Great ossobuco, slow service, outdated decor and harsh lighting downstairs. Will come again for the food, but it's not really a romantic dinner place and be prepared to stay 1.5 hrs at least.

A beautiful Italian gem close to home (Deming). Servers were very personable and attentive. Food was fantastic and wine selection was great (would have liked more Italian options - like Barbera or Borolo - but found a Pinot noir and Chianti that were very good). We will definitely be back!

Having spent a few weeks in Italy earlier this year we were looking for a reminder of tge wine and food. Cosimo did not disappoint. He is definitely the best Italian restaurant in west El Paso if not the whole city. The Pistachio Pasta was awesome. The shrimp cooked perfectly and fork tender. The sauce rich and creamy with the perfect balance between cheese and pistachio. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Eggplant Parmigiana and it all paired beautifully with the Carpazo Brunello. If your not familiar with Italian wines don’t fear. Cosimo will pair you meal wonderfully and with a wine in your price range Great meal that brought great memories of Tuscany

I was referred to this restaurant by a friend and after looking at the website and menu I was excited to go so I made reservations for New Years Eve. When we got to the restaurant, we were handed a menu where we only had a choice of a 3 course or 4 course meal which were both over $100 per person. I asked the server where the regular menu was and she said they weren’t doing the regular menu and we should have been told about the special menu when we made our reservations. Not only were we not told about the special menu (well over $100 per person) but we were sent the normal menu on our confirmation email. Additionally we went to the website and searched and nothing mentioned a special menu. Poor job on the restaurant not to mention anything about this special menu, anywhere on their website and due to it being New Years Eve we were unable to get into another restaurant and we had family in town.

We travel between NM and ME and struggle to find good food. Our meal was fantastic! Great service; food presentation was amazing and our meals were delicious. Best meal in several years. We will drive the 100 miles to experience your restaurant again.

Dinner for 4 people and drinks was not expensive. The food was outstanding, this is coming from an ex-New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn. Great place to quiet conversations with dinner guests.

Very friendly staff, great service. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the restaurant. (1) Ran out of beef carpaccio, 2) scoglio didn't have much fish in it and I don't think any scallops, 3) didn't have a wine on the menu in stock, 4) the restaurant is very sparsely decorated and has a kind of "warehouse" feel to it, including pipes running long the ceiling ... not very romantic. Re the question that OpenTable asks, "would you recommend restaurant to a friend", I really wish they would add a "It Depends" option. It depends on what the friend is looking for. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

We have been to Mi Piaci many times over the years. The service is good and the food is deliciously prepared and presented. The ambiance is perfect and table conversation is not hindered by loud music. Very good wine selection, too. This has been consistent service we have found.

We went to Mi Piaci after seeing the pictures on their Facebook page! What we got was not like the picture at all. The plate I got was the filetto de manzo, I asked for the cooking temperature medium. Half was medium the other half was well done the asparagus were frozen and not fresh not worth the almost $50 price. My husband ordered the seafood pasta he enjoyed the seafood but the pasta sauce was more like chef boyardee. Very disappointing experience. Will not be returning.

There were only two avid servers that were doing their best to help customers, but their response time was very slow. There were only a handful of customers dining at the time, and a full time bartender, so we were unsure why they seemed like they were so overwhelmed. The food wasn’t so bad, but it was heavily overpriced. It was also a little hot in the dining area. This was for my fiancée’s birthday, so we were a little disappointed. I would highly recommended Mesa Street Grill over this restaurant any day; much better pricing, much quieter and the food was of a higher quality. The main reason we came to Mi Piaci was because my fiancée loves Jersey Shore and the cast viewed Mi Piaci as the “best Italian restaurant” in El Paso, TX which is a huge hyperbole.

Mi Piaci has a lot of potential. The service was amazing - everyone was stellar, down to the bartender running a stylized shop pouring drinks to the classic Italian tunes. The food was really good. We ordered calamari and bruschetta. The former was undercooked and wet, and the latter was too oily (but very tasty). Our entrees were superb. I ordered thr pesto gnocchi which was very good. My husband ordered a chicken pasta fish in beschemal. Very yummy! The ambience was not great. They have this huge dark room with one ENORMOUS WINDOW that let's light into a fraction of the restaurant. I was unlucky enough to be seated such that my husband was in the dark, and I was staring directly into the searing El Paso sunlight. It was terribly. My husband switched spots with me which was very nice, but guys, do something about the window. Seriously. It does not jive with the atmosphere. On top of that, there was no other mood lighting. So just black, or death by a thousand sun's. Dessert was a delicious sweet mascarpone dish, and an awful lava cake that was gritty and cold on the inside. No lava, just cold, gritty chocolate mush. All in all, a good restaurant for El Paso. The highlights were the wonderful service and the delicious entrees. Lowlights were primarily the ambience/environment.

First time eating here and it exceeded all expectations. This was the most authentic Italian food in El Paso. Anything topped with the Parmesan toast should be highly considered just for the topping! It’s amazing!
