I bought my out-of-town guests from London to Mott 32. They enjoyed the food, service and ambience. We had a great time.
Best Chinese in Vancouver! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely amazing. Well worth the price! The short rib was my favorite
We expected more elegant place.
Perhaps we are a bit old for this type of restaurant.
As for the food, overall it was too sweet.
However the steamed fish was very fresh and the meat was crunchy.
The girl who served us was so friendly and gave us the kind suggestions.
Solid wine list. Robert, the sommelier, really knows his stuff and helped us choose the perfect wine to go with dinner. Fantastic authentic Chinese fine dining: we asked our server to recommend every dish based on our preferences and each selection was great.
Been here at least five times and love the food! Prices are high, but the food quality is superb as is the service and attentiveness the staff place on their guests. Excellent selection of wines and sommelier is extremely knowledgeable. Very personable staff and overall excellent experience. Thank you!
Peking Duck was very dry. Only the smoked cod was the best cuz there’s good flavors in it. If you want high class dim sum try Chef Tony in Richmond instead.
Food are delicious and the waitress is the best ever. Highly recommended
A little bit pricey. But enjoy the great service and atmosphere there.
Was expecting the restaurant to be more formal but that is always a stretch to find in Vancouver. For a high cost restaurant, there was too many track pants. Great dynamic vibe otherwise.
However, it's a great restaurant, and the service was outstanding.
One of the best date night restaurants in Vancouver.
Awesome Peking duck 🥰🥰
Every bite was perfect. We recommend the shortribs as well as the lobster dumplings. This is easily the best high-end Chinese food in Vancouver. Also, they have a great wine list and a nice selection of fresh cocktails.
In awe! Best food and service! Phillip and the Wine sommelier were amazing!!! Vancouver is an amazing city and this is def a slice of amazing!!! Will recommend to all my friends visiting! YUM!!! The duck is AH mazing my taste buds are still screaming!! Delicious!!
Fabulous Peking duck
Good service and good food
We were in town off a cruise ship for a few days and looking for a great Chinese restaurant. Everything about our experience was fantastic. We weren’t quite sure about what to order and our server was extremely helpful. (And didn’t make us feel dumb) The atmosphere was really special. Such a beautiful restaurant. Very elegant and upscale but not stuffy in the least. Also our sommelier Mark was excellent! He made a perfect wine recommendation and was also a great resource for local travel advice. I’d highly recommend Mott 32
Services very prompt. Great dim sum
Food was ordinary high quality Chinese. SERVICE FANTASTIC
Horrible service at this place , this was my third time and I will not return
We were amazed at a restaurant with such a great reputation; would be so poor. The food was truly Ho Hum, and expensive. There were 3 parties with very young children running out of control all over the restaurant. The sever was good but he could not make up for the overall unsatisfactory experience
Terrible experience ( beside de amazing food and great service) me made a reservation at 9 pm without knowing that the kitchen staff leaves at 9:45. From the moment we arrived we were preassured to order the food because of the staff was leaving our dinner was rushed and uncomfortable. It a very nice place with a very high rate and the experience should worth it. It was disrespectful the fact that we had to dinner in 1 hour because the kitchen staff was leaving... we were expecting to have a good time. My suggestion is to let this know to your clients and if the staff will leave then don’t take reservations after 8pm, this kind of behavior is from a cheap restaurant liken P.F. Chang’s...
Hope you take this into consideration.
I think they have by far the best Chinese food I have had in Canada. The duck was to die for. Definitely an amazing place and an amazing experience.
Wow. Just wow. The food was incredible. The Peking Duck is definitely worth the wait, be sure to call ahead to reserve one. We got lucky that they had one available. The dumplings are also amazing. The quail egg dumpling was the favorite of the table - unique and absolutely delicious. Excellent cocktails too. Exceptional old fashioned and some really brilliant unique cocktails as well. The ambiance was lovely, very quiet when we were there but it was midday on a Sunday so could be more boisterous on a weekend evening.
Excelente atención y servicio sobresaliente, delicioso todo.
Be careful. 2 glasses of fair “house” wine was $90.00. They did not inform us of the price. Food was not worth the price also.
Beautiful restaurant but very noisy.
Easily the best Chinese in Vancouver!
Food was on the higher priced end, but had good flavors and great presentation. We ordered the duck with the crispy fried rice and it was perfect.
OpenTable reservations are apparently only for patio seating according to the restaurant.
Food was excellent! However price was high and portions were very small.
Peking duck is not that good anymore. Everything else was still good.
We went for our anniversary, they made it a very special night for us, with their very friendly staff. Would highly recommend to all.
Mott 32 was an excellent restaurant with unique decor and exceptional Food. Great service and excellent Wine and Cocktail Menu. We were a party of 4 and everyone loved it.
Our experience at Mott 32 was unforgettable. The restaurant has a wonderful feeling inside with a rounded seating area and open kitchen. The service was excellent with Sommelier Mark Ryan. He put together a menu with wines that exceeded our expectation. We ordered our first Peking duck with the most wonderful hot and sour dim sum and bbq pork appetizer. All the flavors with the wine pairings and attentive service made for such a memorable evening. The mango soup with their exclusive Italian Moscato Rosa dessert wine was the perfect way to end our evening We wanted the best Chinese in Vancouver and we found it!
Menu posted here is different from the one in the restaurant. The manager refused to honor the advertisement/promotion they posted.
Excellent high end Chinese food
As good as always
What a wonderful place for great food and the service is top notch. We plan to go back again when we are next in Vancouver.
The table we got was kinda small for two persons. We ordered an Apple wood roasted pecking duck , two appetizers and another two hot dishes. We weren’t able to put all dishes and a teapot on the table. Tea cups were put at the table edges. Additionally some dishes had been put at food station close to our table. Our server helped to spilt these dishes in a small portion and refill them for us once we finished eating.(Servers were super nice. )
The overall dining experience wasn’t as great as before since the dining table was very crowded. Hopefully Mott 32 can arrange a bigger table when they see customers pre ordering a whole pecking duck.
A bit pricy could be 20% less in our opinion.
The wine was a bit overpriced
But we live the restaurant
The food is very pricy, good the the experience.
The service I received is exceptional.
Decent restaurant with exceptional service, the servers made me feel very comfortable. The duck met my expectation, tasted good. Also their "crepe" for wrapping the duck meat was exceptional, super thin and warm but won't break. It's the best I ever had, commenting from someone came from Beijing. However, the chef who sliced the duck in front of me took longer time than I expected, I went to qjd restaurant at Toronto last month their chef does it better.
If it were just the duck I would rate the meal 5 stars, but the 5 of us ordered many other dishes, like the quail egg siumai, the sea coach and chicken soup, eggplant, Chinese brussel sprouts, and the beef rib. All of those are just soso...I might want to order the beef rib for a second time, but the rest, no. Eggplant is very oily and disgusting...many other restaurants in Vancouver do better than that.
Spent 300 before tax, I say it worth it. I would also suggest to friends, but I probably don't want to spend my own money to dine there again.
