Milestones Grill + Bar - Barrie
It's the passion in our recipes that makes a visit to Milestones truly unforgettable. Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. We're an impromptu meeting place for friends and a cozy spot for date nights. We're familiar and friendly, but always on the cutting-edge. We're nights to remember and remarkable flavours to savour. That's how we set the table at Milestones. Be part of the story...
Our waitress and hostess were fantastic, food amazing, even music! just great... was a little pricey for my pocket book, yet very much worth the funds... i just can't come often! thank you for having us and being so great! kindly, Lydia Reekie
Meal before watching Barrie Colts hockey
Anyone who delivered food to our table made sure to mention they knew I had an allergy which gave me a lot of confidence since there were several different people who dropped off dishes.
Overall it was nice. Music a little too loud considering the restaurant was pretty much empty.
The menu changed that day. We had a gc given to us . My husband had choices of a few then not in the menu. He had a burger.
He said it was excellent. Our meals were great. I had Mediterranean chicken on kale and chic peas and onions and cherry tomatoes and a sauce. Very nice . Our daughter had fish tacos . Very good. It was my 65 th. Had free cheesecake compliments from Milestones.,
Not impressed with the food - way overpriced for what you get...
The wings were the best I'd eaten in a long time.
Our server was attentive and excellent in all respects.
But the so-called music coming from a corner of the room was much to loud, not at all musical and worst of all, it made conversation between the three of us in the booth extremely difficult. Our attendant got it turned down somewhat, but it still spoiled the atmosphere in what would otherwise have been a great lunch.
Server was great - my daughter had a concern with the fish tacos and the kitchen & server made it work - was a very nice birthday dinner with my hubby my daughter & myself :)
Love my Birthday Desert as well :)
Love Milestone Grill & Bar!
The food was great. Our server was excellent. Took great care of us and didn't rush us away. The noise level in the downstairs section is almost always too loud for comfortable conversation, but my daughter and I sat closer together, so it worked.
Nice ambience, and generally good food, but if you go to Milestones regularly, the menu gets a bit boring.
We sat at 1:05 and didn’t get out food until 1:45. My soup claws barely lukewarm. Our server apologized for thinking she had taken our order (even though our menus sat in front of us) and atoned with a dessert for the three of us to split. It was warmer than my soup.
I’ve always loved the food at milestones but I do think the whole open concept of the dining room makes the restaurant very loud.
Mother’s Day brunch was delicious and fairly priced. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back!
Waited for a long time for food- had taken my mom daughter and baby granddaughter to celebrate mother’s day. Apologized for wait but no visit from manager, no offer for a dessert- should have at least acknowledged that they made us wait so long.
Food and service were perfect. We were celebrating mother’s day and both mothers felt special. Restaurant was noisy but was a happy noise. Would return again and of course recommend to others.
First time dining here the food was amazing so good would recommend to everyone
We took our grandson, who we were looking after while his parents were out of town, for Sunday dinner. We've been to this location a few times and it has always been very good. Sunday's aren't usually busy and this was about normal until a large group arrived celebrating a birthday. They weren't a problem and were running up a huge tab, but took up a lot of staff attention which left us on the short end. Our server was pleasant and apologized several times for the slow service. It was about 20 minutes after we were seated until our order was taken. We had to ask three staff for water before we got any. When it finally arrived, the food was very good. The coconut calamari is excellent but the price seems high for the size of the portion. The kids serving of chocolate milk was only about six ounces. This was not our normal experience in this or any Milestones and we'll go back.
Frequent fliers for the portobello mushroom chicken. Never disappoints!
Food was ok but not quite worth the price
We purchased the $5 coupons and were told we could use as many as we wanted without restrictions.
Little did we know that's not the case. We bought 5 and could only use 2. $15 not taken off our bill meant our bill was more than we expected. Don't get me wrong the cards were a good cause. Just ensure we get the proper information and maybe I would have only purchased 2
It was very busy considering it was the weekend after Valentine’s Day. We opted to have their Valentines special as it was a great deal. Our appetizers were ok. It took an hour for our entree and it seemed fine from the outside but was severely underdone inside. My husband steak was rare after he asked for well done and my salmon was raw in the centre. Shrimp fried rice was lacking in shrimp. When we complained were we told we couldn’t get a discount on the meal because it was a package. They offered a coupon for a free app on the next visit. Not impressed with the service and our server although pleasant was very distressed and looked harried due to other tables having similar issues.
Called ahead to say we’d be arriving and change our reservation. The Resturant was accommodating. We used the CAA discount for a free app and enjoyed a great family dinner to start the weekend away. It appears they marked it as a no show even though we called to modify.
It disappoints me that in a push to get food out of the kitchen no one seems to be tasting it first. I had the Cajun shrimp creole and it was so salty it really spoilt the meal. It’s also disappointing that waiters or waitresses now don’t bother to ask how your meal was, are we not allowed to provide real feedback.
Valentine’s Day dinner
Appetizer was cold, main meal steak was stringy, dessert cheesecake was frozen
It was loud and we were seated next to the kitchen with many open tables available. It was empty most of our time there and that was the best they could do.
We were giving Milestones a second chance after a particularly bad customer service experience and the exceeded our expectations. Our server was excellent. He was very attentive but didn't over so it. We ordered a couple of starters which were excellently prepared and each of us ordered a main course. Again they exceeded our expectations. Great job Milestones.
We always enjoy our dinner out at Milestones. Food and service good. Rob is our absolute favourite server ( was not working this visit) My only criticism is stop using the gross yellow ( almost bad) lettuce in your Caesar salad .
The crispy Asian bites usually have a batter on them. This was served with just cut up chicken.
We informed server and he sent over manager, who just gave us a free app. Overall good flavour but not what is usually served.
This is a great restaurant but much louder than that the lower level was opened up.
Awesome food great service
Was ok...I find the food portions a bit small.... I ate supper again after I returned home.
Dinner was great - my Steak Frites was excellent but I wouldn't have the deep fried onions and there was too much Parmesean cheese on the fries. Other than that, everyone else's meals were perfect and the appetizers and dessert was fantastic!!
room temperature was very uncomforatable ho, not sure if it is because the night was warmer. Also when you are waiting for a table their is minimal room to either stand or sit
There's nowhere to hang your coat and no room in the booths to place them. Pretty silly for Canada in the winter. Also, while the steak was very good the "selection of vegetables" amounted to a few dried out and very overcooked green beans with a single, almost invisible, slice of onion. Not great. However, the service was good and friendly so that's a major plus. And, the big disappointment: Milestones no longer serves Prime Rib. All in all, definitely not as good as it once was and there are now a few other local venues with better food and facilities at this price point.
My steak was not cooked the way I had asked. Neither was the couple that sat beside us.
Good time New Year’s Eve , food was good , our served was busy and absent a lot but understandable
Made a reservation for 2 yet were seated in an awkward round table/booth while there were a few booths empty. Server was fine. Had steak and frites. Steak a bit chewy, onion straws were cold but fries were hot and good. Leave the gravy off the steak. Not good. Husband had a burger and fries which were fine.
While we have always liked Milestones for special occasions we were hoping the Brunch items would knock our socks off - it was underwhelming - while not terrible - it seemed a little too basic for what we expected (have always enjoyed the dinner menu). as a particular example, on paper the Prime Rib hash sounded great - came out cool in the middle and the flavour of the "marinade" completely over powered the dish - could not taste the prime rib or even the Hollandaise!.....we'll be back for dinner but unique Brunch offerings can be found elsewhere.....
First time eating at Milestones. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the meal and the fantastic staff! They got us out the door in time to see our show. Thank you Milestones!
