There is a magic formula to restaurant and bar success. When a client enters they are immediately greeted and escorted to their table. Upon sitting down a waitress/waiter should immediately come to the table with 2 glasses of water and take their drink and deposit the menus. Within the 5min return and take the order.3 visits after the meal is served dictates a star 5 assessment of the service however and at the same time the wait stuff should be clearing the table and up selling the client on dessert or another drink.Failing that a cheque should be proactively offered by the wait stuff. The longer the client waits to demands his bill the less likely service will be awarded with the big tip. When the manager walks by and clearly observes the client looking for the waitress they should stop and ask what the client wants instead of walking pass them 3 or times and ignoring the obvious looks from the client. Nice restaurant but needs improvement in service.

The meal was great. The service was timely and courteous. Steak was absolutely tender and delicious. Only downside was the on-line booking which limited selection of times. Wanted later reservation but was restricted to early time slot. Many tables were empty when we left.

Our server took our order, we waited an hour without him checking in on us to see if we needed refills, and then told us after an hour that he hadn’t put our order in. As we didn’t have time to wait, we were forced to leave. Terrible service and very poor service from the server. Will not recommend or return

I am really satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food . Caesar drink and antojitos is top notch . But I feel service could have been improved better . Because we have to wait long to get our next order . Especially we waited about 45 mins to get our dessert. May be it could be due to labour shortages. But it tests the customer patience. Other than that food, ambience and cleanliness of restaurant is superb.

It was a very good experience from the get-go. We were a bit earlier than our reservation time, and we were taken in right away so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our server, Shannon, was spectacular. Her approach, demeanor and attentiveness made our visit a very good one. The only kickup was the time it took for our food to arrive at our table (still a bit longer than expected). Overall, however, it was the best experience we;'ve had at Montana's so far.

Kanata Montana's has become my family's go-to for dining out. On our most recent visit, there were a couple of issues with the doneness of the steak order and a side order portion size. The establishment went the extra km to make sure we were taken care of, which was very much appreciated. Otherwise it was a terrific visit and we're looking forward to our next one.
