customers and employees, everyone was very welcoming and entertaining, the belly dancers did very well and really brought everyone and the room together. will definitely be back and continue to recommend this restaurant and experience!

    Great food, good service and nice ambience. The restaurant is small, si it can get noisy pretty fast. Don't take your time eating, reservations are tight.

    The Couscous Royale for two was excellent. Nice amounts of lamb shank which was very tender. Nice range of plates for those not wanting the house specialty. Staff was very accommodating with requested table separation and prices were reasonable. Seemed to be a very neighborhood place (a little out of the way) but very happy we went there.

    I booked through Open Table. However the restaurant didn’t receive the reservation. Good thing I had the email confirmation and they graciously accommodated me. Please investigate why the reservation didn’t make it through. I was not happy with OpenTable.

    Nous adorions ce restaurant. Les plats étaient savoureux. Par contre, lors de notre dernière visite, nous avons trouvé les plats plus fades qu'auparavant. Le service était courtois, mais insistant rapidement pour que nous commandions.

    Very nice restaurant. We had an amazing dinner with excellent lamb and couscous. Their soup is excellent. The service was really attentive and friendly. Very nice bellydance show and music. I recommend it and will come back with my friends.
