Specializing in aburi, or flamed-seared, sushi, the act of applying flame directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the seafood. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish.

    Miku broke my brain. It was that good. We sat at the bar, and took the sushi roll and nigiri recommendations of Paul, our friendly bartender. Everything was exquisite, especially the mushroom risotto, but honestly, I don’t think you could order something that isn’t delicious. 5 stars. I will be back next time I’m in Vancouver! Wow wow wow.

    Every dishes are very fresh & delicious except the Wagu beef is a little bit disappointing, there was absolutely fat & no meat at all, my stomach can’t agree with too much fat ! And I feel stomach cramps right after the beef ; Otherwise it’s a good meal !

    It's wonderful to experience a restaurant that has everything down to near perfection. Great setting overlooking Canada Place and the harbor, sleek, modern decor with lot's of light. Enthusiastic, positive energy flowing with friendly, smiling and genuinely helpful service (thank you, Maria!!) and a creative menu with beautifully prepared, tasty, intriguing food combinations. Miku lived up to its reputation and then some with our dinner experience and we highly recommend it.

    The waiter was incredibly helpful picking out a lunch option that would suit my dietary needs. The miso soup was delectable, the tea was warm and wonderful (Jasmine) and the sushi was other-worldly. I couldn’t believe the smoothness and freshness of the fish. The manager came to say hello and everyone was welcoming and classy. I highly recommend Miku.

    We were a group of four celebrating a birthday at Miku. The restaurant offered two tasting menus, and we opted to try both—two of us chose one menu, while the other two selected the other. Three members of our party also enjoyed wine pairings with their meals. The presentation of each course was exquisite, and the service was attentive, although we did find ourselves occasionally trying to catch a server’s attention mid-course. Miku refreshes its menu each season, and while last season’s offerings were exceptional, I felt that this season’s selections didn’t quite meet the same standard—though perhaps that’s the nature of a tasting menu. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Next time, I might skip the tasting menu and order dishes that truly appeal to my personal preferences. For feedback, I would suggest including a selection of mocktails with the tasting menu, catering to guests who prefer non-alcoholic options.

    Excellent presentation and taste. The sashimi platter was a work of art and the Aburi style sushi was amazing. Service was top-tier, Andy made great recommendations and took excellent care of us.
