Pretty underwhelming experience here. The location and views are awesome. The ambiance and decor is classy and nice as well. Server was nice and friendly as well. But unfortunately we were here for a nice dinner. The ceviche with plantain chips was decent, although not a whole lot going on and was pretty small (have had ceviche/tuna tartare/poke type dishes with my wife all over the place and this would rank in the bottom half). The green papaya salad was pretty good, probably my favorite from our lineup, decent flavors, etc. Then came our entrees. My wife's fettuccine (made fresh daily) was basically flavorless - now it wasn't rosemary pasta or something like that, but fresh pasta has more flavor, and it was a bit soft as well, just didn't have the consistency we were expecting. It wasn't bad, and I'm sure they did make it fresh, but it just wasn't great. The pomodoro sauce was non-existent, and the meatball was solid, but I don't think the fact that it was "Wagyu" made much difference over other solid meatballs. I got the catch of the day which was Wahoo, and it was okay, fish was cooked rare/medium rare and it was solid, but nothing to write home about. And it came with Asian fried rice and vegetables. The rice was pretty salty, too salty, and I don't mind salt and I love fried rice. So that was a bit of a letdown. The fish didn't have any great distinct flavor, so because I didn't love the rice as well... was just a sort of meh entree. So overall, location and view from up on the hill to the water was incredible, very nice decor, good people, just thought the food was not great for the price. If it was 1/5 the price at a waterfront bar that are a dime a dozen on STT, all good. So partially this pretty critical review is because the price point of this place sets a very high bar, and it didn't reach it. Not really even close. We went to Pesce in Red Hook the next night and that meal blew this one out of the water (good, fresh pasta), at 2/3 the price too!

Situated along the ocean, options are indoor or outdoor dining.
We chose a seafood ceviche for our appetizer .
Our entrees were lobster tail thermidor. Presented beautifully.
The other entree was homemade fettuccini with Waygo beef meatballs in pomodoro sauce. Luscious.
Great restaurant with a Father/Daughter staff whom are adorable and very good .

We did a Sunday Brunch with a party of 4. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good meal and the meat omelet was great. I also recommend doing the unlimited mimosa or Bloody Mary. For price if you get two it is worth it. The view was great enabling you to capture some great views of St Thomas and surrounding islands.

I was disappointed with the food. It was relatively tasteless and quite expensive.
The view and service are great. I just feel the chef is trying to be exotic rather than providing good tasting, well prepared food.

Luckily found fresh wahoo as the daily catch. It was absolutely great. Came over a Latin Asian rice with veggies. Awesome. The kitchen got the snapper wrong for my spouse. Corrected it after a while and overcooked it a tad. Waiter was most helpful. Papaya salad was awesome too. Go b4 sunset to see some great views from outside.

This and Prime are our two favorite restaurants on island. We were at Mirador a couple of weeks before they closed and the experience was outstanding. The Fresh Wahoo was amazing, just seared rare. The pork schnitzel was ordered at our server recommendation and was outstanding. Tom, our server also recommended a bottle of Chianti to go with everything and it was delicious. Its the overall experience they excel at here, dining under the stars without being in a hurry, with what could be the best service on the island, both from a technical side and a personal side. The recommendations that Tom shares are always very good. This trip it was the re-opening of Zozo via ferry to some cay, we went the next day. Great dinner experience, enjoy a bottle of wine, receive outstanding service from Tom and you have a great night out!

We keep coming back for more and every time we leave very happy. The overall experience is very important here. Not being in a rush makes all the difference. Bottle of wine, an appetizer, split the salad and then dinner. Did I mention the chocolate mousse? It is the total experience that we cherish here. This is not the restaurant to order only entrees and then sit and wait for your food. We recommend ordering a bottle of wine and enjoying the show. Service here is outstanding, as good or better than anywhere on the island, they work as a team and it shows in the results. Highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

The best thing about Mirador is the fantastic, peaceful view. The 6 of us were so excited to see the restaurant open after Agave Terrace closed a few years back. Sadly our dinner experience was very disappointing. We first ordered drinks and got off to a bad start right away. My husband ordered a Belvedore martini shaken over ice with no vermouth. My husband was very specific on wanting just vodka with NO vermouth. But he brought it with vermouth anyway. When my husband brought it to Tom's attention, Tom was annoyed and unapologetic and brought him a new drink 25 minutes later. Others decided to also order vodka shaken over ice. They charge $14 a drink (not that bad) but then another $4 per drink to have it shaken over ice. (6 drinks shaken over ice =$24 for ice- really!) Our waiter also asked if we would like still or bubbly water. We chose "still" not realizing it was $9 a bottle. Tap was not an option. There were 6 of us and the waiter kept bringing more water and pouring it into our glasses without asking. 4 bottles of still water- $36! Our waiter Tom was quite rude. Two in our party ordered pork schnitzel ($32). It was rather dry so they asked for some sauce that often accompanies schnitzel. Tom was condescending and quite adamant that no sauce ever comes with schnitzel. About midway through our dinner Tom was gone and there was just a "runner" taking care of us. Although most of the food was good, and the setting is beautiful we will not be returning to Mirador. It's not worth the rude staff (TOM) or the high prices that drove bad value.

