John Morrissey gave up the ghost while sitting at the old Adelphi Hotel bar. We dedicate this establishment to his spirited history, and we think he'd have a damn good night here with us.

We dined outside which was a nice atmosphere so I can’t speak of the noise level. Our waiter was friendly but new nothing of prices, specials and told us not to ask for anything special as the chefs were not accommodating to anything other than what the menu said. However they did give me veggies instead of fries. My friend said the lobster dumplings were delicious but her fish entree was good not great. I ordered steak medium well. It came rare. I sent it back. Waited and I don’t think they asked any fire to it. It was still red and rare. ! I said I can’t Eat steak rare like that and waiter took it off the bill . One entree and one app was $60. No drinks no dessert. The three women next to us said two of their entrees were cold and sent back. They were not happy either. We were going to eat their two nights in a row as we wanted to have outdoor covered area due to rain and not eating indoors due to COVID ..but opted to take out somewhere else and eat in the hotel. Menu sounded good but too many issues. The bristle sprouts they gave me though w the steak were very tasty.
A great place to dine. One day I will come back and probably bring the family instead of myself.
We love going to Morrissey's, especially for dessert. The lounge area is beautiful and cozy, and the service is always excellent.
Not a huge menu but nice twists on familiar items.
Best meal we have had in a longggg time! If/when we come back to Saratoga this will definitely be where we eat again!
Food was not up to standards. Did they get a new chef? For instance, we ordered Crushed & Crispy Potatoes, a dish we've ordered many times before. The potatoes, while edible, were neither crushed nor crispy. Big disappointment. While their prices continue to go up, the quality of their cuisine disappoints.
Amazingly tasty food and stellar presentation. Portions are very small for the price though.
Food was cold when it came out. Server took a very long time to come check in on us and bring cocktails/beverages to table.
Excellent menu and everything was delicious.
Great location. Great service. Nice selection of food choices.
You need to specify when reserving, if you want outside -there was a 35 minute wait when we were there Sunday at noon. Inside tables not too crowded.
I planned a 50th birthday dinner for my wife about a month in advance with several close friends. Our table was not ready when we arrived and then we were offered a table in the back with a 20 minute wait. We waited for over 45 minutes before being seated in what turned out to be a very noisy room with the acoustics. They were out of the Dover Sole (which several people had intended to order) and ran out of the carrot cake dessert. Had we been seated in time, I assume we would have been able to order before items ran out. Our starters took over half an hour to arrive, one of the entree items was totally forgotten and brought out at the end of our meal. There was a rather large bug (I took a picture) in my food which I showed to our server. We asked for a candle with my wife's dessert and they even failed to do that. They did not even offer to comp anything in exchange for the poor service and the bug. The establishment did not live up to expectations. Very disappointed as we drove over two hours for this occasion.
Me and my wife had a great evening out. We split an entree, we had 3 appetizers, two drinks each, and we split a dessert.
Sitting out on the patio at Morrissey's on a late September evening is one of the most pleasant things one can do at dinner time in Saratoga. Mostly it's quiet on that section of Broadway, and the wide sidewalk in front of the Adelphi affords amble space for one to feel comfortable apart from the pedestrians. The occasion semi blasting through town alongside the noisy bikers gunning their engines to assert their masculinity are , alas, part of the package, but nevertheless , overall, one is happy to be there. The food arrives, and is is excellent, perfectly prepared. Even the sushi is surprisingly well-prepared. The service is attentive but not intrusive. On other nights I have noticed the service was less than adequate but on a Tuesday, it was perfect.
always great experience and good food . Highly recommended
Our server Adam was excellent and very friendly. Explained all our questions regarding menu. We were seated in the room that was called the Blue Hen - beautiful glass enclosed room. Our dinners were so delicious. I can’t wait to come back for another awesome experience.
Walked in on Saturday afternoon and the maitre d told my wife with an attitude if you don't have a reservation we don't have any tables. We walked outside and checked opentable and what do you know they had a table available in 10 mins. What a jerk! Dude was too lazy to even check the computer.
Food was delish! Service seemed challenge, but it was def a busy time, so. Hotel is beautiful. Atrium is spectacular. But, in my opinion, someone who really enjoys a good Bloody Mary should assist in creating the Bloody Mary mix. Or...just use Zing-Zang. That was really the only negative.
Great experience. Very tasty cuisine, very friendly welcome (including for our dog), our waiter Adam was extremely pleasant and professional- we shall be back!
Fabulous Brunch of Bread Pudding French Toast and Lobster Cobb Salad (with quail egg) Excellent service by lovely Grace in the beautiful dining room🥰
Food was amazing definitely worth the wait and price!!! Great atmosphere drinks people!
Honestly the service was not good , it took about an hour to get our appetizers out and even longer to get the bread we ordered ( and paid for). Instead of accepting responsibility and just letting us know thst they were running behind the server just kept making excuses. Our entire mail took over 2.5 hours 🥴
Took an hour for food to arrive but it was delicious.
Food was mediocre with small portions for the price point. Ambiance was nice, so I would suggest meeting there for drinks, but not dinner.
Sadly this was not a great experience. The restaurant was quite short staffed. We had waffles, which were fine. They were served with a measured tablespoon of syrup and a few berries. No butter. Since we’d reserved and could not have confirmation that we’d been checked in for our reservation we worried that we’d be hit with an extra $40 charge to dispute.
Excellent food. Great service. Lovely evening
Spectacular in every way! The service was just outstanding. And the food is always spectacular.
Seating was great even asked which table we wanted. She accommodating. Food was delicious. Service was great.
Please don’t stop serving sushi so early when we had a reservation at the time you sat us.
It was Travers night but wait for appetizers /salads took forever and then everything came out at same time. All three fish dinners tasted good but came out less than room temperature. French fries were excellent.
It appeared they did not have enough staff—which we have seen at many service industries. Long delay in server coming to table. Long delay from when ordering drinks and their arrival. Same thing re/ food.
I'm not much of a food guy, but I've been to a lot of nice restaurants. Quite possibly the best meal I've had. The Dover sole was outstanding
Since Saratoga does not have a Chili’s or Applebee’s on Broadway so this could be your alternative but if you want finer dining you should choose 15 Church, Max London’s or go off Broadway for Danny’s Osteria.
Overpriced. Servers were overwhelmed as not enough staff. Felt bad for them. We were even told they might not be able to get us a drink as the bar was so far behind on orders.Food took a long time to come, was nothing special and expensive. Would not return. I’ve never written a review for any place, but this is so over-rated it’s necessary.
Overpriced food that lacks quality. You are paying for the location here.
Great dinner! Had the vegan dish (so interesting and unique) and my husband had the schnitzel. Totally delicious. Reasonably priced. Great drinks, lovely staff. Totally would go back.
Slow service. The lobster dumplings were just Oy. The sushi was excellent. My pasta was stuck together.
Fine food with cheerful service. Pasta and Baked Alaska especially superb.. We'll be back!
