We made a reservation for my husbands birthday. It was confirmed through open table . We got there and was asked if we made a reservation. I said yes and gave her my name and she couldn’t find it. I showed her my texted confirmation. We were seated by the restrooms and the open kitchen door. We sat there for 5 minutes before a server came by and asked if we had been helped yet. At that time they were apologetic and were very attentive.

I can be shy when it comes to sending back food. So when my barramundi came seared so hard I had to saw at it with a knife…I didn’t speak up. Veggies were cooked perfectly. Bed of rice was 100% bland, zero flavor. I chomped down the fish. It wasn’t entirely inedible. But I resent the reviews that raved about the fish dishes. Why didn’t I get what they got? In the end I was glad I didn’t send the dish back. A woman at the next table, seated right after us, sent back her dish—I think it was salmon. We finished our meal, paid, and left. Her party also finished. But she hadn’t yet received her dish. Not casting any shade on the very attentive service. But something needs to change back in that kitchen.

We absolutely loved our experience at Morrisons and with Opentable. We were walk in and booked literally 10 minutes before opening. Other walk ins were turned away because they were booked. YAY. The ambiance was great, the food was fantastic and the service was spot on. Our first experience with Morrisons was not this good so I was hesitant to go again. However, I am so so glad I gave it a second try. Great!! Music could be a little more upscale and ambiantic is my only suggestion. Maybe a Pink Martini radio type in the future.

The food was excellent. We shared beets and goat cheese salad which was tasty. My husband’s barramundi was cooked perfectly, and my elk was well executed. Allison, our server was friendly and attentive. The prices were much more reasonable than at resort restaurants. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The beet and goat cheese salad was superb, as was the salmon entree. The fish was perfectly cooked and the glaze was marvelous. My husband’s glass of wine was a generous pour. Our only disappointment was the brownie ala mode. The brownie was very slow in coming and was dry on the edges. Even had it not been dry, it was very overpriced at $12 for a smallish, ordinary brownie and a scoop of ice cream. The rice served with my fish could be improved upon. Pretty much just plain white rice. A pilaf would be better.

Made our reservation via Open Table. Arrive there after an hour drive. When they open the door they inform us they have had technical difficulties with no wifi and can only process cash. I comment that a call, text or email might have been nice to tell people before they make the drive and they said their wifi was out. Are they so inept not go to another location and use someone else's wifi to notify customers? Looooseers! Will not go back.

Booked this reservation a few days in advance. When we got to the restaurant there were signs on the doors saying they were closed. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner and we were in Mammoth for vacation with two young children so it was very inconvenient. An email or call to let us know our reservation was canceled would of been appreciated.

Happy hour at 5 pm is very loud. The server should have checked with in to make sure our food was ok. There was a mistake on the order. They brought my husband an empty plate thinking we were going to share instead of the Ahi special which he ordered. The waiter did not hear him say he wanted the special as the happy hour revelers were super loud. Had the waiter checked back in to see if we were ok it would have been resolved. 20 min later I mentioned that our order was missed and my food was cold. Long story. The ahi was comped as it should have been. The food was excellent but would have been more enjoyable if the waiter was more attentive.

Food was just ok. Expensive for the quality. Staff could use some education on self care when working with the public. I’m not one for writing bad reviews but we were not happy with our dining experience at Morrison’s.

Once again we had a very tasty, very satisfying meal at Morrison's. The menu is interesting and I always return to the pistachio pesto pizza--a dish I enjoy and can't find elsewhere. It's always a hard decision to make because so much of the menu is interesting and tempting.

Unfortunately the food was absolutely terrible. We sent back 3 of 4 meals. The manager was understanding and the waitress was nice but I wouldn’t ever go back.

Carne asada was the best I’ve ever had. It was actually grilled strips of steak cooked to medium rare perfection with a deliciously spicy chimichurri sauce. Allison was our server and she was fantastic, friendly yet highly professional and always had a big smile whenever she came to our table. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. PS - the maitre d’ was an impressive young fellow who we had the pleasure speaking with about all there is to enjoy and experience outdoors in Mammoth. Will definitely be back at Morrison’s.

We really enjoyed our experience at Morrison’s and for someone who is Celiac, I especially appreciate the knowledge of gluten intolerance. I had a delicious meal and did not get sick! I ordered the blackened shrimp and guacamole appetizer and filet mignon. Fantastic!

The restaurant is very pleasant, the food was very good and our waiter, David, also the general manager, was very personable, friendly, and accommodating. He even got the entire restaurant to sing happy birthday to my guest.

We had the Pistachio Pesto Pasta & it was excellent. Also had the homemade ice cream, delicious! When we’re back in Mammoth Lakes, would definitely come here again.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Morrison's! I found the restaurant to be that hard to find combination of nice but comfortable & casual. Since I was alone on this trip, I sat at the bar & chatted w the bartender, who kept me company. I was pleased w my steak dinner, finding it flavorful & plentiful. In short, I recommend Morrison's for 1 or 2 people who want a nice night out. It is suitable for a family, but will be more expensive than average to feed everyone. The atmosphere is quiet & well ordered, making it unsuitable for children who are unruly, noisy, rowdy or unmanaged. Leave your pets at home or in room.

At the front desk, a sign was posted to be kind, they just had an employee pass away. That seemed very inappropriate to post that. Our first reaction was to leave. The restaurant inside has changed very little in 50 years. It has a very strange layout very dark, & needs updating. The food was good, but not excellent. I think the pricing did not warrant the quality of food. I will not be returning & would not recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Mammoth Lakes for a higher end dinner. The food is excellent, especially the sea bass and salmon. Good pours on the drinks. Atmosphere is attractive. Service is excellent and friendly. Overall a good experience.

The service was excellent; however the food was disappointing for the price. For being advertised as one of the higher end restaurants in Mammoth, it started out questionably with wilted flowers on the table.

Each course was delicious. We had the hamachi tostada appetizer, it was excellent. Then the Soup was outstanding, a meatball, beef broth & chopped vegetables. The Baramundi was cooked perfect with a delicate sauce. Service was wonderful & we sat in bar area so the bar tender was our server.

Our food was okay but nothing memorable. When we made the reservation, we noted that it was our anniversary but nothing was mentioned when we were there. We have been there several times prior to this and were very happy with our food and service. This time we were disappointed.

Our server was Dave and he was very good. We started by sharing the carpaccio. It was described to us as a light portion, which it was. But still very very good. My wife had the filet mignon and it was outstanding. I had the waygu steak. It was good, but not as good as the filet. We will keep Morrison’s on our list for Mammoth restaurants.

Great service. Get an early reservation and see if you can get a seat at the window. A little pricey for the ribeye cut I got, but I suspect the whole mtn is pricey. Loved our cocktails; recommend the maple old fashioned. Ribs my wife had were juicy/tender, but the sauce is applied as an after-thought to the cooking, and was overly sweet. The post-consumer butcher paper table-cloth is interesting. It occurred to me afterwards, that they are probably trying to save thousands of gallons of water to not launder white linens.

We shared a wedge salad, thoughtfully split for us in the kitchen and delicious. Had a bottle of Malbec, very fairly priced. Then the beef stroganoff and branzino, both very good, and both of which we ended up taking most of home with us. Also nice rosemary bread. Good service by Pedro. Will definitely return!
