   Perhaps it should have been a warning when we were asked to confirm our reservation via text, email and then by a call from the staff. Although the front side (host/hostess) was well staffed and attentive, our polite server disappeared for long stretches of time. We were seated at 12:30 and didn't get our check until almost two hours later. We had young children in our party and having them wait so long was difficult. The portions were modest and the food mediocre. Despite it being Mother's Day, when crowds should be expected, they ran out of monkey bread even though the restaurant was not crowded while we were there. The man walking around with the falcon unsettled some in our party thought he was polite. Maybe this was a difficult day for the staff, but it became a bad and expensive one for us.

    Steak Tartare rocked, exquisite presentation. Corn soup smooth as silk. Cowboy Ribeye med- rare OMG. Roasted carrots new on menu to die for. Crispy potatoes delicious as always

    One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. My husband rarely gives high reviews of food and he was raving about everything he ate. The best pork I have ever eaten. The food was beyond yummy and looked so beautiful too. We are going back tonight. I want to try everything on the menu. The restaurant has such a nice atmosphere and is unique.

    The restaurant is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Phoenician pool area, We chose to be seated out doors and it was a fun view of the pool. The people watching was great and the misters provided a cool environment. The food was good, not great, I had the mushroom flat bread and my husband had the eggs benedict. Portions are medium to small, and the quality of the food is above average. Our wait staff were friendly and professional. Over all it was a good experience.

    We enjoyed this place for the atmosphere and the food. However the service was awful. A middle aged woman named Shelly did not take care of us and had an attitude if we flagged her down. My sister had foil in her Barbacoa tacos and no one ever came to check it out. I had to get up, walk inside and locate someone to help us. Our drinks were empty the whole meal so I asked to see the manager to report the poor service and it took them 10 mins to locate him. The lack of service ruined an otherwise good experience.

    The service was outstanding, the food was great, especially the shrimp and grits dish. The noise/ music from the pool was a little annoying, but otherwise a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a good meal

    A lovely setting with a very average dining experience. Food was below expectation for a resort of this caliber. Service was adequate, certainly making no effort to enhance our dining experience. Dessert, chocolate cake, was so dry it was inedible for $12.00. The four of us, who all live locally, decided we will not be going back.

    I will start with the beautiful grounds on the property. Next the staff was friendly and very professional. The food would be hard to beat, especially considering her in a fair price. Or one regret was that we were not seated closer to the beautiful outdoor scenery as there were multiple open tables that would’ve provided that exceptional experience. We will return.

    Tom and I are staying at The Phoenician for the fourth time. We enjoy dining at Mowry & Cotton for our first night after a long day of airplane travel. The appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, and cocktails ALWAYS are perfectly delicious. The wait staff are professionals - attentive and courteous. Make this a must dining stop whenever you are in Scottsdale!

    Lovely patio with the added fun of a falconer and his hawk keeping small birds away from the tables! Excellent food — flatbread large enough to share between two plus really interesting flavors in the apple, fennel guacamole. Thoroughly enjoyed everything.

    Although it wasn’t busy, theee were many miscues. Hot bread was cold (x3!). Wine ordered for dinner was brought to table only once we had finished eating so we sent it back. Food was good but for this price they need to up the ante.
