Four key pieces separate us from a traditional steakhouse.

1) We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put into produce our beef. We like our beef to be, hormone & antibiotic free and pasture raised. Happy cattle make for better steaks.

2) We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

3) We use an 1800o Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. Our grill stays at very consistent high heat versus a traditional open flame grill. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

4) Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palate for a steakhouse. We broke the mold and decided to add hand selected music that reflects us!

My husband and I went for "date night" on Wednesday and had an amazing time. Fab food and awesome service. Modern Steak might be our new favorite steak restaurant!

Our waiter Ryan, really made this a memorable experience. He was knowledgeable, personable, and eloquent. The food was incredible and Ryan took us on a culinary adventure. The wine pairings were top notch. Will recommend to anyone to try out modern steak

When entering the restaurant the most revolting smell hits you. I made a point to ask the greeter what that disgusting sewer smell was? She told us they have old sewer system and this is normal! Overall the experience wasn't worth the $500.00 for 2 people The drinks were all extremely boozy Even the waitress mad a point to say when she tried the drink menu she didn't expect it to be all so strong. The bearnaise sauce on or mashed potatoes had a crab shell in it. Overall not at all what I would expect of a "high-end restaurant"

We have been there before and the food was absolutely amazing but this time that wasn’t the case. The steak was bland and overcooked and tough. The lobster tail was about as big as the shrimp, and for an extra $16 you’d expect a little more. It was my mother’s birthday and she wanted a smoked cocktail. The menu said it came to the table “smoking”. The waiter said “nah, he’ll do it at the bar”, which wasn’t really the point of the whole experience.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was super special to us. This outing was particularly special to us as it was our first outing after having our second child. The atmosphere made it great for me and my husband to connect again, we got to laugh, talk and just be the two of us again after such a long time. The food was great, the chef did a wonderful job on the steak, everything was too perfect. A special shoutout to our server, Valentina, she was wonderful and made our time extra special. I cannot speak enough about the service we received, from the hand written card, to the free desert, the little personal touches we got at every step! Thank you so much! From an overworked mum and dad, we truly appreciate and loved our time. We will definitely be back again.

We were not told that there was an auto gratuity on our bill and tipped on top of that. The server did not deserve a 40% tip after our entrees took a very long time and he forgot our sauces. Ended up waiting until the steak got cold to eat so we could eat with our sauces. We were also charged for bread we didn't order. It sucks to come to a nice restaurant and have greasy behaviour like this occur.

We opted for the sharing plate to experience three types of beef. Wish we ordered more sides as they were delicious but too small. The chocolate cake was phenomenal. Our waiter Dominic was relaxed and confident, knowledgeable about the menu and wines, and made great suggestions.

We celebrated 2 birthdays on 2 separate occasions 1 week apart. Our servers, Marina and Dominique, were wonderful. We ordered the Trio fillet. It was good but not out of this world for $156. I'm not impressed with the presentation of the food. It is too simplistic for the cost of the meal. The first time my steak came "alone" on the plate. So unappealing even thought the fillet was tasty and tender. I've never seen a lonely piece of meat served solo on a white plate without any garnish. Although the service was very good and the food pretty good, I doubt I'll make a special effort to go back.

The experience was absolutely wonderful! It was out first time there. The server was super informative with the menu and what wines went with what. Steaks were cooked to perfection! Dessert was phenomenal! We ordered the chocolate cake (can't recall the name). Our server (name starts with an M... ) was personable and kind and she made the experience just awesome 10/10 would go again!

Service was great, the menu is confusing. It was our anniversary we got a free dessert and card, very sweet It's quite dark in the restaurant in some areas of the restaurant. I think some portions could have been bigger for tje prices.
