Milestones Grill + Bar - Coquitlam
It's the passion in our recipes that makes a visit to Milestones truly unforgettable. Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. We're an impromptu meeting place for friends and a cozy spot for date nights. We're familiar and friendly, but always on the cutting-edge. We're nights to remember and remarkable flavours to savour. That's how we set the table at Milestones. Be part of the story...
It was a very enjoyable evening. Food was good. Service was good. We were seated quite promptly and were given a table in our requested part of the restaurant.
My birthday but you would have know it,our waitress was fine at first but seemed to be a bit behind schedule in refilling our drinks. Even though it was mentioned that I was celebrating a birthday no sincere effort was put towards that. Perhaps Milestones doesn’t go down the complimentary birthday cake or drink route, I don’t know it was strange. My trip to the ladies room had me rocked by the fact that toilet was unhinged from its screws. My husband was left high and dry for his second drink as well.
I love to order drinks, the Mediterranean goat cheese platter and spinach and artichoke dip. The chips and dip were done however the goat cheese platter was very cold. The bread tasted old and cold, the garlic was good, and we didn’t really receive as much ham as usual. I was disappointed with the quality of this appetizer during this visit.
Food was good. But it took 15 minutes to order and 1 hour to get our food.
We thought a booth would give us a quiet setting ,but had a loud large birthday table beside us.
All else great
Date night fun with. Good food and drinks
Good customer service
Reserved a table for my family (8 people) for brunch on Family Day! We got seated right away and food was amazing. I ordered the Prime Rib Hash. Definitely recommend it.
We had a great time at Milestones in Coquitlam. Food was delicious . Server was awesome. The table and the floor were a bit dirty though. We are definitely coming back soon.
We had a bit of a wait for our reservation, but once sat we got quick service! The noice level was great as we actually were able to have a great converstion and hear everyone in our party of 6. All 6 of our meals were delicious and enjoyed by all!
The server was friendly and the food was great. However, we were a party of 13 people and we were there for 3.5 hours. We were not in a rush what so ever and enjoyed our time. However, waiting 30 min for a drink and 40 min for a spinach dip is a bit to long and some of us were getting annoyed.
I am a HUGE fan of the Butternut Squash ravioli, but sadly last night it was burnt (the pasta was actually charred and hard) and cold.. strange combo I know but sadly it was not up to the delicious standard it normally is. Otherwise the night would have been 5 ⭐️ across the board! Thank you for the complimentary Bday cheese cake though, it was delicious😋
My $35.00 Surf & Turf was very disappointing, way over priced for what I received. Will not go back
Always happy Milestones... ordered Ahi Tuna from the Superfood menu and again it was so good. Wish they could make that menu permanent.
Everything was very tasty. The servers were very friendly. The only negative is that the appetizers portions seem to be very small for the price you pay. The regular meal portions were good. Thank you for a nice evening.
Great. Our server Meghan was very prompt and professional. I noted her knack to maintain eye contact as she explained things. Excellent experience. The hostess station (greeters) could be fine tuned. Too many bodies milling about with minimal results in movement of guest.
It was really good, the food, the service. We both enjoyed our lunch. We will for sure come back again.
Upon make a reservation I requested 2 tables as we were celebrating a birthday. Once I arrived they acknowledged my request however upon seating us we were all seated together. I asked the server to move us to move us adults to another table and they easily did but did not communicate this to our server so she was not aware that there were to tables under one bill. Minor it all worked out but s little communication needs to be tweaked between staff to ensure better customer service.
I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks and both times the food came out barely warm and seemed to have been sitting for a while prior to being served to us, as it was quite dry. The food took a very long time to get to us and when it did, both times someone I was with had to send their food back. Our waitress was nice to begin with, but gradually stopped coming by over the course of the night and seemed to have pawned us off to other servers. The food and service quality seems to have gone down, I used to really enjoy coming here.
Attentive service. Food was very good.
The good was good but nothing special. Had a lovely time visiting our friends. The atmosphere was perfect for the visit.
Ordered flatbread brucheta and Asian Chicken bites for starters which were both amazing. However my main, Spicy Thai Basil Noodles, was one of the most awful dishes I have ever eaten at a restaurant. I was there with my family, and my mother also ordered the same dish and was extremely disappointed. It was coated in sauce, which would have been okay if it wasn't for the taste - it was honestly just a a giant brown bowl of mush. Thankfully there was chicken and shrimp in the bowl which I picked out for my dinner. I can't say enough terrible things about this dish, it was really that bad. I would suggest making it either more authentic Asian and focus more on the spices/sauce, or just take it off the menu. However, my husband got the burger which he really enjoyed, the ambiance was enjoyable and service was great. Honestly the experience itself was great minus the main entree.
