We love going to Morgan’s in the Desert. They food is delicious and the service is outstanding. They have recently remodeled and the ambiance is inviting and warm. We have enjoyed both the regular menu and the Sunset menu - both are equally appealing. The chilled corn soup was amazing!

Great atmosphere with this open beam ceiling plaster wall 1920s field restaurant. Beautiful bar and a lovely piano bar as backdrop. Food was great service was very good.

We were looking forward to a nice evening out, but unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in the bar area, which felt a bit off for a planned dinner. While the table itself was fine, its placement next to a busy entrance meant constant foot traffic not exactly ideal for a relaxing meal. Service left much to be desired. While the assistants were attentive and quick to clear plates, the overall attentiveness was lacking. We requested salt and pepper and only received salt, and there was no follow-up or offer for additional drinks after the first round. On the bright side, the beef carpaccio was a standout, flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn’t quite match that level. The short rib was tender and tasty but arrived at room temperature. The crab cakes, though labeled an appetizer, were more akin to passed hors d’oeuvres in size and arrived cold. The mac and cheese was hot but also on the small side. Charging $8 for a modest bread service of a few rolls felt excessive. For dessert, the tiramisu was enjoyable and well-executed. All in all, it didn’t feel like a fine dining experience, either in service or presentation. As an aside, we noticed the bartender offering complimentary drinks to select women at the bar, telling them the drinks were “on him.” If you fall into that category, that might be a draw but it also added to the uneven tone of the evening. We likely won’t be returning, but if you’re just stopping by for a drink and a small bite, you may have better luck.

The food is overpriced for what you can find in the area. $53 for a pork chop, steaks are $66 for 8 oz filet. $17.50 for a one ounce pour of Knob creek bourbon. The server said the menu was 2 wks old and I’m wondering if they jacked up the prices for spring break and Coachella. The new bar was beautiful but we’ve been there four other times and I think we’re done. It’s very accessible for hotel guests though.