Huge disappointment, had such high hopes. The waiter was so arrogant, when we asked for tap water he said “suit yourself”, then we were charged TWENTY SEVEN dollars for bottled water anyway! Drinks and apps were great and the view is amazing, but the entrees left a lot to be desired. Dry curry chicken, odd tasting wahoo and fatty/gamey short rib. We are not a picky group and are not prone to complaining, but this was awful. Even with a gift certificate and two entrees taken off, it was $350...including the water we didn’t drink. You can do much better on St. Thomas.

Booked a reservation and they gave it to someone else. They gave us attitude saying “no reservation, no table setting, we’re getting ready for closing”. So we got a subpar table and bad service right off the bat.

Also, not sure if Chef Benny had a night off, but the food was typical and not worth the high price we paid.

Overall dining experience was very good. Greeted before we entered and seated promptly. Waiter was there immediately and was attentive throughout. The entire staff tries very hard and takes a lot of pride in what they do. Very unusual in our experience in the islands.
Lobster ravioli was a nice starter. Lots of flavor and unexpected tastes. Papaya salad was ok. Really would prefer a green salad on the menu. We had the Mahi and short rib for entrees. Both were good and a lot of thought and effort goes into them. Neither was memorable and would try another dish next time. The tiramisu was a good ending albeit very undersized for the price. My only negative would be the $9 charge for still water.

This restaurant was new to us although years ago we had been to this same location when it was called Agave Terrace. The view is stunning and the setting just beautiful. Our amuse bouche was very good and the Green Papaya salad delicious and creative. We really enjoyed the Olive-Rosemary Johnny Cakes served with our entrées. My husband had the Local Caribbean Fish (Catch if the Day) which was Wahoo over Asian rice and he thought it was very tasty. I had the Thai Shrimp which was good but a little disappointing. The shrimp seemed a little overcooked as did the rice mixture it was served upon. The service was extraordinary here. Tom was very gracious and knowledgeable and is one of the best. He had his daughter assisting him the night we were there and she was very good as well. Since my husband loved his entrée so much, the other things I ate were very good, the service wonderful and the view so beautiful, I would go back and try it again. If it were only based on the Thai Shrimp entrée I would not.

We loved having creative cuisine in a tropical setting —with a view! Five of us traded delicious bites of local favorites prepared by the capable chefs. Green papaya salad was made remarkable and refreshing with unexpected Ingredient combinations; fresh local wahoo was done to perfection over island spiced rice and vegetables. The curry chicken got raves as did the lobster ravioli, crunchy inside a tender skin. Our waiter had great suggestions. Service was a bit slow at times but they were very busy. Easy feel to everything: warm ambience and terrific dining experience.

My wife and I dined at Mirador on January 2, 2020 based on a recommendation from a business owner in Charlotte Amalie and we are so glad we did!
Located on the east end of the St. Thomas, USVI, the Mirador outdoor dining patio has one of, if not the finest, views on the island. It is situated high on a steep hillside overlooking Water Bay and Coki Point. We made our reservation for 5:30pm so we could enjoy the sunset and waning light and we were not disappointed.
Our waiter, Tom, was jovial and knowledgeable about the menu and options as well as the island and the entire VI region. He was up to speed on dietary needs as well which is always helpful with my wife's celiacs which makes gluten a big no-no. Chef Benny made a couple of beautifully executed custom variations on the appetizer and her entree. She ordered the blackened mahi and I had the wahoo both of which were FRESH off the boat. DELICIOUS!
If you are looking for a top notch venue with top notch food and service then Mirador fits the bill. You will pay a bit more than at other restaurants but it is well worth it!

Our new year’s eve dinner was delicious— tasty food with great presentation—but I felt it was over priced on the whole. The surf and turf entree with accompanying courses was perhaps closest to the price paid, but the mahi was not. Perhaps including one glass of wine or champagne per entree would have made it all more worth the price.
Our service was impeccable— great staff!

The location is beautiful, the quality and taste of the food was excellent and the service is outstanding. We tried several appetizers and main courses, all of which were spot on. Most unusual was the one thing I will remember most was the home made bread and truffle butter. It's on a different level. The only negative I can say is that we didnt realize there is no dedicated parking at the restaurant. You have to go down a hill to park and walk back up. If you have anyone in your party who has issues with walking, be sure to drop them off at the entrance. We did a dinner and went back for Sunday brunch.
