Besides the excellent food and our VERY helpful and knowledgeable server, it wasn’t so noisy that we could not carry on a conversation at our table. I am a ‘young’ senior and am finding I can’t/won’t go to so many restaurants now as I just can’t hear the people I’m with. I have also been told that I don’t need hearing aids either. So I thank you for a most enjoyable evening!!!

My date and I came for the chef's tasting menu and enjoyed every bite! The staff were great at being attentive to our requests, sharing information about the dishes and timely with the courses. Would definitely recommend for date night!

What a great place! We had a 3 course dinner with the sushi to start (absolutely delicious), Wagyu for main (small portion but very tasty) and taro ice cream for dessert (yum!) On top of that part of our 3 course meal included wine pairings with each course and they paired very well. We got this deal on Travelzoo. Server was attentive. Music was wonderful. Decor was really amazing. My husband even made many comments about how everything was well thought out. It was quiet due to it being a Monday night but I can imagine that on weekends, it is full! If you are looking for gourmet dishes that are super tasty and aren't overly hungry, great ambiance and lovely service then do not hesitate! I 100% recommend!

We came for lunch and had a great time. Ordered sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki lunch set, and the chicken lunch set. Food was great. The sashimi at $33 for 9 pcs was not the best value though.

I went her for my birthday dinner and it was very yummy and filling. My table of four all bought one entree and then sushi on the side. The sushi was amazing and all the food melted in our mouths! The ambience is nice, it’s a more business scene not too loud and the music isn’t blaring like at Dasha for example. If you want more of a fun vibe with friends would go to Dasha (another Japanese restaurant). If you are okay with a nice chill vibe with nice ambience lighting for either a dinner date or a just a nice time with family I would recommend Minami. The staff were super sweet and patient. I wouldn’t say kid friendly either but amazing for mature individuals.

The miso cod was very nice. I didnt really like the sushi as i dont like the meat minced. But overall we had a wonderful evening.

The sablefish was cooked perfectly, as were the broccolini and mushrooms. The short ribs were on the dry side; would not order again. Ebi Oshi and Chocolate cake were under-whelming.

We booked for a special event well in advance but that was not acknowledged and in fact we were given a bar area table Which is not we booked. After we pointed it out- the manager came to talk to us and said they made a mistake- however no non verbal compensation was offered. The food was good but we didn’t enjoy the full experience as we hoped. Fair treatment in hospitality is that much more important.

We do not guarantee specific seatings in the dining room over the lounge in our reservation system and having looked through the records we had a few guests with the date night tag but no birthday, anniversary or special occasion in the lounge. Our team is able to make note of seating preferences of the guest at the time of booking or confirmation, however many of our guests prefer or ask for the lounge so we don't make assumptions without additional information provided by the guest. As a birthday gift, I brought a family member here for dinner. I’m so glad I did! We did the chef’s tasting menu, and each course was absolutely delicious. The service was seamless, and the space was gorgeous. I want to go back to try some of the sushi from the regular dinner menu - everything looked amazing. Would highly recommend!

Had an awesome time at Minami! Went at 10:30 for a date and tried a bit of everything. The Salmon Oshi and Ebi Oshi were top-notch, and the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls were a hit, especially for someone trying raw sushi for the first time. The Avocado Roll was a nice breather, and the Gyoza sealed the deal, and dont forget the dessert, the Japanese Tart was mind blowing. Great service, great food—definitely recommend!

My wife and I had an awesome first time experience at Minami. The food was amazing. Our server Stephanie was outstanding. The lady at the front (Joanne I think) was also great! She seated us right away. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes sushi. The soft crab was Aldo amazing. We ordered 2 of those.

Excellent modern Japanese cuisine. The sukiyaki hotpot (and accompanying side dishes) was a highlight. Only detraction was the lemon and sage gin and tonic, which tasted like cold NeoCitran. Avoid that, if humanly possible.
