    The min the chips and salsa came to table we new it wasn't going to taste good. salsa had no flavor or spice . the food was not authentic at all. Tortillas were from walmart . rice and beans just not good at all. no flavor

    This restaurant is a must! I’m from Chicago and cancelled my reservation at one of the highest ranked restaurants in Destin to eat at this restaurant AGAIN! My mom and I went two nights in a row because it was that good! Felipe is the best waiter! Chips & salsa were delicious and I can’t stop thinking about the carnitas! Highly recommend!!!

    That’s gonna be a “nah son” For me dog! Another miss after seeing several 4 and 5 star reviews. I don’t get it. Maybe there are a lot of locals or visitors that haven’t experienced good Tex Mex or authentic Mexican food..? But right away our server was just kind of , there. She wasn’t rude but not friendly either. The place wasn’t packed at all. The wife and I shared combo fajitas, at 25$, which we figured would be enough to share as we’ve seen similar plates at other restaurants and we tend to eat light. Well the plate came out 5 small strips of chicken and beef. They looked like they were warmed up, tasted like it too. Tortillas ( only 3) were store bought and also barely warm. We were charged for an additional 3 tortillas. My sons crispy chicken taco arrived cracked down the middle already. The food is what you’d expect from a fast food joint, nothing more! Can’t always trust reviews!

    Found this wonderful establishment through Open Table and glad we did! My wife and I had an outstanding meal. Everything, from the great, open air building space, outside patio area with live music (currently Th-Fri), friendly and attentive staff, and great Mexican food - 5 Stars! If you're in the Destin area, I'd encourage a visit to Mezcals. Plenty of room for everyone in your group. We will be back again!

    The only disappointment I have is that we ordered $14 margaritas and ending up being charged $21 for each of them because we were served large one... but the menu does NOT say that there are different sizes/prices.

    We loved this place! Food was very high quality Mexican food with some amazing salsa and even better cheese dip. Options on the menu for those not feeling it. The margaritas are fabulous and the bar area is great. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant and the service reciprocates this. You will not be disappointed. This place also has easily viewable tv’s which is a big plus for us but doesn’t feel like a sports bar. Just an FYI we had 6 entrees w/ soft drinks, 2 cheese dips, and 2 large margs and we were at $245 with tip… sometimes nice to have a comparison so there you go. You need to go for sure! Real good.

    This is a GREAT place to eat. It has reasonable prices, delicious food, and great service. (Ask for Pablo). It's the best Mexican food we've found in the local area and our location is a tourist destination. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. The server frequently checked on us. Can't say enough good things and really don't have any recommendations for change. The food arrived PIPING hot.

    The food and drinks were SO good! The queso blanco was simple, yet so delicious. I highly recommend the cantarito if you are in the mood for a smooth, but tasty and refreshing alcoholic beverage. I would have given 5 stars, but the service was awful. Our server forgot about us and we waited a very long time to order. We had to flag him down just to put our order in. He was very spacey and in a hurry. We will be back again. Hopefully, service will be better the next time.

    Great experience. Salsa was delicious. Entrees seemed to be really enjoyed by entire group of 8. Service was very good. Place was packed, table was ready when we arrived. Nice break away from traditional seafood restaurants in the area. Definitely would return.

    Very tasty! Guacamole was very good, chips are thin and crunchy, and salsa was great though different than we have up north! Service was great, we would absolutely recommend and return. One of the few family spots taking reservations in the area of Destin we were staying!

    We visited while on vacation for a holiday. Service started out ok and progressively got worse. Our service never returned to clean dirty items off the table or refill our drinks. We had to wait a while for her to get back just to ask for silverware and extra plates. The drinks were not good at all, we ended up not drinking them. The food was mediocre at best. My sister had to send her plate back because it appeared to be a piece of aluminum tucked in her taco. A manger never came over. Overall, I would not recommend or ever return to this place.
