Changing with the seasons, our menu starts with meat and potatoes and offers a range of other locally inspired dishes.
The dining room is an extension of the hearth— a warm retreat that brings the outdoors in. Inspiration comes from Executive Chef Paula Navarrete’s childhood in Colombia, spent around the grill, combined with her passion for Canadian produce.

High prices. Server was rushing us through and not very helpful with suggestions. Ordered a steak that came quite under cooked
OVER ALL ITS A GOOD RESTAURANT AND I WOULD GO BACK AGAIN BUT I DIDN'T FIND THE FOOD TO BE EXTRAORDINARY I HAVE HAD BETTER FOOD ELSEWHERE . THE STEAK WAS BLAND , THEIR HOT SAUCE ISNT REALLY THAT HOT AND THE TABLES ARE REALLY SMALL.
Service was very efficient and the food was fantastic. The trout in particular was so moist. We also loved the cod fritters and soufflé's for dessert.
Momofuku Kojin was a great experience overall. We went there to try the burger seemed one of the best of Toronto, and we were not disappointed. It is definitely the best burger we have had in a Toronto. As an appetizer we had the chef sausages and they were super good too! Ask for the habanero sauce if you dare. For desert we had the ice cream cake and it was delicious. The service was very good too. The only bad thing I could say is that they brought the check before we asked for it so at the end we felt kind of rushed. We are definitely returning.
Place is beautiful however the limited menu was a but disappointing. Although the steak was perfectly cook we ordered it was quite expensive for what we got and was not very flavorful or exciting in the least. Service was ok and bartender was excellent.
We had been to Momofuku before and loved it. This new menu is creative and Delicious as expected from Dave Chang’s staff. I suggest sharing the small plates so you get to experience it all. We had the beef drippings with flat bread, the sausage platter (incredible flavours) fresh oyster (love the cucumber mignonette, and the green pepper too) the rib eye (it’s all about the meat) and a very generous blueberry dessert. Honestly. A gastronomic party. I absolutely loved the food. Staff are super sweet and passionate. Amanda looked after us, she was attentive with great timing and very good.
Solid meal. Fresh food. Nice atmosphere.
Had a great time at the restaurant. Food and service was 5 stars. Will come back again.
We were asked to move to a different table before our meal was completed and weren't told why. We complied. Then our leftovers were misplaced but found later, but looked like they had been found in the garbage. The contents were one big mass piled up in the corner of the take out container so of course, we threw them out immediately. Not a good experience for such a classy establishment.
The food was so flavorful. New taste mixes that were unexpected and unbelievable. So delicious!!! One of the best meals ever.
Tienen buenos vinos y digestivos. En realidad una experiencia perfecta.
The Lucky Peach delivers the whimsical happiness that is their culinary space. Playfully flavorful with textures and visuals that make your meal memorable for your mind and palate. Your thirst for beverages is encouraged by the surrounding seasoned professional hosts touching your dining space.
Sardines in a can? Jazz it up with some citrus capers and seasoned heat. Yummmm. House made Sausage platter with spiked mustard and tart pickles? Nosh nosh... Rock shrimp cornmeal tempura touched with caviar? Fight for the last piece! And some aged ribeye with bone marrow butter... add the Tita’s mashed for a winna winna cheesy dinna! All washed down with a suave sommelier pick and a few crafted cocktails.
Already made our reservation for chicken and caviar the next day!
Long live the Peach!
Good experience. Beautiful decor. Food was good but a bit expensive. Cocktails extremely overpriced. Order beer instead. Service staff told us we didn’t order enough food when we ordered 2 cocktails; a beer; sparkling water; an appetizer; a steak with sides and a burger with its own side. I thought it was a way to increase our bill. Maybe they have minimum spends that they must encourage guests to reach. We didn’t order more bc we were full, but I think it was rude.
Not the most creative food in Toronto, but every dish came out with great flavor and exceptionally cooked. The tasting menu was an incredible experience, sampling most dishes from the menu. Each dish had enough to share for 6 people to try.
Been here multiple times and it is consistently amazing. The food is so delicious and not too salty. Perfectly seasoned. Service is always on point. The staff is always accommodating — there was a man eating alone on the counter next to us, and Kojin gave him a sampling of all the different toppings in single portions rather than making him order full blown orders of each. I thought that was super nice of Kojin to do that. Cocktails are fantastic here. This is one of my very favorite places to eat.
Not a lot of vegetarian options. Cocktails were expensive $17!
Upon arrival it was extremely busy but our table was ready almost immediately. Tables are close to one another so it’s not a cozy setting. The views are amazing from every angle looking out the large, glass windows. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The appetizer took an unusually long time to come, but the server took it off our bill without us even saying anything. Cocktails were delicious. Our main (steak) was delicious and the side dishes were even better. Tita’s mash potatoes and the brussel sprouts were outstanding! Overall it’s a great spot, but definitely busy and could involve lengthy wait times for food.
The service at Kojin was OUTSTANDING, in a world where mediocre service seems to be the norm these days. It didn't feel awkwardly like they were going out of their way to make the meal enjoyable, but in a casual and fun way, they did. Oh, and the food is unreal.
