Always a great time. Tamara (sp) is a wonderful staff member who is always ready with a wine description or recommendation. We love coming here and having a membership makes it all the more affordable. Great food, wonderful wines, and top-notch customer service!

Rated 4.5 stars on open table. As we pulled up it’s a regular parking lot with a valet. We walked inside it was well decorated for the holidays so we sat down and order some drinks and apps. Don’t get the mermaid fries they are sad limp not even fried. My girlfriend order the scallops and quinoa as I ordered the duck. When served duck was over cooked skin was burnt and was a plain simple dish. My girlfriends dish was a massive portion of quinoa versus the scallops. Not to mention the scallops were not fresh and cooked like rubber. The staff was very nice about the situation but if your looking for a nice place this is not it unless the kitchen steps it up.

We came here for a belated birthday dinner and it was so hard to choose between the entrees! Everyone ordered something different so we could share between us and it was ALL delicious. Great wine selection as well.

The scallop gnocchi special was good but the ratio between the two was not good. Not enough scallops or too much gnocchi. We sat outside and there was some sort of group next to us making too much noise. I thought you had valet parking when we were there before? The waiter misunderstood and brought the check before we could decide on dessert. He corrected his mistake though!

This was our monthly wine club pick up. We always do a tasting and then dinner. Our tasting host, as always, was a absolute pleasure. He was knowledgeable about the offerings and super friendly. For dinner, we had our usual appetizer, the humus tray, then the grilled cheese for me and the salmon stack for her. The humus tray, as always, was delicious! My grilled cheese sandwich was delicious with the bread perfectly toasted. Her salmon stack was good as well but a little scimpy on the salmon. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended.

I am a wine club member and this was wine pick up. It was also Wine Down Wednesday so I made reservations. We were seated in the wine tasting area. Our server was excellent! She made recommendations and was attentive. We did the wine tasting and enjoyed it. The guy doing the tasting did a great job. The food was delicious. We had the tuna steak. Perfect date night.

Jameson was a friendly and knowledgeable server, who was very polite and punctual with his service and in getting items out to the table. We had a girls' birthday lunch, and the guest of honor was very happy with the ambiance, food and wine.

My fiancée and I have planned our wedding ceremony and reception here and have dined several times, including friends and family, to prepare for seasonal wine selections and to check food quality and service consistency. This is an excellent place to enjoy a great meal and an amazing selection of wines in an upscale casual indoor dining room/bar and/or rustic environment on the pleasant environmentally controlled patio environment. The tasting room makes for a perfect casual or formal venue for small to medium events and includes it's own full service bar and a window wall the length of the room to appreciate the wine creation, barreling, aging and bottling process.

We went for Fathers Day during the day. Our server (Tamara) was amazing. She checked in on us frequently and was very accommodating. I’m very happy that it was kid-friendly and they provided a kids menu. The ambiance was beautiful and the mood lighting was very nice. The filet mignon was delicious and cooked to our liking. But the potato tacos could use improvement. The wine flights were also amazing and provide a variety of different wines, which we ended up getting bottle. Overall experience was 10/10. We will definitely return.

Loved the place. Very extensive wine list with lots of variety and wide price range. Our waiter was phenomenal! Knew his wines and his recommendations were great. Ambience was wonderful both inside and out. Heaters and firepits made a chilly spring evening comfortable for sitting outside. Plenty of outdoor ceiling fans for a breeze on warm summer nights. Some menu items weren't for me (brie, goats cheese, squid ink grits...) but there were plainer dishes for less sophisticated palettes like mine. We'll be back!

Loved the valet parking at no additional charge. Loved the ambiance and how the restaurant looks. The food choices were unique and delicious. The wine choices and taste racks were a unique experience. Evan was a Superman. He made us feel welcomed and was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and would visit again.

Jameson was an excellent server! I will say - I did call to increase our reservation for three more people - I was told by the young girl whom answered the phone that - that was impossible as all tables were full. While we dined for about 2.5 hours - there was only ONE other table of six in the room we were in (room on right from door) the main dining - bar area had about three tables. It is a shame that staff would turn away additional business.

We had no idea the menu was so limited — we were expecting a full brunch menu & were presented instead with a 4-item menu and another small menu with very limited options. The experience was not worth the effort it took to get to the restaurant and left us with a very disappointing Mother’s Day dining experience. In addition, we had to submit to having our car parked in the restaurant parking lot which had multiple unoccupied spaces, requiring that we tip the attendant. We will never return to this restaurant.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews and decided on this restaurant. The food was excellent! We did send a drink back that was too sweet but the waiter was very understanding. The menu had a variety of well crafted dishes! Highly recommend!

This visit to the Mermaid was for my wedding anniversary. As usual the experience was very good. Service was great food was ok. This place is suppose to be a higher end restaurant. It is located in a city that specializes in seafood. They have two different salmon items on their menu. Surprise no salmon today the waiter says. Why it was only 6:39. You can’t be out of salmon already. This was very disappointing. My wife come here on special occasions and have always enjoyed our dinners here. The Brie appetizer was ok it was smaller than we had experienced in the past. No soup dejure no soup at all. I am not sure what is happening at Mermaid but we both were underwhelm and for the price this is not really worth it. Will probably look elsewhere for special occasions. By the way I mentioned on my reservation that it was our wedding anniversary. I am not sure why I bother the restaurant doesn’t seem to read these special occasions any way.
