MONTI Aperitivo & Cucina is inspired by the Monti district in Rome, IT. The Monti neighborhood is full of art galleries, creative studios, independent restaurants and shops - just like our home of Fountain Square.

MONTI Aperitivo & Cucina is housed in a century-old building, and led by the simplicity of Italian farmhouse cuisine, with a focus on spritzes, vermouths, wines, craft cocktails, and a focused, seasonal menu.

Join Monti and B-Side Selections in welcoming founder and winemaker Luca Fedrigo of L'Arco to Indianapolis! Luca is one of the most exciting producers in Veneto. He trained under the legendary Amarone producer Giuseppe Quintarelli; L'Arco is located just steps away from the Quintarelli estate, and Luca produces wine in the same artistic tradition while incorporating his own traditions and ideas. It's hard to think of another producer who so seamlessly integrates respect for tradition, expression of terroir, and their own original voice. We will be highlighting L'Arco's five flagship red wines, paired with 5 classic dishes from Veneto. The lineup includes the 2021 Amarone della Valpolicella release; in keeping with his mentor's standards, Luca releases Amarone only during exceptional years, and each one is a limited release.

Fantastic GM, space, service team, chef, etc. Food was outstanding. Atmosphere and space is well designed adding to the vibrant ‘buzz’. It was well worth the trip.

First time exploring Fountain square and the restaurant experience makes the 30 minute drive worth it. Will be returning!

I was over visiting Indianapolis for a very quick visit & found Monti through a food blogger recommendation… best recommendation of the trip!! I am so glad I took the trip to this restaurant. I was dining alone & the way both the owner/host & my waitress made me feel totally at ease from the moment I walked in was incredible. Greeted with a shot of their vermouth of the day, then by a gorgeous glass of orange wine. The food was exceptional, every dish had such a depth of flavour!! I will be recommending anyone I know who’s in Indianapolis to make sure they visit this beautiful restaurant. & I will without a doubt be back!! Next time I want to try their pasta!!! They even gave me a cocktail on the house, just outstanding customer service. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!!

Held a first business dinner at Monti after eating there several times. The food was, as always fantastic. One of my guests, who considers himself quite a foody announced after dinner that he's eaten in restaurants all over the world, considers himself a foodie and felt this meal was one of the best he'd had anywhere. We were able to have great conversation and got closer to closing some of the business I brought them there to discuss. I will absolutely continue to be bring more business meetings to Monti in the future!

Our first, but not our last, visit to Monti’s was certainly a treat. Trying some of the dishes from each course, we discovered true Italian cuisine: zesty meatballs with sauce paired with the focaccia and caponata (eggplant and olive spread) proved especially tasty; gnocchi boscaiola and rigatoni alla gricia provided pleasure with the homemade pastas and very different sauces; the unparalleled highlight was the fresh branzino, so succulent and tender we were in awe! Chocolate “salami” and housemade lemincello closed the culinary tour with sighs! Celebrating a birthday proved fun with server Jesse, who explained dishes, offered suggestions, and was in constant attention to our needs. Although the back room was quite chilly at arrival, eventually it warmed as other patrons arrived. The menu isn’t large, but each course was excellent. We shall return. The overall vibe is very active and positive in this location, with lots of people-watching inside and out.

Beautiful atmosphere but........ I want to love the food but just can't. It's too strange of an adaptation on Italian to enjoy, and the pasta portions are generally small. Service is slow to the point of being ignored. Great place if you're wanting to impressive an eclectic friend. Terrible if you're wanting Italian food.
