This is the second time we’ve dined in the main dining room, and both times the length of time it took for service to be provided was extensive. Tonight I received my food, before my drink - after sitting at the table, with two kids, for over 30 minutes. I originally had to return to the host stand to ask if we even had a server. The restaurant seemed short staffed and it was apparent in the wait times & poor service. I also find it unacceptable that it’s common practice to charge full price ($14 for the kids cheeseburger, plus $1 for a gluten free bun, and $2 for veggies when my daughter, who has celiac disease, modified her meal to a cheese bun and veggies. You do not provide a gluten free fryer yet charge to modify her side. She didn’t even have meat on her bun, yet we were still charged full-price. When I asked to speak to the Manager, our sever refused to get he/she & responded that this is what the manager told her to charge. It’s totally unacceptable! I also paid full-price for my drink that arrived over 30 minutes late, even after I had to track down another server to get it. Literally the worst service I’ve ever experienced. We will not be returning & I will be sharing my experience with the Calgary Celiac Association so no other customers with dietary concerns (not a choice!) waste their time & money at this establishment.

Moxie’s is a favourite place to gather with family and friends. Our small group of senior friends had a delicious lunch. I thought a booth, that I reserved, would be a quiet option for 5 as 2 couldn’t make the lunch date. Upon arriving we were told we couldn’t have one of the booths. So sitting at a round table would of been enjoyable if the music wasn’t so loud. I was told the music could not be quieter as it was pre set. We as a group will not return as the reason we gather is to catch up with each other. We will source a quieter space. Note: the Moxies in RedDeer is much quieter.

Aside from it being rather noisy and difficult to hear one another, the rest of the experience was amazing! Our server was perfect. Didn’t hover but still noticed when we needed things. Empty drinks were quickly replaced with fresh ones. The food was delicious too! We chose this restaurant for the many vegetarian choices as one of our friends is vegetarian. We chose a veggie appy to share before our meals and the flavour did not disappoint! We all loved it! We will definitely be back!!!

The food was subpar, the lighting was too dark that had to use cell phone flashlight to see menu. The waitress took too long to bring the bill 25 mins. Very disappointed

Our server Emma S made our girl’s Nite dinner, spectacular. Her food and wine recommendations were on point. Emma’s customer service was OUTSTANDING! My friend and I could have chatted with her all nite. The food was fantastic, but honestly, Emma made our evening for sure. She ended the meal by bringing me a birthday dessert which was the icing on the cake! Great atmosphere, wonderful food, and exceptional staff! Will definitely returning!

Disappointed with the French Dip; should have clued in when the menu mentioned it’s served on a Pretzel Bun(German) rather than a crusty French roll. Beef was on the dry side served with glops of mustard. The dip was not “au jus” but a slightly thickened gravy. My guest had the Poke Bowl which was nicely presented but lacked any good flavour. Tuna ratio to the rest of the bowl was rather small. Will we return? Probably not. Lots of better options in Calgary.

As always food and service was fantastic. Wanted to give special acknowledgement to the hostess who lent my 3 kids her personal coloring markers so they had something to do during dinner. The food and service were terrible! 2 out of 3 appetizers were hot, the 3rd was cold and we had to send it back. The side vegetable (squash) was salty, 2 out of the 3 ribs were dry, and one 1 was saucy. We ordered a $157 champagne bottle that the server couldn’t open. Took her while, then she finally took it to the back to have it opened. She came out with an opened bottle of champagne!!! Took the fun away. She then left the bottle on the table, and didn’t offer to have it chilled in an ice bath, like other restaurants would. This was a special birthday celebration and the special night was ruined. The manager did provide us with “complimentary” desserts but when would we use it if we can’t trust to go back.

Had a lovely booth and service was good. Manager came by to apologize for the wait and said they would comp desserts for us. Very much appreciated. Food was excellent. Beef vindaloo had just the right heat for my husband and my chicken alfredo was creamy and quite large with lots of tender chicken.

we saw our server 2 times during our dine in experience. We had to flag another server down after waiting 15 minutes to get our bill and pay. My husband ordered a steak that was tough and had zero flavor- I ordered the cobb salad with chicken. The chicken was so salty that I couldn't eat it and my daughter had the kid's salmon and same thing it was so salty. I usually love Moxies but I won't be coming back.

Service was slow from order to food hitting the table for a not busy Saturday evening. Paid online with QR code on table and got confirmation of payment a few minutes before we got up to leave. Server chased us out to the parking lot saying I had not paid. Showed the app and also my bank record to show my payment was completed. After walking back in and standing for a few minutes the server came back and said it’s paid and walked away.
