Thanks you. Dim Sum excellent. So thank you for at least 50 characters.
It was terrible. They were better when they were a fine dining restaurant!
Atmosphere was fantastic. Burger bun (couldn't eat the top bun) and sweet potato spirals were a bit overcooked. Music kept skipping. Otherwise experience was great!
First time at Mercer hall. Exactly what we were looking for after the theatre. Will definitely be back.
This was one of the surprises of our trip to Stratford. The service was relaxed, friendly and helpful. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. Craft beer selection was excellent. The quality of the dishes are something you'd expect at places three times as expensive. All foodies must eat here :-)
We went here for a pre-show dinner on Saturday night. It was busy, but our drinks and appetizer came within reasonable time. Then we were waiting for our entrees and after some time, they came and told us that they had overcooked our food and didn't feel comfortable serving it to us. They were aware that we needed to catch a show and had limited time and asked us to choose something else from the menu as our choice would take long time to be re-cooked. We were totally fine with this and weren't upset at all but these guys were absolutely wonderful and gave us our whole meal including the drinks and apps on the house!! We were overwhelmed by their kindness. We have gone to many restaurants where things went wrong but something this generous has never happened before. We even insisted to pay a bit but they did not let us. The manager (or atleast I think he was) even offered a ride to the theater if it got too late as we were going to walk 20 mins to it). Any future visit to Stratford will always consist of a meal at this establishment. Their generosity has left a mark on us.
And on the plus side - the food was fantastic.
Service cordial but super slow, even for drinks at the beginning. Food ok, not great, but at least not super expensive.
Mercer is my go to in Stratford. Our server Courtney was attentive and fun and had excellent knowledge of the menu. The food is always interesting, fresh and delicious! My husband's first time there and he agrees...great spot before or after the theatre!
Food was awesome! Server Jake was great. We have been to this resturant 3 times and loved it each time.
The Mercer Hall restaurant offers a great menu with a lot of variety. The restaurant is beautifully appointed with a lot of lighting. The food is prepared very well and with a lot of creativity. The service is very good at this restaurant. They also have a large variety of local craft beer. I strongly recommend this restaurant.
This was my third time to Mercer and will probably be my last. The physical menu is confusing and the food choices are lack lustre. There was truly nothing that I wanted. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive but we left feeling that it was a wasted evening out.
My general impression of the menu is that the chef wants to modernize everyday dishes and it’s a huge fail.
This restaurant has an eclectic menu that has something for most tastes. we had a breakfast, lunch and dinner there over 4 days, and were delighted at each meal. They have a meatloaf sandwich that is to die for. Sunday brunch includes a menu of small plates, including Scotch egg, veggie spring rolls and meatballs in tomato sauce, all of which were tasty and enjoyable. Even better is the selection of beers and ales which are fabulous.
I enjoyed the veggie bang mi sandwich very much. My husband had the buttermilk fried chicken (which was quite delicious) but the plate was very large for a lunch meal. Large biscuit, & potato salad seemed like too much food alongside two pcs of chicken. (Almost felt like we were in the US with extra large portions) No white meat either. Great atmosphere though. Love the decor. The food is too good to plate so heavily. All in all, I would definitely return.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Can't go wrong with burgers. We ait on the patio.
Both meals and dessert were fabulous. Busy though so if you are attending a show we recommend giving yourself 2 hours for a lunch.
Interesting, although somewhat unfocused, menu, with influences from various cuisines. Some preparations seemed to cater to the masses (i.e., no anchovies in the Caesar salad). Our food was quite good nonetheless, however.
Great menu, good unique choices, very tasty
Prompt and efficient service
Friendly staff, excellent food at a reasonable price but the kitchen is a bit slow
We had the Chicken & Ribs Family meal and the food was fabulous. The meat just fell off the ribs and the chicken coating was crispy and the meat, tender and juicy. The potato salad was good and the french fries were delicious, however, the coleslaw was kinda odd, as if it had been run through a food processor or something.
Anyway, the food was overall very good and we all enjoyed it and our server, Emily, was extraordinarily attentive and friendly, however, the restaurant is a bit on the pricey side generally speaking.
Enjoyed our lunch. All employees very friendly and hepful.
Mercer Hall is a recommended restaurant. Has a lot of Asian (Vietnamese) fusion dishes offered. Wonderful selection of craft beers.
A small menu, but excellent food. The beef stroganoff was delicious and such a generous portion I was unable to order either the Sticky Toffee Pudding or the Eaton Mess for dessert. Next time, dessert first!
Service was very friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. Nice variety on menu!
We were a group of seven and if it wasn't for the fried sweet potatoes your food would have been rated excellent. They were overcooked and cold when they came to the table and hardly touched by anybody.
Best choice; the smoked salmon.
Otherwise the choices on the menu were excellent.
The service was outstanding.
Our new favourite place when visiting Stratford....wish we were there more often to sample other items on the menu.....
Both of our meals were excellent and came in a timely manner. My husband had the special of the day, a risotto which he said was very good and I had a chicken and brisket sandwich with fries and all were delicious.
Excellent friendly service
Broad range of variety of food items on the menu
The white fish on the Pablo fish burger was a little disappointing but everything else great
Our server also asked if we were going to theatre so food came to the table in a reasonable time
We were a party of 4
We found our dinner experience to be just that “an experience”! It was fun, delicious and entertaining. The selection of beer was overwhelming for me (I’m a wine drinker), but my husband was smiling! Food was excellent! Service was amazing! Yes I would go back!
Fantastic food, great service and love the atmosphere. Fun and vibrant without being loud.
Good food, good service. In a great atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for anything better
Best restaurant in Stratford! Great decor and amazing food!! Must try: Pork steam bun, mac & cheese, and Karaage!!!
Wonderful food, great service (well informed and prompt). We will be back.
All the staff we encountered were very helpful and willing to take the time to make our time there enjoyable. Generous portions of food which was served promptly even though the restaurant was almost full. Fried Brussels Sprouts are a must try.
Food was fantastic: will go back for the Korean BBQ rice bowl again; my two dining companions loved their meals too. Service was great. Music playlist had me trying to figure songs out to buy later. Interior is done up nicely.
It was our first trip to Mercer Hall.
We loved the menu choices. Our server was very knowledgeable and personable. And, she was able to guide us through the plating experience. We throughly enjoyed her and the plates that arrived. We will definitely return to Mercer Hall.
Make reservations and ensure to do it well in advance as this place is busy and it gets quite full very fast.
Enjoyed the Coconut Curry Soup (it was divine!) and the Korean BBQ Glazed Crispy Chicken Rice Bowl. Amazing!
Mercer Hall is unique in its extensive and diverse menu. It also has a wide and deep selection of mixed drinks, beers and wines. It’s a great spot.
We ate lunch at Mercer Kitchen before a matinee performance and liked it so much we returned for dessert after the show. Excellent food and very friendly wait staff.
Only thing that needs improving is the coffee, very weak!
Nice ambience, good service, new innovative dishes; pretty good value overall
Excellent Asian inspired food. Canadian food is also on a fairly extensive menu. Soup was amazing. Pleasant servers. We would go again,
