Very loud obnoxious group next to our party swearing and being loud.
Ordered Hummus and other dips and pita never came after asking 3 times.
First, thanks to Becca, our wonderful and patient server. She was attentive when we needed her and left us alone when we wanted privacy. I didn't pay, but I hope her tip reflected our delight in her service. The food was great, just the right amount and very well-prepared. Nice wine list. The only negative is that the night had to end!
The service was really really slow, though and we were pushed to order more expensive items at every chance, which was embarrassing to me and to my guests.
Loved the tapas and my drinks (sangria and ginger margarita) but was disappointed with no dessert! They had two choices but after a relatively large menu, I would have thought they had at least a few to choose from. Best tzatziki ever and we eat a lot of Greek food!
Good ambiance, a little noise coming up from the bar but still not too loud.

Great food in a cozy atmosphere. Accommodating of vegetarian diet as well as nut allergies.
The host forgot about us. He said five minutes for our table and to wait at the bar. We never saw him again.

Very poor service. Host seemed oblivious to arriving customers, we waited over half an hour just to be seated despite having a reservation. We were then ignored for a further half an hour despite asking servers to see a menu. At this point we decided to leave. Would not recommend.
Service was horrible. Host was overwhelmed and left many parties waiting a long time to be seated. Quality of food has greatly diminished. The lamb chops were dry and lacking in flavor. The tzatziki was thick and weird. Very disappointed in whole experience. Won't return any time soon.
We reserved a table on a Saturday night. Arrived about 5 minutes early. We stood at the door (there is no real waiting area for customers) for a host or anyone to greet us or seat us. After waiting a while, the host/manager came up to the area where we were waiting, but he did not in any way acknowledge us. He went into the bar area, where we observed him talking to one patron, then another who were sitting at the bar. He finally re-appeared and asked if he could help us. We told him we had a reservation and he said it would be a few minutes wait for a table. By then, about 15 minutes had gone by since we first arrived, and decided that if this was any indication of what the evening would be like, we'd better try another restaurant. I have NO problem waiting for a table, even if I have a reservation. I find it in explicable that we would not be greeted and would be ignored for a non-crisis reason.
Service was terrible. We ordered the simple tasting platter for restaurant week, and waited at least 45 minutes between each course. We did not have time to wait for dessert because we had prior obligations that we were late for. Drinks were spilled (we understand accidents happen), but we felt neglected as we were seated in a small back room, tucked away in a corner. We were without water or cocktails for most of the meal as it took at least 30 min to get a drink. Food was "good" but my husband made the point that we could have ordered to same meal from Samos take-out for 1/4 of the price. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.
A friend and I had dinner here on Thursday evening for Restaurant Week. Initially, I was a little bit hesitant to make a reservation here after reading countless negative reviews about poor service and long wait times. When we were greeted at the door, a staff member (I'm unsure if it was the hostess or another FOH employee) welcomed us, asked for our reservation, and then asked us if we would like to sit at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. After reading so many negative reviews about this happening to other guests who waited forever to be seated after being asked this, we politely declined and said that we would just wait for the table. After a couple of minutes of standing there, a gentleman approached us and asked us about our reservation and led us upstairs to be seated, which was mostly empty aside from a large party.
The food and service were both excellent, unlike many of the reviews had led us to believe. All of the courses were timed perfectly, and drinks were delivered in a timely manner. Our server was super friendly and informative.
Our whole experience was wonderful. I would just recommend that the restaurant either works on actually employing a host, or figures out a more steadfast procedure for the host stand.
Kali's Mezze is the original Mezze in Baltimore and it hasn't stopped being an authentic delicious mediterranean masterpiece! Will forever love the food, ambiance, staff, wine selection and authentically humorous host!
The food was great but the service was terrible. Our food came out cold and the server rolled her eyes because we asked for hot food.
Food was great! Service not so much. Granted it was New Year’s Eve, but we were there for 3 and 1/2 hours, the place was not full, we waited over and hour and a half for the second round of tapas. Management walked by but no management came over to explain or apologize. I’m not one to complain but this was something I have never experienced. We hoped that once we received our tab they would have handled the situation appropriately. Instead we saw a 20% built in gratuity and no discount. Only after one of us complained to management did we receive compensation for an order of drinks. Not the best New Year’s Eve experience
Mezze is our favorite Tapas restaurant!
Our experience at Mezze was terrible. We had a reservation on Christmas Eve to celebrate a friend's birthday and there was only one other table filled in the entire restaurant. Dinner for 8 people (in an empty restaurant) was 3.5 hours long. Our service and wait was terrible. To top it off, a friend call ahead and bought a bottle of champagne for the birthday girl and we NEVER received the bottle of champagne she purchased. To make our experience at Mezze even worse, we split the check 8 ways and 24 hours later one person ended up with the entire balance on their credit card. It was fail after fail after fail. We will never being going back.
Entree was brought before the soup appetizer. That meant our meal cooled while we ate the soup. They gave us a free dessert, but the serving mistake and overcooked octopus made this restaurant a poor choice.
first time to Mezze!! Tried the tasting menu and really enjoyed it. Portion size was very generous and the food was very tasty. Our server was pleasant and kept checking back to see if we needed anything.
