Four key pieces separate us from a traditional steakhouse.

1) We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put into produce our beef. We like our beef to be, hormone & antibiotic free and pasture raised. Happy cattle make for better steaks.

2) We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

3) We use an 1800o Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. Our grill stays at very consistent high heat versus a traditional open flame grill. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

4) Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palate for a steakhouse. We broke the mold and decided to add hand selected music that reflects us!

Bone in Cow Boy steak was burned. The piece of meat had literally no marbling. The Rib Eye benchmark steak was good. Overall, not worth the price.

I have never spent this much money on a meal and enjoyed it less (relatively speaking). i would definitely not come again. It was like eating at Earl's Or The National with the price tag of the former La Chaumiere. Quite pretentious with nothing to back it up with. Will not come back! Granted I did not know what to expect, but had expected something along the line of Hy's or any of the old Calgary steakhouses. Group of 9 - 20%tip was included in the bill (Normal, although it was calculated on amount including taxes).

Outstanding dining experience. Service atmosphere and food were all top notch. We had the tomohawk steak and it was perfectly done. It's an expensive restaurant but worth it as it epitomizes fine dining.

Given the overall cost of everything these days we have often enjoyed the value of date night at modern steak. However this particular evening we felt rushed, our server constantly tried to get us to upgrade on everything, water glasses remained unfilled, empty glasses and plates cluttered the table and the steaks were so tough you could barely cut them. Not impressed and not certain we will return, unless it’s the south location. We took out of town guests to try our delicious Alberta beef and we were all disappointed.

We had a fantastic dining experience. Great food, friendly service, and an incredible atmosphere on the roof top patio. I'm certain we will come again.

Was a great first time experience. Food was amazing, service was superb, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had the Tomahawk special and it was order to perfection. We definitely will be back.

First time in Calgary and tried out modern steak. Our server Maria was amazing filled with happiness and joy. Our steaks were well cooked and the food tasted amazing. Thanks for a great service and making our first time fun! The free popcorn is addicting.
