We had a large private table group at Pujol and it was unfortunately pretty disappointing, especially for the cost. The service was very mediocre, many in our party sat with empty wine glasses for much of the evening. We had a few allergies where substitutions of key dishes were also very subpar. When we arrived we were told we couldn’t have a drink in the courtyard because they were doing dessert out there, but we were never given that as part of the experience. Overall I’d recommend Pujol for groups of 2-4 but it’s just not worth the cost if you have more than that.

The food was good. However, we made it very clear that I had a nut allergy. We were celebrating my birthday, and they had said they were bringing out a special birthday dessert, which was an almond cake. So once I let them know I can't eat it they said not to worry, that they'll bring out another special dessert. However, this was the "special" dessert that everyone received. Additionally, I had ordered a $3,200 peso bottle of wine. After having a whole course without wine I asked again for the bottle and the som came and said he did not recommend the wine we chose, and recommended another bottle. Before deciding I asked to see the wine list. He showed me his recommendation, at $13,500 pesos. I was extremely frustrated to see that they are trying to push for a wine that wouldn't pair as well, at a $10,000 peso up charge. At the end of the meal, we and the table next to us who we had befriended were offered a Bottle of Towny port for $30 usd to leave the dining room and sit outside. We obliged, however, once outside and two glasses were poured we were informed they decided to actually charge $30 per glass. All in all, great food and ambiance, however while the servers were great, the service was some of the worst I have ever experienced for the price of the meal. I would recommend many other restaurants before this one.

Absolutely top notch. Wait staff go above and beyond and food was incredible. Definitely an art. Our group left happy and full. It takes about 3 hours for the full tasting menu and we left at about $250 pp USD after drinks and tips. A must do in Mexico City!

Food felt like a cube Artist threw a bunch of ingredients on the plate and called it a day. Last couple dishes were just bad. The bean tomal tasted like a cold can of refried beans with Kraft white cheddar powder on top. The 4000 day mole tasted like ordinary mole with tortillas you could’ve gotten at a regular mexican restaurant for 200 pesos. First couple of courses were really good and creative but they were glorified appetizers. Paying this much for appetizers felt like Highway robbery. Only protein we had that was distinguishable was a 2”x2” piece of tuna. Service was 5/5.

The food at Pujol was absolutely delicious! (If you eat seafood) One of us got the regular menu and the other got a vegetarian version. The vegetarian version opted to serve the same dish but remove the meat without making a meaningful substitute most of the time. While I got to taste blue tuna fresh from the north of Mexico, my partner got cauliflower. If you eat the menu as is - it's a fabulous experience that is interesting, well balanced, and so so tasty. In our opinion, the vegetarian version is not worth the price and you are better off searching for a kitchen will create unique vegetarian options.

La nourriture très bonne et originale (le molé était incroyable, les desserts trop sucrés en revanche), le sommelier est très professionnel et connaisseur. Par contre, pour ce tarifs-là, trop de situations hors standard relais châteaux: - on nous parle en anglais en premier au lieu de l'espagnol! On est à Mexico, où est la fierté? - aucune intimité : très bruyant et tables très proches - plus de service à la fin du repas : impossible de prendre un digestif ou un café!!! - le personnel change entre le début et la fin du repas, sans dire au revoir - un oubli (câpres) dans un des plats, donc renvois en cuisine pour refaire le plat - le bar qui ferme plus tôt commence a être nettoyé alors que le restaurant est toujours ouvert : bouteilles de détergents à la vue, sur le bar - comme le service est divisé : j'ai du demander 4 fois la note avant de l'obtenir Donc trop cher pour le service associé et loin du Pujol d'il y a 10 ans! The food was very good and original (the molé was incredible, the desserts too sweet on the other hand), the sommelier is very professional and knowledgeable. But, for this price, too many situations out of the standard relais chateaux: - they speak to us in English first instead of Spanish! We are in Mexico, where is the pride? - no intimacy: very noisy and very close tables - no more service at the end of the meal: impossible to take a digestif or a coffee! - the staff changes between the beginning and the end of the meal, without saying goodbye - an oversight (capers) in one of the dishes, so they send back to the kitchen to redo the dish - the bar which closes earlier starts to be cleaned while the restaurant is still open: bottles of detergents in sight, on the bar - as the service is divided : I had to ask 4 times for the bill before getting it So too expensive for the associated service and far from the Pujol of 10 years ago!

My partner and I regularly dine at high end restaurants around the world, and this is one of the worst experiences we have ever had. (So bad I’m writing my first open table review). The food is fine but nothing special. The wine list is ridiculously over priced (bottles that would cost $25 in the US priced at $150 and over). The pours by the glass were offensively tiny— something that is tacky and low grade. And the ambience was lacking. I felt like I was dining at a Hilton in Ft Lauderdale.

The lunch was very pleasant, the first courses were incredible, perfect execution, impeccable presentation, with a modern, minimalist cuisine, and the wonderfully Mexican flavors, and the presentations were a treat for the eyes. The corn with coffee mayonnaise I will be remembered forever. Snail ceviche, was original, perfect, full in the mouths. A stuffed nori seaweed, combined the perfection of Mexican and Japanese cuisine. Wonderful the famous "mole" dish with its Santa sheet tortilla. Three dishes disappointed me, the main one, which was the fish catch of the day, which was nothing special, nothing new that I hadn't tried in some Italian trattoria. The tamale, which tasted correct, but the execution did not seem like a restaurant of the category of Pujol, and the presentation even less. And the dessert had wonderful ice cream, but the rest of the creams, pastry and textures did not blend together. It is not a small thing that three dishes are not at the level of one of the best restaurant in the world in a tasting menu, when the menu has 7 steps. We asked the somelie for a wine tasting, as far as possible they are from Mexico, to see how the industry is, they were arriving, a good sparkling wine, whites and reds. But the blend in some cases did not work. The architecture of the place is marvelous, impeccable, modernism, I liked everything, the bar, the garden, the main room, the furniture. But yes, there are many tables in the room, and very close to each other. I feel that instead of having lunch in my case with my husband, I was eating together with my neighbors of left and right. Looks a table for 6 people, this is e big mistake for this kind of restaurant. The room is full of people, and you have to add the number of waiters that is exagerate. I celebrate the acoustics of the place, for the number of people in the room. I was happy with this experience because of the four dishes, which show a modern Mexican kitchen. But…

Very nice place. Good for special occasions. Wide variety of food on the menu (regular menu). One person in the party was allergic to seashell and instead of cooking a fish for her they gave her the vegetarian option. Not a good change when they had alternative protein. This change was unexpected, they could have asked before if that person accepted or not that option. But they did not.
