Milestones Grill + Bar - Crossroads Ratings and Reviews
Good atmosphere, good food, consistent quality.
We dropped in for a quick lunch and were very pleased.
Our waiter service was outstanding and food very good. Bit crowded in restaurant and parking challenging but overall a good place for a family group to celebrate a birthday. Really like that they provide Gluten free options on the children’s menu. The food at Milestones is consistently good. This was our first visit to this location.
Good food and great wait staff. Recommended for lunch or after dinner drinks if you’re in the neighbourhood.
Long wait for food to arrive and Food came out borderline cold. Service wasn’t great either
Great food, not very crowded, did not wait long for food. Beautiful views.
The food at Milestones was outstanding as usual.
However, we did have a small problem getting our order on a timely basis.
There was another large party ahead of us resulting in a 30 minute wait
before we received our dinner.
Very happy with the meal.
My wife and I took the grandkids for dinner...younger one was celebrating his 12th birthday. We availed ourselves of the BCAA menu which provided 2 bonus appetizers...Asian chicken bites and chicken wings. Kids loved both.
Our 4 entrees, Portobello Chicken and Steak Frites were VG. Only downer was that the restaurant didn't have the wine my wife ordered.
Overall, everybody enjoyed our dinner at Milestones, as we usually do...very good casual restaurant
The booth style tables weren't as good as the one with chairs plus booths. Too hard for the person sitting inside to come out to go to washroom, etc.
Excellent service. Excellent food! Our server was so friendly and efficient. She gave outstanding service.
Overall we feel good and comfortable, the one thing can do better is speed up the service, the restaurant wasn't full at the time we were there
Early dinner before a movie. Good menu with lots of options. Attentive service.
Bellinis on the Happy Hour menu are great
We enjoy eating at Milestones as the food is always good. However we will never go on Saturday night in the future cause they have a DJ who plays drums along with the music and it was hard to have a conversation at the table.
We were there for a birthday which was indicated in our reservation. There was no mention of this special occasion the entire time we were there (very unusual for a restaurant). A few things were forgotten with our order. The menu is not vegan friendly at all which is tough because we always have a vegan in our group. The lighting was very bright until 9:30-10pm which was also unusual for this type of restaurant.
On a positive note the girls night deal is incredible and the kids menu is awesome.
Staff was warm & friendly, food was excellent. We didn't feel rushed.
Serving size was nice and big for all the meals we ordered -- great value, great taste! Servers also had great sense of humor and was pleasant to deal with.
Great food with very friendly service. Nice view & DJ playing music on Wednesday night. Perfect for mid-week break!
Menu very uninspired and food bland and not very tasty. We ordered a variety of dishes and all had the same opinion. Will not be returning.
Service was poor, the garlic Caesar salad did not have garlic, and the staff were the ones making the most noise beside the in house DJ
Although this is not our first time at this location, it seems the turnover of service staff seems to be high. That's creating what seems like an inexperienced wait staff. Initially the service was very prompt and professional, but has the restaurant got busier we found it difficult to get our waiter's attention. And to obtain the bill and payment took and unfortunate amount of time.
Had a great night for BC Cancer fundraiser. Great waitstaff / Darrel/
Super DJ / very attentive manager
Great at his job
Well priced date night and food was good
Happy hour wine prices suited too!
Food was cold and I didn't get what I had ordered (sausage instead of bacon). The drink I ordered I asked to substitute lime with lemon but was assured I'd like the lime. I didn't. The waiter wasn't attentive. A very mediocre dining experience.
Went for my Birthday, but no celebration was offered. Was very disappointed and so was my wife.
The waiter was very attentive and experienced. The food was good. There was a problem with using my SCENE card but the manager straightened it out to our satisfaction.
Our server was fantastic. Great kids menu (better than the adult menu). I ordered the Thai noodle bowl and it was surprisingly bland. There's basically no vegan food on the menu which is shocking and disappointing.
Well, the restaurant called me less than an hour before my reservation (for a business lunch) to tell me the restaurant was closed (without further explanation) and that they would call me back if it was open again in time for my reservation (didn't receive a call back). Luckily they were able to accommodate a short notice reservation down the street at Cactus Club. I'm assuming there was some sort of emergency but the way they handled it was rather bizarre.
I am very disappointed that I am getting this request to provide feedback. I had made a reservation a week earlier for 12:15pm. My CEO and CFO were in town from Toronto. At noon I get a call from someone who says that there was a maintenance issue and they thought the restaurant would open but it's not going to. I had to scramble at the last minute with my guests to try and find another place.
