My second time in. The ambiance is great as well as service. Ordered sampler for two- carrots salad felt like soaked in the soap water. Main meal chicken, was mediocre. They didn’t have the duck that I wanted to order. But stuff was very friendly and nice! Will come back.

The food, atmosphere, and service is AWESOME. It feels like you are actually in a restaurant somewhere in Morocco. I highly recommend that anyone who is even remotely interested in GOOD food should try the this restaurant. The traditional drinks are also EXCELLENT!

Food was great as always but service was poor. I asked repeatedly for bread to come for the table to accompany our tajines. When it finally came they brought one piece of bread for two people. I asked for more and they eventually brought one more piece of bread, but not before I had to repeat my request. Usually an order of bread is a few pieces in a basket. Twice we sat with empty wine glasses and had to flag someone down to take our order for more wine. Not the service I’m used to in this great restaurant! Pretty disappointing as I brought a friend for her first time and she said she won’t be back.

Absolutely delightful! I started with their lemon drop martini which was outstanding, then had the chicken with apricots tagine as my main . Both the cocktail and the tagine combined lovely flavours and were absoutely delicious! The service is fantastic, the wine list was surprisingly extensive and I found a very nice Italian Pinot Grigio. We were surprised when a lovely dancer performed later in the evening, but it was really fun and charming! Fantastic evening - love this restaurant.

The service was amazing! Everyone was so happy to explain to us the different dishes and the went above any beyond when they came out to sing happy birthday to the group as a few of us were celebrating. The entertainment was an added bonus!

Our evening at Moltaqa was unforgettable. As a foodie, every dish just blew my mind. From the presentation, to the simple and high quality ingredients creating such unique and flavourful dishes, leaving me wondering where I’m going wrong with my own cooking, I was in awe. If we weren’t just visiting this would for sure be a monthly spot so I could try every dish they offered. The halalel half chicken, tomato salad and soups were the standouts but I find myself listing every dish we had because they were all that amazing. The staff were a mix of very endearing, considerate staff. They went out of their way to make it such a rememberable night for us.

Overwhelmed by the noise level. No reason to leave a restaurant with ringing in your ears. Too bad. The food is very good. The bar interesting and the ambience could be very nice.

The tagine was amazing and so was the chilled eggplant dip. The belly dancing show happens twice on Friday & Saturday nights at 730 & 930. Awesome vibe with good cocktails too.

Had the loveliest birthday dinner, ordered the vegetarian sampler platter so we could all try different appetisers/soups, the mains were generously portioned and extremely delicious. The flambéed rack of lamb was juicy and tender - the little fire show was a plus. The spicy harissa half chicken with rice was seasoned just right. My personal favourite was the spicy meatball tagine! Loved the flavours and the spice in it. Would definitely visit again - the staff and ambience was delightful.

Outstanding as always. Moltaqa offers something else than any other Vancouver or Yaletown restaurant. We loved our experience. Kofta tagine is my favourite. Cocktails are flavourful and unique. Arabic playlist is well selected.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are not in Canada- which is great! The service was attentive throughout the meal. The portions are large and can easily be shared. The main dishes were very tasty. Overall a fun experience and good value!

Great ambience, good service. We set at the corner table and we’re able to see the whole place. Loved their music too- it was authentic but with modern twist. Food was good. Overall great place especially if you are looking for something different then steak house😀

Overall our group enjoyed the evening. I hesitate leaving this review. Just before drinks arrived we noticed the leg on our table had separated from the table top. We had to hold the table to keep it from collapsing. Staff didn’t seem to understand what we were telling them. They thought it was simply wobbly. Eventually they swapped our table with another one in the restaurant. It was half the size and we were all squished around it. We pressed forward, but noticed that they sat another couple at the broken table. We warned them again that the table was going to collapse but they just ignored it. Eventually we just gave up trying to explain the issue. The meals started to come out quite quickly, but only half of them. There was roughly a 10 minute delay between the first three and the next two. Almost another 10 minutes until the last meal. Everyone was very apologetic, but when you add everything together, it was really a weird dining experience. We weren’t really expecting anything for the missteps, but it is always nice when restaurants do something to ensure you walk away with a good feeling. In this case, not even a final acknowledgement of situation. It’s too bad, their atmosphere and food are exceptional.

We ordered 3 dishes recommended by the server - two appetizers and a main. There were only 3 of us and we are unfortunately not big eaters. After tasting the harissa prawns, tomato and basil salad and flambé full rack of lamb, I wish we had room to try more dishes. Everything was perfectly seasoned. I likely wouldn’t have ordered the tomato salad because it’s so basic if my friend hadn’t picked it, yet it tasted better than any other tomato salad I’ve ever had. The lamb was so much fun when it was set on fire and was super tender. I could have eaten all the prawns myself. This place is a very nice addition to Yaletown. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The wait staff will flambé your food at the table, frequently refill your drinks, and make sure to ask all of your questions about the food. The restaurant itself was beautiful with a romantic atmosphere so I highly recommend it for a date. The few downsides is that the music can be a bit loud, the washroom was a little messy, and our food took a while to arrive — I’d say it was around a 20 minute wait between our appetizer and our entrée. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will be coming back!

Great experience! The servers are knowledgeable in Moroccan food culture and customs. The dishes full of flavour and easily shareable family-style. The restaurant lighting is a bit dark with dim lighting, but nothing out of the ordinary for restaurants of similar ambiance. The music is a tad loud, but conversation could still be held without having to yell. Overall would go again!
