    I had the Arroz Chaufa with ribeye. Very tasty - with chicha morada to drink. Reminded me of home (Peru). My partner had the ribeye tacos. He said the avocado and the sauce made the dish very enjoyable. We were celebrating a birthday and splurged on the cheesecake dessert. Excellent.

    Great food , Peruvian really has the authentic flavor. My friend was impressed with the food . Also nice and courteous waiters , they made sure we had everything we needed and was always asking if we needed more water or other drinks . I highly recommend it!!

    Great food had the Ropa vieja and the mangura sushi. I wasn’t able to finish my meal, took a to go plate and finished it for breakfast was awesome as breakfast.

    We had two dishes, one of them was good and the other was underwhelming. The ambience is nice and it shows a lot of thought went into the design in a lot of details like the menu and decor, however the physical temperature was hot and uncomfortable especially for the first 30 minutes. The service since the very beginning was the most disappointing aspect of the visit.

    Had reservations for 7:30, was seated at that time. Sat at our table for 20 minutes before someone decided to ask us if we had been helped. There were 6 waiters in the area who could have helped. Granted it was busy but still, 20 minutes without being spoken to. Empanada appetizer was really great. Food came out maybe 20 minutes after our appetizer. The first waiter we had wrote down my steak temperature as medium like I asked, but steak came back less than medium rare and was very difficult to cut and chew. It was sent back and the difference was night and day when it came back the second time. My order was taken off my tab and we were offered a free dessert for our anniversary. We came to this restaurant with high expectations due to the 4.8 star rating on yelp. We wanted to try something different for our anniversary this year and that was definitely a poor choice. We will probably not be back to Mikhuna.

    Reservation was easy to make online. Servers were polite, gracious, and they knew their food and made good recommendations based on what we wanted. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, according to how we wanted it. Place was packed and hence a little loud, but nothing unpleasant. Every visit is a nice surprise and that’s why we keep coming back!

    Went for a birthday dinner. Food & drinks were good, our server was nice but we barely saw him I’m not sure how many tables he had but it took awhile to get anything we asked for. Also the ceviche barely came with any chips like bottom of the bag looking chips

    It should be called a Peruvian only restaurant. I had the salmon nigiri and it was not good at all. For $6 a piece, I expected it to be at least be good. When I told the waiter he said “yea I never recommend the sushi” So then why have it on the menu if you can’t deliver? 🤔

    Everything was very good was very pleased with everything. The only thing that I kind of didn’t like was how close the other parties are to the mothers I was trying to celebrate my birthday can’t hearing somebody’s first date next to us and the guy was super loud and disturbing, but other than that I had a very nice evening.

    This is now our favorite restaurant in the RGV. The chef does a magical job of blending flavors that is equivalent to a great conductor leading an orchestra. The staff was attentive to our every need. We were very touched and grateful when the chef took the time to come to our table so we could thank him personally and then created a special dessert for my birthday.     First time for us (celebrating my spouse’s birthday) but repeat customers in our party. We went on their recommendation. It was well worth it. Food and service were excellent. Ambiance was ok - it felt a bit like a diner. An awesome mural on the wall, though. A bit pricy, but food and service compensated for it.

    Wow simplemente quede sorprendida de el sabor en la comida desde la entrada, el plato fuerte, las bebidas y el postre! Se convirtió desde mi primer visita en mi top 3, de restaurantes en la ciudad, pedí el ceviche peruano, no recuerdo los nombres de los otros platos pero estuvieron fantásticos después de postre pedí el de almendras, y un carajillo! Quede encantada con el servicio y lo bonito del lugar también!!! Sin ninguna duda lo recomiendo mucho. Gracias! Saludos!

    We wanted to try this restaurant for awhile now as it peaked our interest. In our opinion , we rate this restaurant 3 stars. It didn’t provide much of any bold flavor that stood out. We had the ropa vieja and arroz con mariscos. The ropa vieja just didn’t have any flavorful kick to it. The brisket/pork was tender but abit plain in taste. The arroz con mariscos was our favorite dish but they gave little seafood with the entree, 85% of it was rice (though it was flavorful). We finished with their version of cheesecake which was fine, not too sweet nor extremely creamy. Our main issue was with the service. We got there at 5:30pm on a Thursday. There were only two couples prior to us getting there and they decided to sit us right next to one of them. Our table was a small table only for two and so was the other couple. We seriously could’ve just put both our tables together we were that close, lol. Even they looked at us and the hostess thinking it was a mistake. I understand the sitting arrangement on a busy day at peak hours but didn’t see the thought process on this considering the restaurant was slow at that time and didn’t really pick up even after we left. The next issue was our waiter. He was fine at first but then vanished halfway through. We had to ask the waiter that was assisting the couple next to us with getting us condiments and refills. The music and ambiance was fine though. I do feel it’s a nice restaurant to have a date/friendly catch up meal but when it comes to a special event I’d look into somewhere where the wait staff is more attentive.
