Healthy and flavourful, halal Moroccan cuisine, aromatic spices. Vegan and gluten free options. We offer BC and international wines, local beers on tap, cocktails. Moroccan Tea, coffee.
Moroccan cuisine is a delicious combination of mouthwatering flavors that make it unique. Moroccan food is incredibly diverse, thanks to the countrys interaction with other cultures and nations over the centuries. Influenced by Berbers, Arabs, Andalusian, Mediterranean and especially French.
We use traditional Moroccan Tagines for cooking, where the convection produced by the design of the pot cooks everything perfectly. The dish is naturally and continuously basted - ingredients are moist and the meat buttery. Couscous and Pastillas are must ty, so are homemade Merguez lamb sausages. Our Vegan sampler plater is

All our meat is halal and hormone- and antibiotic-free. We offer lots of vegan, pescatarian options.

    We really enjoyed this find in Vancouver. As a fan of Moroccan food and as a someone who has spent extensive time in Morocco and elsewhere in the Middle East, they got the spices and flavors right. I know some reviewers were concerned about the neighborhood but it is a block away from the main street and we never felt unsafe. It is unfortunate that there are pockets of poverty in Vancouver and this can sometimes be concerned unsafe. If concerned, go when it is light out. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

    Happy overall with the experience. The food was very good, the servers were all friendly and attentive. That little stretch of street the restaurant is in in Gastown felt a bit sketchy but I felt safe as soon as I stepped in the restaurant. I will go back for sure!

    Food was so delicious! Staff was very friendly. Recommendation is to have music not so loud so you can have better conversations. Unfortunately it is in a bad area of the city that is being taken over by homeless/ drug addicts - a real shame for the restaurant that will most like lose customers due to that. We felt a bit unsafe walking the area to get to the restaurant

    Amazing. I’d never had Moroccan cuisine and it was amazing and the my walked us through everything. The service was great, I loved the mixed drinks and the ambiance. Highly recommend!

    In addition to my Google review, let me tell you that Anna at the gastown location is an incredible server. Attentive, friendly and great at recommendations. The Belly dancer was great as well, and really engaged with our kids. Food was morrocan style....so qe didnt know what to expect but found it great and flavorful. The lamb was amazing

    We had a great time and thought the food and the service was excellent. We found that the server omitted a few things when we ordered like we asked for the cucumber salad and one of our main plates had cucumber salad in it. she also never mentioned that some dishes came with bread when we ordered extra. I will say that we had a bit too much food because of this and I always appreciate when the servers point this out. All in all everything was great. We were disappointed that there was no belly dancing that night as we had read that shows were Friday and Saturday and specifically reserved then to be able to enjoy the show. Knowing this would be helpful for our next visit but we will definitely be back.

    A wonderful "trip" to Morocco! the ambiance, decor, lighting, scents, servers, curtained tables (and unexpected bellydance performance!) made it a delightful evening. To be honest, I was a bit distracted from really thinking about how good the food was. I had a traditional lemon-chicken tagine along with some appies. Wonderful spot for a date / night out. The leftovers tasted great, so I'll have to go back and focus more on the food while it's hot!

    We had a lovely evening with belly dancing and lively music- a touch loud at times, but fun. Food was excellent and service was great too. Just don’t like the location in Gastown. Also seating wasn’t the most comfortable. But overall a great night.

    Very nice restaurant with authentic moroccan food and friendly service. We had the stuffed eggplant with lamb sausage and moroccan salad to start with Chicken Tajine which reminded us of our trip to Morocco. Restaurant was full and food came right away, but it took awhile to get our bill. Overall very good and will return.

    Been to the Gastown location half a dozen times and enjoyed their great food and friendly service. Ambiance was good and had a Moroccan feel for someone who has visited Morocco. I would try the Yaletown location next time for the belly dancing. Highly recommend you give it a try!

    One of the best dinners out we've had. We shared the vegetarian sample platter, that was enough for dinner for us, and everything was delicious. The service was excellent, everything was brought out extremely quickly. Great feel to the place. Only complaint was the music (though fantastic) was a bit too loud, and that's coming from a musician! But we hope to come again and try even more off the menu.

    First time in a Moroccan Resturent. Definitely a very different experience. Loved the decor, atmosphere. Super friendly and knowledgeable stuff. The food was OK. We had lamb merguez, seafood pastilla, harira, cardamon duck tagine, semolina bread, chocolate cake, baklava with ice-cream, saffron martini, moroccan mint tea and Turkish coffee restaurant.!! Wowww a lot .:) I would definitely go again for the atmosphere, might not be for food .!! The background music was bit loud for us but it goes well with the atmosphere.

    Food and Service was very good. We had the Goat and Tagines and the lamb sausage as an appetizer. All were very good. The lamb (with apricot) tagline was the best. We probably could have had another appetizer and shared a tagline. There was a bit of a noisy party next to us that left about half way through our dinner, then the ambience was quite delightful. We are from out of town and have been to the Hastings location a couple of times. We will go back.

    My husband and I we love everything about this restaurant specifically the service is espectacular, the owners are there making sure everything goes well and they are very friendly. They have two shows of belly dancing what it is a plus. Im coming back for sure very soon.