Wow, what a treat!! corn cakes were an interesting surprise (image). Do not miss the steak with added shaved fois Gras on top. The combination of flavors was incredible. I am not overstating that the Chocolate Soufflé was one of best I ever tasted, hands-down. Will be back upon returning to Toronto...
Amazing food, amazing service. Expensive but worth the price
The atmosphere was great but for the high price, I found many of the dishes unpleasant. The steak was good but nothing special to talk about. The absolute highlight were the brussel sprouts.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Has a great view!!!
My husband and I shared the roasted beets to start which were delicious. My husband had the boneless ribeye and a side of peppers. I had the trout and a side of mushrooms. The trout was incredible- intensely flavourful. The ribeye was very good too. The service was fantastic and we will definitely go back.
Awesome, as always!
I have been to other Momofukus before (in NYC) and liked them but not loved them. This one has a fabulous location overlooking University, especially if you can get a seat in the window. The decor is fabulous - although it is a good hike up the stairs to get to!
We were very pleasantly surprised by the food - it was delicious and interesting. With two drinks each, our bill came to $120 which was very reasonable given the food and atmosphere.
My only quibble (and this is also a plus) was we waiting a long time for food. The staff were attentive and helpful, we waited a bit to order but didn’t realize that they don’t rush you so it ended up being a good hour before we saw food.
TGIF quality, if not worse. Fraudulent attempt to impersonate an haute cuisine, whereas in reality, everything reeks of sub-quality, the food is sloppily prepared and poorly served. Never again.
This was our third visit to this outstanding restaurant and its unusual cuisine. You will
not be disappointed. But do ask for a table in the main dining area away from the open kitchen -
to avoid the heat and some smoke from its wood burning grill. So wonderful to know that after
several visits, the quality of the food and warmth of the service is being maintained. We'll be back!
Great overall fee dining well spice
Pretty space, but chilly when we got there for the only reservation time we could get (3 wks out) at 5:15. Service was attentive...the server would appear as soon as anything came to the table and ask how it was (on occasion we had not had more than a single sip or bite). There was an overwhelming feeling of being rushed. Drink order was taken, immediately we were asked about appetizers and the server suggested we put in our mains at the same time so "the kitchen could time everything". Whoa there, we hadn't even been given our cocktails. Three dessert choices and we were told they were out of the chocolate souffle. How is that possible? We were one of the first tables of the afternoon! This probably had more to do with the fact that the menu noted it took 45 minutes for that dessert. Clearly we were out of time. Very expensive mains. Delicious food.
Loved the whole experience. Staff made us feel welcome and atmosphere was friendly and warm and of course the food was delicious. I will go back.
I loved Kojin, been here a couple times with different groups of friends. The past Friday was one of the not so good experiences at Kojin. Don't get me wrong, the food was great, the ambience was great but the service was off for me. First off, our server was sick, which is normal however, his sniffles as he was explaining the dishes was very difficult to understand, he rubbing his face as he was sniffling and having felt a few splashes of I don't know what on me... I was not impressed. Second, the out of menu cuts was delicious, it's not about the money but I wished the server explained a little more about the pricing. I reconfirmed the price for $306 and he said "36 oz" and our impression was like "oh ok". It felt like he was trying to up-sell us on the most expensive dishes on the menu and we did no appreciate that at all. Understand that he wanted to recommend what is good on the menu but it didn't feel like this is a good recommendation but an "up-sell"
Delicious food and friendly and attentive service! Corn flatbread with beef drippings and Brie, Duck, Butcher’s Steak, Chocolate Soufflé, Blueberry Cobbler were all delicious! Chef’s Counter seating allows you to see all the grilling.
Absolutely excellent lunch. Would highly recommend. Who knew Brussels sprouts could be that good? Also loved the cod fritters and the Drew’s grass fed butter flatbread. Go now!
Fire-grilled food at its best. Had dinner here for the second time in two days! Does that tell you enough. This time had the celery root salad, shrimp crudo, 1 5oz bone-in ribeye, brussel sprouts, magic potatoes. Awesome. Wonderful service from both the kitchen and the floor. Coming back soon!
Great spot for a date, view was spectacular, food and service make us want to come back.
Awesome meal. Great, friendly, engaging service by both server and chefs. Glazed pork chop is to die for. We liked it so much that we returned the following evening.
Great food and service!!
It was a delightful evening
We were excited to get last minute reservations for David Chang’s Momofuku Toronto, but instead of getting first floor reservations at his noodle bar as we had intended, we unintentionally got counter seats at Kojin, Executive Chef Paula Navarrete’s Columbian grill that is part of Momofuku. May all our mistakes be this fortunate: it was an incredible meal prepared less than four feet from us. The wood-fires grill made us sweat, but watching true culinary artists make amazing food was an experience capped only by eating it. Skip the noodles: go to the third floor.
We reserved through OpenTable, so double check your reservation if you really want the noodles. But skip the noodles.
We had a great evening, sitting at the bar looking how all the food was prepared. The flatbread is heavenly and the trout was accompanied with a sauce that kept me puzzled for days.
