   Our server veronique was absolutely amazing and she made our experience unforgettable. She had great suggestions for wines and even brought up a birthday dessert for us at the end. We will be back!!

   We returned to Modavie after having been there three years ago and enjoying the live music. We made a reservation online and noted that we wanted seats where we could see the musicians but not too close that we couldn't talk to each other. Upon arriving at the restaurant, 15 minutes before the music was to start, I again reiterated the request concerning our seating. The hostess said no problem and we were seated. We ordered our meals, ate and still there was no live music and we learned this only when we asked upon leaving and our waitress did not know why there was no live music that night...when there is every night. So Modavie can't earn more stars for this review. Our waitress was lovely though.

   Went on a Sunday, live music was cancelled because of the bad weather. Appetizers were good, small portions e.g you can get the same quality and better portion and at a Greek restaurant for the price. Cheese appetizer was 25$ for 4 small pieces of cheese. Main dish was the lamb pasta, which was tasty. Overall ok experience.

    Delicious eggs Benedict with asparagus, and onion soup au gratin. The fruit plate did not appear or taste fresh. Must have been in fridge overnight. Great live jazz music for brunch, plus all service staff were excellent.

    Service was great! Food quality was also excellent but some flavors were bland. Lamb chops were a great cut and cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. Our server Yan was wonderful and made our night great! The drinks, while very expensive, were amazing! We will go back for sure but ask for a few tweaks in the seasoning/meats

    Great ambience with the live music. The band was very engaging. Food was okay-ish. Not super special but then again we didn’t try their lamb chops / meat dishes. Mushroom risotto was bit bland. Salmon tartare could do with less raw onions. Octopus linguini was actually pretty good. Service was slow. It was a houseful so I guess understandable. The birthday girl got a dessert with a candle on the house. That was cute.

    The environment was beautiful a little disappointed with the live music. Next time I would ask to book a table downstairs. The live performance downstairs seem better. The food was not very good and my friend and I were a bit shocked. The waiter also was not very attentive would come and fill up water but did not check up on us as much as expected. However the lady that welcomed us and brought us to our table was so kind and really nice. She even gave us suggestions.

    L’ambiance est excellent, mais la musique est un peu fort. La nourriture est très bon comme le service à table. pour le personnel c’est très professionnel et attentionné j’ai vraiment aimé.

    We had a table on the upper floor, by a window. The floor was half full, so the ambiance was nice and we had privacy to talk. The view was nice. The service was appropriate and curteous. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. We had the rack of lamb and the chicken fillet and a bottle of Piaggia Il Sasso Carmignano 2020. Really good wine, even if a bit expensive at $110. Overall a nice evening.

    it was our day trip in Montréal. The foods were good. Loved the salmon tartare. The cocktails were good, especially the old fashioned was a bit different in a good way. The servers were so kind as well. We liked the restaurant overall

    Such a joyful evening with my partner for our anniversary. We had Pascale as a server, who was just AMAZING - we asked so many questions and she was just so wonderful in answering and guiding us. The food was amazing and there was live music which provided great ambiance! So grateful and would definitely recommend!

    Very enjoyable evening. We were told our table reservation was for 2 hours, so be aware. The live music isn’t jazz on Sunday but was quite enjoyable. Remember to tip the artists. Cheese plate was delicious with cheeses from Charlevoix - the Hercules and the semi-firm blue were standouts, served with a fruit confit, nuts and caramelized onions. The braised lamb pappardelle left nary a morsel. The duck confit and accompaniments were very good (a nicely spiced cabbage and thin slices of potato over a delicious jus), although the duck was not as tender as could be, I suspect it was reheated- not a big deal for me- but needed a bit more heat time for the texture. It still came off the bone easily but a wee bit firm. Plenty of wine options by the glass in 5 or 8 ounce pours, and an appealing list of bottle options.

    Came for brunch with a large group to celebrate a birthday. One of the only places that could accommodate 10 without a fixed menu. The food was delicious and service was great. Would come back anytime! 😊