Was there on a Thursday and food and waitress were great however hostess was a bit condescending to me a and my husband and later to our guests on their arrival 5 mins later.
Just such a disappointment. The place wasn’t that busy. And there was only three people at our table but It was a MASSIVE effort to get anything from our server. I dropped a napkin and asked for another one and asked again and again and it never materialized. No matter what we asked for, like “can I get a glass of water please”- these request took a crazy amount of time, extra request and reminders to actually come to fruition. Eventually we just gave up and after waiting a half hour for our bill (we had requested it twice from the server) we just paid and left. It was painful dealing with her..unless you have a few spare hours- done go to this milestones.
Our waitress was very informative and helped us pick the perfect meal.
Disappointed. I reserved a table for six for my husband’s birthday. There were 4 adult and two children. My husband had the seafood pasta. The only seafood he could find was 3 shrimp. Hardly seafood for that price. My granddaughter ordered a grill cheese sandwich with fries. When her meal arrived it wasn’t grilled, one side looked as if it was just toasted lightly. The cheese was hard and the fries were cold. Needless to say she wouldn’t eat it. Our meal took 45 minutes before it arrived. I ordered a glass of wine and didn’t get it until I had to flag another server to remind our server she hadn’t delivered the glass of wine to the table.
Went for dinner Friday January 26 7:30pm. We had a reservation for 7:30 and arrived 7:35. Hostess rudely said we have to wait 10 minutes. We asked why she said we were late and there were other reservations ahead of us. We went to the washroom for 5 minutes asked if our table was ready she said we didn’t check in with her. 5 minutes is rather harsh also they had my phone number could have called they even called that afternoon to confirm we were coming I said yes. Everything else was fine but they young hostess with long brown hair was very rude, the other hostess who seated us was fine. I hope you talk to the hostess and maybe adjust your reservation rules. Every other restaurant I’ve been to will hold reservations for 10 minutes. Everything else was ok.
Booked a table for 14. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived a few mins early but they took us in quickly. The server was outstanding considering there were 14 of us and some quite demanding. Appies and good were great. Thanks for a great night out to celebrate with work friends.
the food is always good at Milestones however the place was not that busy and the service was slow. The meal portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller every time we good, but again the food is very good. I like that they do a superfood and go with the trend is customers are trying to be healthy
Our first visit--we were pleased with variety on menu, décor, noise level, and attitude of staff.
Will go again!
You forgot to add friendly and accommodating staff/service. Good staff are one of the biggest assets to repeat business and recommendations! All part of dining of any dining experience.
Nice atmosphere and great service (our server was excellent) but sadly the food was mediocre - refunded us for one meal.
Not many customers
But too late food.
....... too long .
Everything was good and smooth
I used to love Milestones and went for my birthday this year for our family dinner so I could enjoy a favorite meal. I discovered after ordering it that the recipe had changed and it wasn't the same anymore. I get that things change, it was just disappointing. The service was friendly and apologetic but not up to standard. Wrong items were brought and some items we had to wait quite awhile for (brought teapots but waited 10 minutes for the mugs to drink it out of). My mother had an odd piece of something in her dessert that didn't belong there. Turned out it was probably cross contamination from another dessert, but ew. I wouldn't avoid the restaurant by any means, but it wasn't the same Milestones I remember. Hoping it was a one off and not a common occurrence.
Food as such was acceptable to good.
Unfortunately, the main course arrived within 2 minutes of the server brining the salad and I had to tell the server that I do not care to eat the starter and main course simultaneously.
The server took the main course back to keep it warm, but that did not help the quality of the prime rib main course when it was brought back 10 minutes later.
At that time the horse radish was missing.
All small, but annnoying, little mistakes that could have been easily avoided with more attentive service.
Reserved a week in advance and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table, despite the restaurant being only about 1/3 full with zero wait (arrived 4:45p).
Food is mostly great here - on many occassions, they run out of Prime Rib, so if you want that, arrive earlier. Prime Rib here is excellent.
Good value - our bill for a Party of 9 was less than we paid for 5 at the Keg.
All appetizers (Shrimp, Chicken, Spinich Dip, Cauliflower) were great as were many of Mains. Chicken Parmeson looked great.
On noticable failure - two of our party ordered Sirloin and both steaks were way overcooked and gristly. We took them home and fed them to the dog.
My steak is raw, I did not get my medium rare right. And manager do nothing about it but less 50% off my own meal.
Poor service. Not coming back.
We went on Christmas Eve and they were really busy. So busy in fact, that we waited at least 25 minutes before someone would take our order. Each time we needed our waiter was a long tedious Where’s Waldo game.
The portions were a bit on the smaller end but overall the taste was good. Not sure we will return especially when it’s busy.
