    Food was basic. Very small portion of meat that they compensated with a ton of fries. Drinks were very expensive and not great. However the service was great.

    Amazing app & salad. Steak cooked to perfection! Best dessert ever. My only constructive critique would be less fries served with steak and steamed veggies added. Would definitely dine here again and highly recommend the Gamay wine

    We went to a steakhouse but had no steak! We shared a bunch of oysters and appies, and we never quite made it to mains. Our waitress was lovely and helpful, and the food was delicious.

    What a great restaurant! I didn’t know about the Speakeasy downstairs so others should check that out. We were upstairs where the music was perfect pop rock hip, bar was full of chatting people. Every table had a story going on. Great vibe! Young old and diverse crowd. Meal itself from beginning to end was great. Great drinks - lychee martini best ever. And a cream of mushroom soup that was indescribably divine. Steak was cooked perfectly. Couldn’t decide between crème brûlée or chocolate mouse to share. So we got both. Yum! I would go back but we are only here for the weekend and there are so many great restaurants here!

    Innaceptable. Après deux heures d’attente avec trois enfants nous n’avions toujours pas reçu notre nourriture. Nous avons quitté sans mangé. Nous avions lu les commentaires précédents sur la lenteur de la cuisine mais cela a dépassé nos pires scénarios. Jamais vu cela de notre vie. Pathétique

    A cute little corner place in the historic district, with moderate prices and fabulous food. The artisan cocktails were delicious, and the steak and frites were perfect. I recommend taking the micro greens salad...delish.

    I love Mignon Steak on Notre Dame and never had a bad experience there but the one in Old Port was something else... prepare yourself to be forgotten by staff, for your table not to be cleared, for no water to be brought, to wait and wait and wait to be able to get the waiter to look your way, to get served cold cappuccinos??? And not get a single smile from staff during your meal. PS we were a party of 6 for my mom's bday soo you would think that they would want to get those tips lol

    My husband and I’s first time at Mignon (of either location); I was craving steak. We were warmly welcomed by Mehdi and were seated downstairs in the Negroni Room. We were the first ones there (7:20pm) and it quickly filled within the hour. Our server was Johnny; he made our experience so enjoyable as he was fun to chat with and he had the perfect balance of checking in on us, giving us space, and providing recommendations from the wine list and Negroni menu. The other staff that helped us were great too. The food we ordered: steak table (cooked rare) d’hôte with salad, salmon tartar, asparagus salad. All items were good, especially the fries that came with the steak. Steak itself was okay.I would have liked something a little juicier. The fries were perfect! Drinks: a Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio white wine - delicious! Thanks for the rec Johnny and Mehdi! Negronis ordered: sbagliato (yum!), sour (yum!), coffee (mid). We would definitely come back!

    - Endroit bien décoré et propre. - Toutefois, le service était très lent et n’était pas à l hauteur du prix payé. - Sens du service inexistant et pas l’écoute des demandes. - Nous avons commandé un menu avec une entrée des fruits de mer et un filet mignon. Les entrées n’étaient pas bonnes et puis fallait relancer le serveur pour nous apporter la suite qui n’a visiblement pas été commandée. Filet mignon fait à la va vite - Serveurs fantômes car ils ont disparu de la salle pendant 10 min en laissant les clients seuls pour partir servir un groupe de clients (on aurait pu partir sans payer et personne ne se serait aperçu !!) - Pas de pourboire car le service n’a pas été apprécié et la un des serveurs nous a poursuivi à la sortie avec des propos agressifs. Nous rappelons que ce serveur n’était même pas celui qui nous a servi et même différent de celle qui a pris la commande. - Nous avons quand même voulu prendre le temps de lui expliquer pourquoi le pourboire n’était pas donné mais il est resté sur son agressivité - Nous ne recommandons pas , BIG FLOP ET ATTRAPE TOURISTE

    Mignon on Notre-Dame holds a special place in my heart as one of my go-to dining spots. Recently, my group of four opted for a delightful evening, starting with a round of oysters and martinis. Due to unavailability at the Notre-Dame site, we settled for the Old Port location. Regrettably, our experience fell short, with overcooked steaks and a considerable wait time of an hour and a half. This has left us with reservations about revisiting the Old Port venue. However, we're still looking forward to our next visit at the Notre-Dame location.

    Charming bistro in Vieux Montréal. Started with a half dozen oysters (only $1 CN each) and thoroughly enjoyed our classic steak frites served with either soup or salad (we chose one of each and shared) - both excellent, the salad was beautiful! Full bar with lots of interesting choices. We’d go back next time we’re lucky enough to visit Montréal.

    Food was good, not great. Service was slow and inexperienced. Water delivered and no drink order taken until we flagged the server down. Wrong drinks served. Server did not check to see if our food was good. Wrong charge on bill. Corrected when we brought it to their attention. Didn’t clear table before bringing bill. Lots of potential here but service was quite mediocre. Not sure if we would return

    This was by far the best steakhouse meal I’ve encountered in the past 7 years living in this area. Service was great with true attention to detail, food was amazing (a really simple focussed menu, but everything so well presented) and the whole experience very memorable. I would highly recommend this place over others nearby.

    I would like to share my experience last 5 August 23, regarding the employees were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was good but little noisy due one of other customer was quit loud but it’s ok. Regarding the service was avg to low due we ordered 2 filet and 2 striploin, unfortunately all came as striploin , also the food get late and cold , note the restaurant wasn’t much busy and can the operation and service done far better from what we received. Also the server offered us desert due to the mistake and delays from their behalf, they didn’t bring it and unfortunately just asked and suggested if we like to order desert, in my opinion and experience once such mistake and delay in the service happened the desert that offered by the employees should automatically provided and never ask. Note we still tip your employees but this is not suppose to be done. Note: I’m in restaurants operations and development since 23 years and my first time I visited your restaurant and I suggest to take care more into service detail and kitchen synchronization, so the food and time manner go smooth, as your rules if a party of 4 can stay 2 h max, also focus on employee training how to handle customers and mainly silent customers as these customer will go and never come back. Regards

    We had 24 oysters (they were $1 each, so we went wild!), the shrimp cocktail, and the 7oz AAA steak. The meal was delicious and great value considering the quality, the location, and the trendy vibe. Service was prompt, friendly, and professional.

    My husband and I dined here today with our 10 month old baby and had a phenomenal experience. We are visiting from Toronto and have been to the best restaurants in the city, and we were blown away by the food and service at Mignon. We ordered the asparagus salad which was delicious - a very unique combination of ingredients that I would have never thought to combine but were perfect together in this dish. My husband ordered the filet mignon (medium rare) and I ordered the steak tartare and we shared the fries that came with his meal. The steak was perfectly cooked and both of us agreed it was the best steak we’ve had in a long time, my steak tartare was also one of the best I’ve ever had, and the fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. They were also so accommodating to our baby. They moved the tables around to make room for our stroller and brought our baby complimentary sliced oranges for dessert. We enjoyed our experience so much so that we decided to come back once more before we head back home to Toronto. 10/10

    The food was great, shame about the wine. For what we paid, we should have sent it back. The service was fine but the restaurant only had 8 people in it so kind of expected it to be ok. The Steak was cooked well and the fries were nice and crispy.

    I love mignon on notre dame, never had a bad experience. But it was the first time going to the one old port, we waited almost 2 hours to receive a soup, salad, and some starters. Some other people were served before us. Very disappointed since it is one of my favorite resto.
