   First time diners here and we can’t believe it’s taken us so long to find this place! The food was amazing. We tried as many things as we could; from the birra tacos, chicken wings, fried rice, chicken and waffles and fish and chips. Everything was outstanding. But our server was truly icing on our proverbial cake. She made our whole experience lovely. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered her opinions and was there when we needed her. And at the end brought us a delicious little “bit of love” for my husbands birthday, in the form of the butterscotch pudding. Which was to die for. And we couldn’t finish, so she let us take it home. We loved our experience and can’t wait to return!

   Excellent food! Pleasant chef who comes out to meet everyone. Service was quick and smooth. Drinks were ok. A bit pricey but on part for other places of this level.

   We absolutely loved our food and service. We were just in town for a few days and had it twice. We really loved the jalapeño crab Rangoon, Asian chicken dish, and even the house salad dressing had really great flavor. I left my sunglasses there and we ordered it on ubereats the night after and the sweet employees honored my request to put them in our delivery. Thanks guys!

   Great food. Very creative. The braised rabbit special was amazing...the taste, texture, spicy and presentation were spot on. The chef delivered the food herself and explained the dishes. She was fantastic and the food was great. Overall a wonderful experience.

   Delicious food. Great service. We sat outside which was quieter than inside. But overall a great experience in an out of the way restaurant in South Boston. It's worth the search if you want to experience an eclectic choice of food.

    The best feature of this spot is the food: simple, comforting, inventive. The service could have been a little better, and it was very loud. But everyone seemed to be having a really good time. Parking was also limited, but seriously the food made it all worthwhile. We will definitely recommend and go there again, even though we live quite a ways away.

    Went here for Mother's Day/brother's 40th birthday. Drinks and food were great. I was little nervous because the type of food was way outside my mom's usual taste but she loved her meal (the cajun grilled fish of the day). I really enjoyed the lamb meatballs and the jalapeno crab rangoons. Lastly, excellent service. Our server was great (unfortunately her name escapes me). Chef Asia brought out our entrees and she was super sweet and personable. We all agreed we would definitely return, especially me, as I have the fortune of it being within walking distance :-)

    It’s my neighborhood go to place, however even when I’m entertaining clients Moonshine is my first choice. Had 3 colleagues in from Europe, they wanted to try something different so Moonshine was the call. Started out with Asia’s famous Fried Chicken, Crab Rangoon and Korean Tacos. My guests were impressed excellent flavors with impeccable presentation. Main courses included Chicken Rice Bowl , Cajun fish of the day , Ron Swanson Enchiladas again perfectly balanced with wonderful service. Asia stopped by and always has something for the table to taste. Include Moonshine not just for a neighborhood place but also for any dining experience you may require. It’s that good.

    First time in, the menu is what caught my eye. There’s something for everyone! My husband, mother, & I ended up with tacos. My husband got the Korean ones with the Asian pear kimchi, while my mother & I split the gringo birria tacos that were on special. They were equally delicious! My daughter had the clam chowder & she enjoyed it. I will say, the star of the show for me was the Brussels sprouts. My goodness, they were the best I’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop eating them! Service was also great & the ambiance was groovy. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

    Insane food, INSANE. Hidden gem in boston. Ridiculously good food, the whole menu is incredible. You will NOT regret coming here. I am huge foodie and this is one of my favorites in boston.

    From the moment we walked in to the moment we left I can only say positive things. The service was friendly, helpful, prompt and kind. The food was incredible, the Chef's creations were tasty works of art. Highly recommend and will be coming back for sure, don't miss the wings - they are fall off the bone delicious.

    Moonshine is truly the best and most hospitable restaurant in all of Boston. Chef Asia and her crew are the most friendly restaurant staff and today as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, we received a complimentary plate of the best French toast sticks and jam we’ve ever had, not to mention the burger of the month was incredible as always.     This is me going on a rant.. so apologies. And please ignore the grammar.. In a rush. Asia Mei is the most amazing person. My favorite spot in Boston. Not because it’s the most extravagant place in Boston, but it’s the people (chef, servers, everyone that works there) and the amazing creative food. I’ve done 2 birthdays there, countless dinners.. and it’s always felt they strives to make you have the best possible experience possible. Genuine nice, food is next level every time, and the staff is always super accommodating. I brought my brother in for dinner who is visiting Boston for the first time He is doing low carb, and I kinda mentioned that to our lovely server, and she just was on a mission to make sure my brother could stick to his diet and have the most optimal food experience. She added a big piece of perfectly cooked steak on our side order of Brussels sprouts, made sure all condiment that may have carbs were put on the sides, got the most delicious lamb meatballs.. Oh and if you happen to celebrate your birthday there.. just don’t be surprised if Asia spoils you with the most delicious extravagant bday treats. Asia you keep killing it.
