From the minute we arrived it was just the most fantastic experience. Our server Samantha went out of her way to insure we fully understood the menu.
We were all blown away by the quality and flavours of each of the dishes. I would highly recommend Mira to anyone looking for a high quality dinner in a beautiful setting. Thank you to all of your staff.
Love this restaurant!! This is our 5th time here, and we wanted to spend our 10th anniversary here. Thank you for a great evening
Excellent service and creativity with food. They were flexible to my food allergies and made it a memorable birthday!
Amazing food, the best in T.O !
Already recommended this place to a few people.
We’ve eaten at Mira many times but found the food was not up to par this time
I came here on a date with my fiancé and had a wonderful time. We ordered 5 dishes: mango ceviche, beef short rib, mushroom rice, Cornish game hen, and “Amor con Cocoa” for dessert. All 5 dishes were phenomenal!
The ceviche was sweet, zesty and even had a spicy kick to it. The beef short rib was very good, though stood out the least from the other dishes. The mushroom & truffle rice actually caught us both off guard with how good the combination of fried rice, hearty mushrooms, crunchy toppings and overall richness was throughout the dish. The Cornish game hen had a multitude of flavours and textures that also delighted the senses and rounded off our savoury dishes quite nicely.
Last but certainly not least, “Amor con Cocoa” was the dessert option we chose to share and boy were we ever satisfied with our choice. The essence of chocolate was showcased masterfully in a handful of different ways, ranging from rich & creamy to sweet and crunchy. And that’s coming from someone who “isn’t a big dessert person”, so I’d highly recommend our choice.
All-in-all we ate delicious food, conversed amid good music and were waited on attentively, but not overbearingly. They even called me minutes after we departed because I had forgotten my bag under our table and returned it to me promptly.
As a foodie and someone appreciative of good service, I implore you to give Mira a try if you haven’t already. It’s going to cost you more than a burrito at Chipotle, but you get what you pay for and a whole lot more.
10/10 will be coming here again.
Will definitely be back to try more items and reorder some of the other items we tried.
Our waiter was exceptional - sorry I didn’t catch his name! His recommendations met all our expectations and more!
I will say though, the entrance of Mira is a bit confusing/unwelcoming.
I found the experience over priced. The food was super tasty but expensive, the service staff seemed young and inexperienced and the restaurant smelled musty at the entrance.
Best service ever! Luis ? He was awesome and super engaging when speaking to the food. We had the Yucca fries, short rib dish and beet salad.
I must say value on the beet salad was quote poor. $16 for pea shoots, some pepitas and 1 beet quartered felt silly and compared to the pricing of everything else.
Cocktails were delicious!
Great space, great vibe, great music, very good food, very good service. The apps were more interesting than the mains, though everything was cooked and seasoned on point. Service was very good overall, but we waited with empty glasses on a few occasions and we had to wait an inordinately long time for bar drinks to actually arrive. Otherwise, the space is very cool as are the retro 80s/90s tunes that delivered us back to our youth.
It was awesome. Everything was delicious. Very accommodating with some food aversions. And dessert so yummy!!
Hostess has a bit of an attitude and server is friendly but forgot a couple of our dishes; the food is outstanding.
Was not expecting anything in particular. Had seen good reviews and decided to go for it. Peruvian? Yeah why not, for a change?
It seriously was one of my top restaurant experience.
Now, we went for the pricey degustation menu so we needed up with superb food for a pretty hefty check.
I assume the quality is equally good for the à la carte option and one may not have to go crazy on price to still have an enjoyable and memorable evening.
The setting is great, combination of bar seating, high chairs long central table or more intimate individual tables.
I guess everyone would find their fit.
Waiters super nice and effective.
Wow - when am I back in town to come back?!?!
Some of the best food we have had. We took the Mira experience option so that we know what we will order next time. Great drink selection that accompany their dishes nicely. Loved it.
