Montana's BBQ & Bar - Kingston
Hostess that seated us was terrible. Had made a reservation for 3, inside. She asks in a rude tone while looking at the reservation, "2 people?" While looking at the three of us standing there. "Umm, no 3." Equally rude, "inside or outside?" "Inside, just like the reservation states." Then grabs the menus and literally speed walks away without saying a word to us. We stand there for a couple of seconds wondering if we should follow. We spring to catch up to her and just get to her when she is literally throwing the menus on the table and then takes off without saying a word. It takes the waitress, who was very pleasant, 15 minutes to come take our order and then the food arrives late as well. In the whole time we were there we noticed that there were only a further 3 groups of patrons getting seated, not busy at all, and the hostess treats them all the same way. The food was great but service and hostess made the experience a dud. You do realize you have a lot of competition in the city for your business?
All good, nothing special. Great server. Atmosphere just ok. First time at a Montana's..
We were passing through Kingston and it was one of the only resturant’s off the highway on open table. We wanted something quick and easy. Food was okay, on par with the price and service.
I visit the Toronto area Montanas' and always had good experiences. The food was OK but it came to the table warm , not hot and my husband's steak and potatoes we cold. And I mean cold as if it was sitting for some time before it was delivered. My salmon was warm and not hot. We returned the steak and potatoes but it took so long to return that my husband ate his dinner after the rest of us finished our dinners. Not good. Then just while my husband was paying I remembered we could get a discount with our CAA card. I wanted him to stop the process as he had not entered his pin #, but the waitress said it was too late. That wasn't true which I didn't like that. I didn't make a big fuss b / c we were with a family group of 5 people for a Christmas dinner and my husband oaid for everything. The interior was overly bright and nothing like the woodsy interior of other Montanas. It was not what I expected. I would not go back to the Kingston - Division location again.
Decent corporate food. BBQ sauces all have smoke in ‘em, smoke should be in the meat, not the sauce...
We waited for 30 min for our food. Two orders cane ice cold and one was wrong. Reordered and was told they were out of one of the meals..overall stuck there 3 hours and incredibly dissatisfied
Food was great and we had the best service ever, in there!
Honestly not sure what was wrong that night, Appetizer was late coming out and cold, waitress explained that our app would be free. Our first choice was not available and was disappointing. Finally ordered and my wife’s food was cold and my meal came but the side came 10 minutes later and then a side of mayo came after the waitress noticed I didnt have it (I didn’t want to say anything.) Regarding the waitress, Excellent service, apologized for the kitchen problems and kept coming back to check up on us which was nice. We love Montana’s but was very disappointed that day.
Went for lunch with a couple of friends. Delicious meal, what you expect from Montana’s. Great service, meals came promptly and friendly staff.
We went for New Years Eve with our children, we got there just as it was starting to pick up. The waitress was great. Our food wasn't great, my husband ordered his steak medium well, and it was rare. i ordered mine well, and half was burnt the other was medium, it was not a great night for our outing. Usually the food is pretty good, but someone dropped the ball on this occasion.
Very good time. Food was great and service quick and friendly
Sorry to say, but this was not a good experience. The food was sparce, at best, and not very good either. None of us were impressed with the food for the price.
It was so loud; hard to have a conversation...and we were eating with the 'blue hairs' at 4:30!
The beer was cold though, and the waitress gave me a weird look when I asked for a glass!? Poor girl, she was either being so fake with her high-pitched, sing-songy voice, or she was a true valley girl.
So...to sum it all up...we spent $60 to have a conversation with our friends. Sad...
They have all you can eat Ribs on Wednesday. But the Ribs were sold out at 7.45pm. ☹
we were disapointed in one of the meals and got it changed.. the fries were cold and steak cooked too much on another meal.. the third meal the baked potato must have been leftover from lunch it was way overcooked and tasted warmed up we were shocked at the price of $12 plus for a glass of wine when we received the bill the waitress had put extra glass of wine on our bill instead of our friends and she had charged for a topping that she had initially said was a free promo but she was able to correct that
The new bench design provides very little barrier between your table and the next one over. The majority of our meal were spent being jostled and pushed by the other table.
The food was over cooked and had hair cooked into it.
The music was so loud you could barely hear your server or those at your table.
Overall I would not return to this location.
Better knowledge with this app would make things go better.
Love the atmosphere here..small and friendly