Food was very good and we did get what we asked for however delay n getting our food, then it went to another table and also getting dessert and coffee. We had a server change mid meal so that may have contributed. I had requested a sparkler or something be placed in a dessert for my daughter and this did arrive as requested.
The view is terrific, food is great now if they can just get their serving issues straightened out it will be very good!
Excellent wine suggested by my server - a pink zinfendel - excellent food - my husband & i are small eaters and shared an entree and an appetizer. My server suggested the portion for my entree be split - always wonderful to have that done for you. We will definitely be back for date night!!
Nice casual place to have lunch.
The food was pretty good. I we had fish tacos and sliders. The Belinis were delicious. Our waiter was very good - quite funny without being too much. You have to pay for parking though which I don't have to do if I go to the one closer to home at Park Royal - I just don't like paying for parking but that's how it is downtown. It's not a deal breaker.
Excellent food, attentive pleasant service.
Overall experience was good. However that was because we were helped by two servers. We were seated in the dining area and we asked about happy hour drinks. We ordered our drinks and then asked about a happy hour food menu and was told that there was none at the moment, that one was in the works of being created. My friend believe she saw a sign outside of the entrance of 50% off appetizers during happy hour. A moment later another server came by to check in on us and he informed us that it was only offered at the bar and asked if we would like to move. We then requested to move to the bar. Right before we were about to move, our first server asked if we were ok. When we told her we were moving she then walked away as if dismissing us. We were then told that we could remain seated in our booth seats which we appreciated. The food was better than I expected. We had the calamari which was very tender but also crispy with the toasted coconut. The spinach dip was warm and came with enough chips. If it wasn't for the hiccup in the beginning, the entire experience would have exceeded my expectations. I'm just unsure why the first server didn't inform us of the happy hour restrictions, especially when we asked.
My prime rib was so so but the anchovies dip was very delicious! Service was alright, no complains.
We usually sit on the patio but as it was February, we were inside. However, we were in a dark corner. The food was good.
We should have left when the garlic bread starter was kind of soggy. Then I ordered a lettuce wrap. I've never had wilted lettuce before. Neither at home or a restaurant. The whole idea of a wrap requires crisp lettuce.
The wrap was to be served with crab and shrimp. However, I just found it tasteless mush. Very disappointing.
Do you have new ownership or a new chef. I used to go to your restaurants on Robson and Beach and Denman.
I came here with my daughter and wife and we had excellent service.
It was exciting to see the DJ perform in the bar area with all the lights.
Highly recommend to my friends and family.
It was my Birthday dinner and the server we had was really really great! I never met the server like him. He was always walking around to see if customer need something or checking if everything is ok. Also he was really kind to us! We really enjoyed our dinner!
Brunch is great here! We waited 20 minutes and no waiter came to greet us. We had to ask our Hostess whether we were assigned a waiter to serve us. When we finally got to put in our orders, we didn't receive our drinks for another 10 minutes and our meal half an hour later. Given we have to pay for parking due to the location, we had to run down to add more time because we got our meal after our one-hour meter was up. Less to say, we will not be returning to this Milestone location again.
Milestones is my go to place for good food, usually good service (in this case once the food was left at our table, servers never came to ask how the food was), not did they come back to offer more refreshments. Service was sorta disappointing. Food was good as usual.
I arrived with my husband and son promptly at 1:30 and we we were seated immediately-no issues there. Our server (male, beard, blue shirt-looking for my receipt to provide his name) took our drink orders and brought us our beverages. He then asked us if we had any questions about the menu and when we asked him a question he indicated that the breakfast items were at the back, that he would give us a few more minutes and then promptly left. He didn't answer our question and he was rushing us. When he came back to take our order he continued to rush us and cut my husband off while he was still speaking/ordering. We then waited for our meal but before it arrived we finished our beverages and waited for our server to offer us refills. He never walked by us at all to check on us and our meals were brought by other servers so we asked someone else for refills. The other server must have told our server that we were wanting refills because he brought them but then so did the other server! As for the meal itself my eggs benedict and my husband's eggs were both soft even though we ordered them medium. Our server came back to our table and tried removing plates from our table without asking if we were done. And even though my husband told him he would let him know when we were done, he came back a second time and attempted to clear more plates off our table. We then had to wait for him to bring us our bill because he was chatting with another party who had already paid. The restaurant was not full and I didn't see any reason why we would be so neglected in the beginning of our visit and then practically smothered towards the end. Our bill came to around $65-70 so not a cheap meal by any means but certainly not worth it when considering the poor service and treatment we received. We have been to this location many times and haven't had any issues. It's disappointing as I really enjoy Milestone's brunch and I don't get to go very often to enjoy it.
