Overall very good!
Everything was great but it was a bit cold where we were sitting, by the window.
Lovely evening spent here. Would have preferred to sit in the main area as the back room where we sat was lacking a bit in ambiance but otherwise the food and service was fantastic!
All good.Just wish they would bring back the calamari!
Always enjoy there sushi.
The desert was awesome!
Services is good but the food was disappointed. The quality of food can’t compare to couple years ago. Not worth the $$.
Outdoor patio ended up being closed for the season but the Miku team was kind, understanding, and accommodating. They opened up the heated patio for us to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was a very sweet lunch for sure! Thank you!!!
Very nice view over the water paired with delicious sushi what more can you ask for
I love everything about Miku! Not only does it have a beautiful view of Coal Harbour, but the staff are exceptional and food is amazing. You will not be disappointed!
The best aburi oishi sushi with a spectacular view.
Wow! I took my hubby here for an afternoon birthday celebration. I've been waiting to visit after hearing from so many friends what a spectacular place this is, we had to go!
We ordered 2 of the Lunch Shokai which has 2 appetizers, but I had to try a few more, so we also ordered the spicy edamame (yummmm) and the ebbi fritters.
Everything was done to perfection. While we've both been avid fans of good sushi and have a few favourite restaurants in our hood, I've never had sushi this perfect. The mix of flavours, the freshness of the fish. Everything...amazing. We will definitely come back again.
I recommend visiting for lunch if it's your first time as there is a good variety offered. Also, we lucked out as it was a stunning fall Vancouver afternoon, and the view was breathtaking.
All in all, I give it 5 stars!
If not for outstanding guest service by Jasmine your host manager and Éva your best server, I might not come back for mediocre food, poorly priced items and average portions.
Perhaps it is the location. But don’t you think all the more you have the chance to showcase the best of freshest seafood to be found in Vancouver? Am afraid your restaurant failed in that aspect. Your other restaurant is much better.
Place was okay. Nothing exciting, service was slow and the waitress took forever. Don’t plan to go back.
Excellent restaurant . Everything was perfect . Good, service and Ambiance .
I have been to Mike before and it was good. This time we went for my boyfriends birthday and decided to get the sashimi, Oshi and some nigiri. The quality was good and for its price it was reasonable. We were, however, expecting a better quality of fish from a place that is rated so high in the city. We have been to smaller more intimate places with much better quality of fish. The fish was good, but not the best we’ve had compared to other places in the city. I think the talk up of Miku is more for the atmosphere and their drinks rather than quality of fish. I personally wouldn’t make this my next choice in the future and would stick to a less hyped up place. I would pay double the price for the quality if they happened to serve it for sure.
Definitely the best meal I have had in my 5 years in Vancouver. The 6-course meal was exceptional. Will be returning for sure!
Our server was great... personable, knowledgeable, and knew when to engage us.
Delicious birthday lunch. Had a variety of dishes to share. Nice hot tea. Cucmber juice was freshly made. The food is fantastic here and so is the staff. Very Covid friendly.
Thee best first experience I have ever had. We celebrated my partners birthday and from the service to the food and atmosphere, they’ve exceeded my expectations above and beyond. Truly exquisite food and outstanding service. I recommend their kaiseki menu to try at least once!
Food was delicious as always! It can be quite pricy but the location is beautiful, ambiance is nice and the food is outstanding! We ordered 2 Premium Sushi Lunch, a salmon oshi sushi and a yuzu mango cheesecake! Everything was delicious. The only complaint is that the service was not great for the price that you’re paying to dine here. Our waiter wasn’t attentive, didn’t make any recommendations, wasn’t personable and we weren’t offered any green tea. We remember the service being outstanding in the past so this was a little disappointing.
Was good as always!
Pricy but worth it. Sushi is the best. Are doing a good job with social distancing.
Excellent as usual! Food and service were top notch.
Excellent tasting menu, would definitely go back, highly recommend.
Everything was Perfect.
It’s always a pleasure to go there
Came here from out of town after reading up on it for my partner's birthday. Absolute the best sushi I have ever had in my entire life topped with phenomenal service. The server even bought her a desert for her birthday. Would recommend this place to everyone.
Too much mayo and stickiness in most sushi. Sashimi was really fresh of high quality though. Prawn Fritters were not nice at all, batter way too thick!
Had a delicious lunch with my family. Food is very fresh, absolutely delicious and the presentation (especially the desserts) rocks!
It’s been a wonderful dinner but bec of the unfortunate current situation, the menu has been change. Overall the staff are friendly, food are freshly delicious and great selection of wine. And our server Allen is wonderful. We’re obviously coming back!
Best sushi I ever had. Would recommend it to anyone
Not the best lunch- we won’t be back. The sushi was okay covered in dairy sauces, not fresh or traditional.
10/10 but very very expensive! The view is amazing the food is fresh and tasty!
Always delicious- best sushi in Vancouver!
Enjoy eat !!
One of the greatest sushi we ever had outside of Japan. Aburi cuisine was an incredible new discovery for us. Amazing service. Needs to add a few classic ingredients somewhere in their menu such as sea urchin and salmon roe. Ambiance and music volume were fine. Great choice of sakes, especillay the Aburi Ginjo (exclusive label)
Expectations were high from my Toronto experience with Miku’s, but unfortunately the Vancouver visit was not on par.
They were running a little behind when we arrived, which is understandable, but we were asked to wait outside next to a homeless man whom was unleashing his anger with the current state of affairs at nearby passers.
A crowd of concerned staff had gathered in the front and were staring at the angry man...why we were asked to stand outside next to him is beyond me. I respect times have changed with Covid and the homeless are people too, but if the staff felt uneasy than surely their guests would. Only after objecting were we accepted back inside for a reservation running late.
The night was more uneventful thereafter, but the service was bland and without personality, and the waiter found it troublesome to elaborate on the variety of sushi and sashimi my date would have liked more information on.
Although, I enjoyed the food, I did not find the experience and the price to be worth the trouble.
We may have arrived at the wrong place and the wrong time with the pandemic, but we took the time out of our schedule for a date at Miku’s and a little hospitality would have been an excellent companion to the meal.
In a word fantastic What really needs to be said that hasn’t been said a million times. There is no doubting that Miku is one of if not the number one sushi restaurant in the city of Vancouver ( sorry Tojo )
Absolutely fantastic food and service, exceeded my already high expectations.
It’s a must do
Delicious food, wonderful service. We’ll be back every time we come back to Vancouver!
The foods really good and the environment is nice