Great atmosphere, food, and music
The food was truly disappointing. I can't believe they try to pass that as Peruvian food. I ordered the anticuchos. They taste nothing like the real thing. The fish in the ceviche was obviously frozen. The ceviche juice and the fish never really mixed. They seem as a divorce couple forced to seat seat together.
And the pisco sour that should taste like a lemonade with and after punch. Instead taste somehow bitter due to the bad pisco they used I guess.
If you don't go to this restaurant expecting Peruvian food or something close to it you will be OK.
It took us a few minutes to find it, and to figure out where the door was, but once we made it inside it was fabulous! Food was all truly special, especially the cerdo - wow!
Amazing food and fantastic service sitting at the bar.
My wife and I absolutely love the food here and it’s a great atmosphere. In particular I’d recommend the tostada morado, the nikkei chuleton and the costillas, but everything we’ve tried has been excellent. Make sure to get a big variety and try as much as you can!
I booked for two people a week in advance to celebrate a birthday, I wrote it in the notes, the only downside is that they didn't read the note. Other than that everything else was excellent from the moment we walked in to walking out. We really enjoyed the experience, the waitress's recommendation for desserts was fantastic and he was very helpful.
Enjoyed a beautiful dinner here on a Wednesday evening, after booking a table a couple of hours earlier.
The octopus was delicious, as were the suckling pig and Cornish hen main courses. Star of the show was the deconstructed Peruvian chocolate dessert, which is worth going for by itself.
Drinks were a little overpriced but as with the food, very tasty.
We had excellent table service from a knowledgeable server and thoroughly recommend Mira.
Every dish was expertly prepared and presented. The service was friendly and professional, a nice combo. Not cheap eats, but you won’t be disappointed.
Bartender was very attentive and enhanced overall experience. Food was very good and we have eaten at many Peruvian restaurants in the US and in Peru.
Definitely recommend for dates and for group get togethers.
Neighbourhood gem! Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!
Great food! Great drinks! Great service! Great music selection playing! All around great night!!!
Thanks Mira. You guys have it all together!
it was a little bit too loud but apparently on fridays
Really loud music. Good, expensive food. But small portions. You’ll leave hungry!
Food was delicious and service was excellent! Highly recommended!
This kept being my favourite place. We dined here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Everyone who had been here the first time was impressed with the food. I only hope we have more restaurants like this.
Wow, what a meal. From start to finish, everything was delicious! Definitely will be returning many times. My favourite was the Tostada Morada appetizer!
Music volume may was a bit high. But the experience was really great
We shared several small plates during our recent visit to Mira. We especially enjoyed the ceviche and the pork shoulder. On the night we visited, they seemed to be having a little trouble getting dishes to the tables, but the server did her best to keep us informed on the progress. Compared to the other dishes, the desserts are huge! We would definitely return to sample other offerings.
The food was out of this world! Each dish seemed better than the last. I would spring for a tasting menu the next time as it would be so worth it! Not one thing was average that our table of ten ordered. Don’t miss the Pisco!
This restaurant is tucked away in an alleyway but what a hidden gem. The ambiance, décor, food and service are all excellent. The pisco sour was delicious and it made for a great night out.
Made us wait by dj table in between all the traffic of waiters after arriving on time for our reservation. With waiters always asking us to move because we are in the way. Felt awkward because we were the only ones standing. Offered us complimentary prosecco but that's after 10 mins standing by the bar realizing Noone has attended to us. Not really acceptable.
Great food. Amazing tastes
This is an incredible dining experience. The food is immaculately prepared and incredibly flavourful.
Although I was sure that by doing reservation upfront I will not be seating at the bar (table for two was reserved) it was actually more entertaining at the bar!
Food is great. The best pisco sour in the city.
Food was excellent! The flavours were amazing and the atmosphere was vibrant.
This is the second time I've been here and yet again everything was awesome. The service was excellent and the food was imaginative, well presented and tasted superb.
