Considering the Morton's brand name and the pitch of casual elegance, our experience last Saturday evening was below average. The steaks were good, but the rest of the food was average at best - except the buffalo chicken balls (they were good). The service for the wine was terrible - we were not shown the bottle at the table before it was open, then we were not given the option to taste the wine. After the server poured the first pour - we were left to put the rest ourselves. Also, we were dining with our 15 year old daughter and, as a minor, there were very few beverage options for her. So she stuck with water and there were a couple of times that we had empty water glasses for at least 10 minutes....Meanwhile, there were a couple of other tables that were receiving a lot of attention by the Restaurant Manager and other staff....For $100 per plate I would expect to feel more important to the team working there - we will not be dining at Morton's grille again.
Food was amazing and waitress was excellent what else can you ask for? Had to wait a while to cash out at bar before getting to our table once it was ready and they couldn’t transfer our drinks to our bill which was a little annoying. Otherwise great, steak was awesome and Mac and cheese was best I ever tasted. The bread you get before meal was awesome
We spent the weekend in Niagara. Dined at this restaurant on Friday night due to the convenient location inside our hotel. Came back Saturday night even though we had a multitude of other enticing options. The view is amazing, service was wonderful (Erin on Friday and Leesa on Saturday), and the food. Great steaks! The Mac and cheese and garlic green beans were so good. I really enjoyed the Bolognese. Good local wine selection, too.
Amazing food. Worth every dollar spent. Would go back to Niagara just for this restaurant.
The chef is extremely heavy handed with the salt. For the price, I would have expected a better cut of steak. The service was very quick, and friendly. Wine is sold by the bottle only.
Had an excellent time! Outstanding service from reception to leaving, our server, Leesa, was pleasant and completely customer focused.
Portions are very generous and the food was simply delicious.
We will be back!
Great spot. Our server Leesa F. Was fantastic. Great sense of humour, pleasant and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit
Very expensive for what you get
Server was very nice
Burned onion bun - it's low. Some wierd P.F. fee $15. WTF was that? Extra charge for side. Not worth that money. Just go the keg.
Atmosphere and view outstanding. Good service. Food very good but overpriced.
Food wasn’t bad but expected better for the price. The service was good and staff were pretty accommodating considering we made a few extra requests including a table switch.
This restaurant met our expectations. Food was very good. Service was very good. A little pricey but overall a good meal!
We were staying in the Marriott Fallsview and were planning on going to another restaurant but because of the weather we cancelled the other reservation and made one for here. Great idea as the ambiance was great. We sat in a booth with a view of the American Falls, but it got dark rather fast so the view was lights on the falls. Still a beauty though.
The steak I ordered, although it had a spice on it that was not on my favourite list, but was excellent in flavour and how it was cooked... Medium rare and tender. Can't ask for anything more. I had a baked potato that was warmed up, but even that was good. I am not a fan of the Keg's twice baked potato, but this one was not bad. Smothered it in butter and salt with bacon bits. Yummy!
Would we go back. Absolutely!
The view was spectacular, the ambience was comfortable and the staff was amazing. My steak was juicy and tasty, cooked just like I asked. I would definitely recommend Morton’s if your willing to spend a little more! Thank you to the staff at Morton’s for a memorable evening!
The whole experience was very good. We were seated at our reservation time, the waiter, Mike, was attentive but not bothersome and the food was served as we ordered it. We would return to this Morton's location again.
This was a Morton's Grille, not the full Morton's Steakhouse. The offerings looked reasonable, but the execution left a bit to be desired. We had a package at the hotel that gave us a $20 CDN coupon off your meal. We would not go back if this was not offered in the future.
I had an excellent New York strip. Perfectly cooked. The house Negroni was very good and the Key Lime pie' outstanding.
Beautiful falls view. Filet and Smokey Joe's Mac n cheese was perfect! Excellent service.
There is always a fine line between a slow service and a relaxing dinner but this restaurant still needs a little refinement in their methods. Problem number 1 is that they had only one bartender and it took 15 minutes plus to obtain our drink order. While January in Niagara Falls is certainly off season it was a Saturday night. Problem number 2 it took over 20 minutes between the completion of our salads and the arrival of our entree's. No one ever stopped by to indicate if their was a mix up or some other issue delaying the meal. Problem number 3 when we brought this to the attention of one of the manager's his response was borderline rude and certainly not customer friendly.
Overall the food was good but not great. Three of our 4 steaks were cooked properly with the fourth being over cooked. Our server did follow up to make sure everything was cooked properly unfortunately it was before anyone had even cut into their meal. The sides (Asparagus, Au Gratin Potatoes) were very good and were a nice complement to the steaks.
The restaurant has a nice view of the Falls and with a little refinement of their service this would be a very nice place to spend an evening while in Niagara Falls
The restaurant is nice, comfortable, our server (Mike) was great, friendly, attentive. I ordered a filet, butterflied and cooked medium well. My husband ordered a NY strip, rare. His steak was medium, one of my pieces was perfect, the other more medium/medium rare. Considering it's a steak house, and very expensive, they should be able to get this right. We stay in this hotel every January for our anniversary, but we won't go to this restaurant again.
