   The winterlicious menu was a fantastic way to experience the chef’s range in utilizing a wide variety of ingredients. The sushi selection was fantastic, fish perfectly tempered and buttery, and the cocktails were well balanced and delicious.

   Fabulous restaurant!!!! Food was outstanding - I’ve only ever had sushi this good in Japan. Main portions were small, as expected, but each dish was perfectly executed for an incredible experience with each bite. 5 stars all the way!!!

    I am very disappointed with the food and the service I had today. I was treating my sister to what I thought was going to be a special meal but instead it was just embarrassing. The food at Minami was not any better than the usual middle of the road Japanese restaurant and the service was even worse. The server knew that it was for a birthday and she didn’t even offer a dessert menu instead I had to call her over and press for info on the desserts. Really? I regretted taking my sister all the way downtown for this mediocre food and service. What happened Minami?! I am so disappointed!

    I LOVE everything about this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is top notch. Everyone knows the menu inside and out and are always on top of helping their Customers. I feel special and taken care of when I visit Minami.

    Minami was great. Such a great atmostphere and great food. We loved it! The Minami rolls and charred brocollini were highlights, skip the beef pot roast, go for the sashimi!

    Highly recommend Crudo style sashimi (shrimp with truffle sauce was out of this world, yellowtail, bluefin tuna and the salmon sauce was mouthwatering) Obviously all the fish in Premium nigiri set and Uni tasted amazingly. Vague skewers were so tasty and were melting in our mouth. Too bad we didn't take photo of it. Desserts were out of this world too (cheese tart is not overly sweet, and Coconut banana pie is a piece of art) Vague carpaccio was amazing too! Everything was great. Our server was knowledgeable and nice to chat with.

    I have been a big fan of Miku Toronto and wanted to check Miku's sister restaurant. Some of the menu had signature dishes like aburi, but I loved that Minami's meenu were creative and unique, emphasis on Wagyu dishes. Dishes were amazing and Wagyu sizzling dish was very interesting experience. Dessert was perfectly created to finish the dining experience. Next time I will definitely try some original cocktails as well. Two things that I wished: I wished the host offered coat check prior to seating since most of the winter jackets are bulky. I wished the two Prime set we ordered were served in individual dishes, not all in one plate.

    The tasting menu is highly recommended for it’s good value, quality food with lots of umami, and wonderful presentation. We are impressed with every dish. The staff is friendly. A very nice restaurant for date night before shows and concerts.

    Great ambiance, excellent food and outstanding service. The portions were a bit small for the price but I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any one who even remotely likes Japanese food and sushi. Would visit again.

    The food is AMAZING and for a reasonable price. Their dessert is good too. The service was also very attentive. And the ambiance is so beautiful. We went on a Sunday night and got a semi circle booth which was so cute and it was also relatively quiet.

    We dined with a group that has done dietary restrictions but our waitress Chloe was superb in working with the hitches to ensure we were accommodated. The vegan platter was superb as was aburi chicken whhh I ch was very soft and flavourful. The oshi dishes we tried (salmon and tuna) were moist, delicately flavoured and really delicious. We enjoyed every aspect of our dining - the service , food and atmosphere.

    First time to try this restaurant. We tried the gozen lunch set and and i love every bite of it. Our server was so nice and was able to answer our questions. I love the place. Will definitely return to try other dish on the menu. Decent price for food and cocktails too.

    We had tickets to the Mirvish theatre across the street. The restaurant is very close to the theatre.The service and atmosphere were excellent. Every dish was delicious but the portions were quite small and the bill was quite high. I found the menu a little confusing...I think pictures would have helped.

    I believe the reason this place has as high rating as it does is because of out of town guests who might not have a high enough reference point to compare it too. BUT, it's really a glorified sushi place, akin to those run-of-the-meal ones you have an abundance of in this city. Not high enough standard for a Japanese-owned, self-respecting, authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant. Service is slow, food is average at best, warm sake served in a glass jug. The kind of place you visit twice, the first time and the last time.

    I have been to Minami twice. Both times were an absolute delight. The staff, the food, the atmosphere is the best. I travel one hour to eat at Minami. It is well worth the trip.

    I chose the restaurant becuase it of its location, and had no idea just what a treat I was in for. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is delectable, it was some of the best service I've ever had, it was clean, it was comfy, etc. I will definitely be returning. There was some adventerous options (I had a dessert with blue cheese on top) and I suggest that you venture from you comfort zone. These chef's know what they are doing.
