Generally good with great service. One person in our party asked them to turn down the music because it was hard to talk over and was addressed immediately. Our guests really enjoyed their meals (salmon and buger) but my steak was tough and hubby's chicken Madeira pasta was average. Would go again because when anything was brought to their attention, they immediately addressed it and service was excellent. Very accommodating.

Food and service was fabulous. I had beef vindaloo as always, its my very favourite, I don’t even look at the menu anymore. A glass of wine was $19, I think that’s way overpriced. Kind of ruined my favourite restaurant in Barrie. We use to go and have a couple of drinks there occasionally, but they have priced themselves too high.

It was our anniversary and we have let them know and yet not even a congratulations. It’s our tradition to go every year for our anniversary and our kids look forward to it cause we love the food and the service but this time it wasn’t great. Our waitress seem like she hated her job, whenever she came to see how we were doing she didn’t even stop she was more like asking while she was walking. The dessert part it’s always been my kids fav part, were they bring the ice cream and pour the hot water so the smoke will come, she didn’t do that she just brought it. We decided we won’t come back to this moxies.

I made a reservation through Open Table, only to discover that my efforts netted us a table by the washroom 🤪 The food and service were fantastic, but the noise was simply atrocious! My friend and I ate in silence because we simply couldn’t hear each other speak. I looked up on the ceiling, but couldn’t see any acoustic tiles. You need some, or else a shrilling whistle to tone everyone down. Pretty much ruined our evening 😩

There was a nice ambiance in the dining room, the service was friendly and efficient. The food had good portions without being too big and it was very nicely presented and tasty. As it was my birthday I had a piece of key lime pie that my husband and I split which we both enjoyed and the amount was deducted from our bill. This is one of our favourite places to eat out and in 12-15 visits over the years every Mixies location has been consistent. Definitely recommended.

I’ve been to moxies a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. My favorite dish is the salmon with lemon and wild rice. The atmosphere is super nice and cozy, and I think the prices are decent for everything that is offered.

Most importantly, the venue is spacious and very clean and attractive with delightfully accommodating and knowledgeable servers. We dined outside and it was well protected from the sun most of the time we were there. The menu is very varied and each of us enjoyed our food. This was a lunch occasion so we ate lighter meals. I cannot comment on the dinner fare. As for value, it is acceptable for these times. Understanding the challenges restaurants face right now, it is still difficult to eat out as often as we would like due to the cost of doing so. When the bill ends up at nearly $50 (including tax and tip) for chicken tenders and a salad bowl, you have to question the value a little bit in terms of how often you can justify doing it. All of that said, we had a very nice lunch, an excellent server and left with a very good impression of Moxies in Barrie.

The food was just OK, definitely overpriced for the quality. The steak wasn't tender, the vegetables weren't hot and the mashed potatoes covered more of the plate than I would have liked. The dessert for two was so small, one person could have eaten more. We won't be back.

Good food and great service. Our server and your manager took the time for each plate to ensure our child’s allergy concerns were checked. Staff was attentive and genuine. We were visiting Barrie for just a couple nights and so glad we came to Moxies. Made our vacation dinner amazing. Thank you. We will definite try other Moxies when we get home.

I have a fabulous experience every time I go to Moxie’s in Barrie. My favorite dish is the salmon, it is the best salmon that I have ever had and this time for drinks I choose a negroni which was delicious.

We ordered calamari and it was served almost immediately. A very short time after we got our entrées. I like to be finished the appetizer before getting the entree. Food was tasty, server was great.

Food was very good. Service was excellent and manager was very accommodating to our special seating requirements. Lots of unique vegetarian options too

there were 4 of us. We started with Nachos which were excellent. 2 people had the rack of ribs which they very much enjoyed....one person had a burger with gluten-free bun which she enjoyed and I had the 7 oz sirlion which was perfectly grilled. the service was amazing! thank you! we will be back.

Service was great, food was good and quick BUT- This is the third time that as soon as I leave I get an email to say my reservation has been canceled by the restaurant-I have to call in to this restaurant every time-wait for a manager and explain -always save my receipt and check in on line on social media to prove I was there!!! Total waste of my time-why, when you have the technology to just do it right the first time? Once-a mistake, twice, bad on you-three times ?-a theme!! OpenTable to discuss with restaurant why this keeps happening-they can see it in my history but I suggested OpenTable place a check in confirmation that can’t be altered once checked. If it looks like I missed the reservation, the restaurant should get penalized for erroneously canceling reservations. Fair is fair!