Service is a Morton’s hallmark at all the Mortons we’ve been too and this location certainly upheld the high service standards. This location is a Morton’s Grill, a slightly scaled down version of Morton’s with a limited but adequate menu. The view of the Falls is spectacular especially from the window tables. We were staying at the Marriott where the restaurant is located so parking was not an issue. There appears to be adequate parking even for the busy season. I suspect that in the busy season this is a very busy venue and reservations are a must. Easily done on Opentable. At check in the hotel gave us promo vouchers redeemable at the restaurant For a great dinner with a great view and exceptional service this is the place. Prices were about the same as any other good restaurant in the area.
Waitress brought us the wrong meals but was prompt to correct it. Ribeye steaks were tough and without flavor. Upon leaving we were billed for our meals as well as the ones that were wrong. Over all a bad experience.
The food here was pretty good. We didn't have any problems with our food. Desert was great I had an amazing cheese cake. The prices for the food were a bit high but the view from the restaurant and the ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic.
What a great night! I was a little nervous making reservations because the menu prices were not posted online but was happy to find it very affordable. The food was delicious, the service (we had Luke) was top notch! It really was high quality food and service at a reasonable price. Of course the view of the falls is magnificent. We will visit next time we are in town.
French onion soup was good, chopped house salad wasnt bad, salmon arugula was good, rib eye steak was not good, requested for medium rare recieved it as medium well server tried to say it was the lighting so it may appear to look medium well. Sent it back to the kitchen second piece came and it was rare! Server even said she rushed bringing it out! For a steak place i was pretty dissappointed that they could not cook steak and for the server to blame the lighting and not just bring it back was even worse! Presentation of the food was minimal!
Our Sevice was excellent, the waitress was so engaging and so genuine. The food was excellent, bread not so good.
We went for my daughters 13th Birthday. Right off the bat everything was good. They accommodated our seating request and the server was right over. We had a couple questions regarding the menu which were answered. After that I began to feel rushed into making a dinner choice. The choice I made (Ribs) I was told they were out. Dinner service had only been going for 2 hours and they were out of a very popular item with 3 hours to go. Restaurant was only half full. When dinner arrived 2 of the 3 ($50) steaks were not cooked right. We asked for pink through and they were more Blue through. Waited about 8 to 10 min for the server to return in order for it to be correct. They also forgot to prepare one of the 2 sides we ordered. We did not get to eat together as a family as my husband dinner was getting cold while they corrected the error. He was almost done by the time our dinner returned. After all this was corrected we never saw our server again till we were finished. I noticed she was now serving on the other side of the restaurant. We did order a desert for my daughters birthday which took over 20 min to come out. It was a slice of pie. Now the plate was done nicely but not 20 min wait. Also the problem was with our server now working the other side of the restaurant we were forgotten. I was watching and she finally noticed we did not have our desert. I feel when you are paying $50 min a steak and $12 per side you should have a fair bit better services and attention. Overall I was not really happy and did feel we would not return as I was displeased. There were no apologies for the delay or that items were forgotten or that we were forgotten. When it came time to pay the bill the server stood there watching us. It made it very uncomfortable and again we felt were under pressure.
Our experience was not so good. Our party was for 17 people and the staff was not prepared to serve a large group. Even the restaurant offering only a pre set menu for new years eve (which was very expensive by the way) it was a terrible experience. The food was great but the service did not math with the concept of the restaurant.
Some itens of the pre set menu was not available, sparkling wine included was served after midnight, kids meals was served over than 1 hour, not friendly servers...
It is a pitty and unacceptable because the restaurant has an amazing view and tasteful food. However they need to improve the sevice urgently.
We had a wonderful meal on New Year's Eve we chose the last sitting. Our server was very professional and helpful regarding wine selection & food suggestions. There was 4 of us Tuna Poke was amazing 2 of us ordered it I would order it again. The beet salad was great got ro try the french onion soup delicious. Had the rib steak cooked to perfection thr portion was big but took some to go. Had rhe white chocolate bread pudding just delicious one of the best I ever had. They served champagne at midnight & was able to see the fireworks. The while evening was excellent. I would return had lovely view of falls even though we were not right by the water.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!
4 people, spent over $700.00 for what should be the funnest evening, New Year's Eve at the falls. We arrived at 9:30pm, had to request our desert to go at 11:45pm, so we could take in the fireworks. there was almost a 45mins wait between each course ( 4 course) , the portion size were ridiculous . No extras like hats or anything to bring in the New Year. The table next to us had 3 kids under the age of 6 that were crying. What they serve us & the price, we could of went to any restaurant in the falls for 1/2 the price & have entertainment.
I should be credit for this amount of wasted money & time. It has been my worst experience ever
