    They set a time limit for the table, tables extremely close to each other so no conversation privacy, slow service, expensive for small portions and not great taste. Overall would not recommend or go back.

    The service was excellent, the food outstanding, and ambiance first class. And the bonus was the jazz trio group that started playing at 7. It was a wonderful night, and highly recommend!

    Return visit after discovering it randomly on last visit to Mtl, when we sat at the bar and ate. I am a total jazz lover, so when we planned this trip to Mtl, it was a no brainer to return, this time with reserved seats at the music. We were seated right in front of a nice jazz trio (Solane by Starlight: SU bass, guitar & vocal doing standards). Food was great, service great; special order cocktail came out perfect. They were working hard, and delivered. Always where I would go when visiting. In many ways, the top reason I go to Mtl.

    This was a good restaurant. A definite visit for the ambiance. They had lube music which was very cool. The food was on par with any other French restaurant, nothing that stuck out as unique, but live music made it worth the price.

    Solid food. Attentive service. Some dishes missed the mark. Gnocchi — just okay. Onion Soup — spectacular. Music & Vibe perfect. If you’re going out to focus on friends, makes for a wonderful night. If you’re in it for gastronomic memories, maybe skip.

    Sat at the bar - wanted to hear some jazz music during dinner. Had excellent service from the bartender. He made perfect recommendations and was lovely to chat with as well. All around great experience for this solo traveler.

    Everything was excellent, our only complaint was that we were two couples and the lovely waiter never asked how many bills and assumed my partner would pay for everyone, my partner didn't want to make our friends feel awkward or guilty so he went with it and didn't say anything. We're not mad, we just thought it odd that we weren't asked how many bills.

    Went for early dinner so was not as loud at that time. Good volume for conversation. Lamb seemed to be specialty and was delicious. Great staff! Highly recommend!

    I was traveling to Montreal with my friends, it was a great evening spent at Movie, the food was great, besides the delicious lab chop , foie gras was absolutely a surprise for us, and we all enjoy the vibe there.it was a wonderful experience

    My husband and I went for our 10 year anniversary brunch. The whole experience was amazing from warm bread and butter to delicious steak tartare to eggs Benedict and of course the live music was a cherry on top. The service was impeccable, we felt super welcomed by Lorenzo and his team, I am so happy we discovered this place and we will definitely be back.

    This restaurant is a gem. We sat upstairs near the windows overlooking the charming cobbled street all lit up for Christmas. A lovely romantic ambiance. The platter of local cheeses, mussels, and rack of lamb were all wonderful. Wine selection is wide but pricy. The jazz trio made the evening much more special than just eating great food. Our waiter was attentive and a real professional. We loved it so much we came back a second night. A little noisier downstairs, but the same great food (steak and lamb pasta dish this time - lamb is their thing). This time a talented singer and guitarist played rock favourites from CCR to John Lennon. Don’t miss Mondavie.
