Overall good experience, decent food , great service.
Peking duck was wonderful. One of the best meals we have ever had. Very good and attentive service. Restaurant was nice, but quite loud. Overall great experience, we will be back!
Great experience. Suggest calling one day ahead and ordering the duck. Adequate for two people. Fantastic!
Enjoyed the service that mott 32. Our server was polite and had great suggestions on what to order due to not having a dish we wanted. The other employees who we interacted with were warm and welcoming as well. The food was perfect. It’s a nice twist on Chinese food. We brought our friend who isn’t adventurous with food and was afraid they wouldn’t enjoy dishes but they ended up eating everything we had ordered. Overall great experience would dine here for special occasions
You have to really think about what yoj gonna order... Last time came here I ordered many dishes thag I don't really like which left me a bad impression about motto 32. This time everything was perfect. I enjoyed my 22ed birthday. Very good place for date, business meal and special occasion. A little bit pricy but I think everything worth it! Good materials, nice service and perfect environment.
The food was very good but the restaurant is very loud, to the point that talking and being heard was difficult. There were large groups of people close by, which made this problem even worse. There was a distinct smoky smell in the restaurant, that was overpowering. When I asked about it, the server stated they were having problems with their H VAC.
The service was very good, including the sommelier who had great suggestions about accompanying wines.
Best restaurant in Vancouver. Excellent.
Elegant spin to the usual dim sum.
Service is way better than a few years ago when it was just opened. Server is very knowledgeable this time.
Very overpriced. Food was only mediocre. Would not recommend.
We had a great dinner! The sommelier was helpful in every aspect from drinks, to food, to how duck is made. The ambiance was great and we enjoyed the decor as mush as the food. We will be returning again next time we are in Vancouver!
Outstanding. I ate somethings that I thought I didn't like and I loved it. The service was terrific. Eva E. was great at recommending certain food and we loved every morsel. The best chinese food ever. We would have licked the bowls!!! We will diffently be back.
Great food, fantastic service - My go to Vancouver Dim Sum
Some dishes were a little on the salty side.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. This restaurant is the only one that can offer you an experience of real East meets West Chinese cuisine. They have traditional Chinese style dishes as well as fusion Chinese. My favorite dishes are the Fried rice in fish soup, the steam grouper, lobster mapo tofu and beef rib.
This was my birthday. I just invite two of my best friend and shared dinner with them over there. Fantastic food and experience! Will definitely recommond :)
Poor service. Been at Mott 32 many times. Waiter poured half glasses of wine because that was what was left in the bottle according to him. It did not stop here...
Peking duck must get, needs preorder a day in advance. Dim sum more hit and miss. Great service and decor. Get a premium tea.
The service was terrible for a restaurant of this caliber. The drinks never came out on time. You had to repeatedly ask for a waiter. The food came out in the complete wrong order. It’s a wonderful setting and the food was good when it finally arrived but I would not recommend this if you’re looking for top-notch service.
It was so good! Since we had our wedding dinner here it's been almost two years, although the staff still remembers us as well as what dishes and cocktails we liked the most. We don't usually write reviews, but experience you get in more 32 is so exceptional, we hope everyone get to experience it.
Food, service, wine all excellent and made for a memorable business lunch meeting
We had a great meal as always ! Since they have an extensive menu it’s nice to try new dishes . Never disappoints!
Absolutely the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Short ribs and pork were to die for. Service excellent. Only negative was it was next to Trump Tower which I could not stand being anywhere near that TRUMP name.
First, despite boasting of its excellent service, no one came to speak with us for more than 20 minutes after we selected our choice of water. Then the food was mediocre at best; eg, the stir fry was oily and underseasoned. The chicken was also non-discript, and the cocktails were also below expectations. Overall, it was definitely not worth the cost.
The Service is definitely 5 stars . Everything is served family style, so we tried little bites of many different things. Sweet and sour pork was a huge hit as was the dinner dim sum. The smoked sea bass not as popular at our table. Next time we will try noodles or fried rice. The restaurant is nice, but not too stuffy. I will mention the service is really good.
Food was excellent but timing in the service extremely poor. Had preordered a Peking Duck that needs some time for preparation, announced 45mn, but came on the table only 30 minutes after our arrival in the restaurant, all together with the cocktails ordered as aperitif, and the starters, and the wine.
Had to send back the Peking Duck asking to keep it warm in order for us to have a chance to enjoy our aperitif, then the starters, in good order.
Obviously when time came to call for the reheated Peking Duck, it was ok but not as it is intended to be.
We let the Maître D know about this extremely poor timing. Reply was put on Chinese tradition which is to eat all dishes at the same time. May be right for fast food every day meal, but definitely false for high end meals as this Westernized restaurant intends to serve.
Manager, maître D, and waiters need a good refreshment from a culinary school to learn how to keep an eye on their customers experience and deal properly with a multi course service timing.
Extraordinary food. There is plenty of good dim sum and Chinese food in Vancouver, so the bar is high. But this is something special. Highly recommend you try duck, iberico pork, smoked cod, anything with truffles or black garlic.
I bought my out-of-town guests from London to Mott 32. They enjoyed the food, service and ambience. We had a great time.
Best Chinese in Vancouver! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely amazing. Well worth the price! The short rib was my favorite
We expected more elegant place.
Perhaps we are a bit old for this type of restaurant.
As for the food, overall it was too sweet.
However the steamed fish was very fresh and the meat was crunchy.
The girl who served us was so friendly and gave us the kind suggestions.
Solid wine list. Robert, the sommelier, really knows his stuff and helped us choose the perfect wine to go with dinner. Fantastic authentic Chinese fine dining: we asked our server to recommend every dish based on our preferences and each selection was great.
Been here at least five times and love the food! Prices are high, but the food quality is superb as is the service and attentiveness the staff place on their guests. Excellent selection of wines and sommelier is extremely knowledgeable. Very personable staff and overall excellent experience. Thank you!
Peking Duck was very dry. Only the smoked cod was the best cuz there’s good flavors in it. If you want high class dim sum try Chef Tony in Richmond instead.
Food are delicious and the waitress is the best ever. Highly recommended
I loved this place! It was some of the best, authentic Chinese food I've ever had. Extensive menu, almost overwhelming, with many exotic choices. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful - making excellent suggestions. All of them were delicious. Hard to choose a favorite.
Steamed buns with a flavorful pork filling. Dumplings with quail egg and black truffle on top.
It's pricey - but I'd definitely go back and recommend.
A little bit pricey. But enjoy the great service and atmosphere there.
Was expecting the restaurant to be more formal but that is always a stretch to find in Vancouver. For a high cost restaurant, there was too many track pants. Great dynamic vibe otherwise.
However, it's a great restaurant, and the service was outstanding.
One of the best date night restaurants in Vancouver.
Awesome Peking duck 🥰🥰
Every bite was perfect. We recommend the shortribs as well as the lobster dumplings. This is easily the best high-end Chinese food in Vancouver. Also, they have a great wine list and a nice selection of fresh cocktails.
In awe! Best food and service! Phillip and the Wine sommelier were amazing!!! Vancouver is an amazing city and this is def a slice of amazing!!! Will recommend to all my friends visiting! YUM!!! The duck is AH mazing my taste buds are still screaming!! Delicious!!
