Our menu is filled with homestyle traditional Italian recipes sourced from owner Dave Nicholas' Sicilian grandmother. An elegant wine list accompanies beer and craft cocktails on the beverage menu. Dine downstairs and watch the signature Sicilian-style rectangular pizzas cook in the 800-degree brick oven, or upstairs to view the energetic open kitchen. Mia’s has moved into one of our top 5 favorite restaurants in Old Town Alexandria! It’s a modern American take on classic Italian cuisine. The lasagne is probably one of the best we have ever had. It is baked in a personal size skillet and comes out hot and sizzling. Their pizza is of equal quality and excellent. The new “taste of Mia’s” menu option is a great value and offers a little of everything. Atmosphere is lively and is not for those looking for a quite intimate meal. Service is average especially when busy.

It’s my favorite place to get any sort of meal and to bring people when they’re visiting! I always have a great experience. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly, and the aesthetics are great.

I took my 12 YO granddaughter to Mia's Kitchen to celebrate her birthday, and they made the occasion special and memorable for her. She devoured her pizza and pronounced it the best she'd ever had, and then dug into my carbonara, which was delicious. As a birthday treat, our server (who was attentive and professional) brought a warm chocolate (brownie? cake?) topped with ice cream and a candle--a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Can't wait to go back. There are so many things on the menu we want to try!

This restaurant was fantastic. I haven’t been back to Old Town Alexandria in almost 20 years so I was very excited to be back. Mia’s was an excellent choice for us. We were seated inside by an open window, which was such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Our food was delivered perfectly and quickly, our server was upbeat and fun, and overall this was probably my favorite meal of the whole week that we were in DC. Great pizza, pasta, and cocktails!

Lovely ambience and service. They have floor to ceiling French doors at every table that lines the front wall, keeping them open made the indoor seating delightful. Food came out quick and was perfect as well. Thanks for a great 21st birthday dinner 🤝

A wonderful restaurant with pizza made downstairs and gourmet Italian dishes upstairs. We were upstairs with good air conditioning and murals on the ceiling. Italian Great antipasto and main courses. We had lasagna, chicken piccata and branzino and all were delicious. The staff was superb.

I’m sad because I love coming here. And get the mussels every time. But this time the mussels were so over cooked. I couldn’t enjoy myself. And I was craving and so excited to go back. But I was disappointed.
