Portions are huge but dinner was delicious. Only wished it came out hot and not luke warm. You could tell the salmon on top of the pasta with lemon & asparagus was under the heat lamp and then my moms salmon was undercooked that’s why only 4 stars. My cocktail was awesome! Service very good & friendly.

When I first walked into the restaurant the person at the front wasn’t very welcoming. Me and my family were seated outside and our server was Danika. We’re glad that we had Danika D serve us because she was very kind and helpful. It was also great that she was bilingual. The food was the delicious and the portions was just right. Would definitely come here again :)

A very pretty girl you would expect to at least smile and welcome you at Moxies did not. My first impression was that she was either bored or tired. I was having dinner with a friend who would be arriving a little late. So I sat at the table with 2 menus and waited. Waited. Waited. No service. There was a waiter who kept checking my way...was he waiting for the 2nd guest to arrive? Seemed like it but I wasn't sure. I decided to leave. The girl at the other restaurant we picked nearby smiled. I guess she wasn't tired or bored.

Unfortunately, not more than average food. Pseudo-upscale place, with an excess of staff but still very slow service. One can sense the affectation on the hostesses' and servers' demeanor, as it would count as a differential for the resturant. The same is noticeable on the decor, trying to mimic an upscale restaurant, but falling short looking like a fake film set. A touch overboard to my taste. As mentioned, the food is average at best.

Family dinner - the waiter had patience with the older guests (specifically the parents as they were more comfortable speaking french then english so they found the menu a little difficult to understand so they asked many questions). It was right ambiance for a birthday dinner, especially for an older person that has not gone to a restaurant in years.

Food was amazing, service was very slow, server forgot numerous orders, glass of wine, coffee and a tea. Server said coffee and tea on the house but still put on bill. Noise level was extremely loud, could hardly hear the people at my table. Music in the bathrooms was way too loud. Would recommend the food but for take out only. Hostesses at the front were amazing, very helpful.

I love Moxies, it’s one of my favourite restaurants. But last night we went to the one on Ogilvy road instead of Innes road because I couldn’t get reservations. I was so disappointed at how loud the music was. We had to talk really loud so we could carry a conversation and at one point my son-in-law couldn’t even keep up and gave up trying to participate in our conversations. There was only 5 of us. We were there for my dad’s 80th birthday and we don’t understand why a beautiful restaurant like that would have the music so incredibly loud. I understand that the bar portion of the restaurant upstairs would have loud music because it is expected but not in the dining room section. The one on Innes Road is never this annoying. I went to the restroom at some point just to get a bit of a break but it was even louder there. Now onto the food and service: As usual, the food was perfect and so delicious! 4 of us had the steak and my daughter had the new addition to the menu, Ramen. And the service was impeccable. Our waitress, Kelsey was so nice and polite and often made sure that we didn’t need anything. She asked if we were there for something special so she had Happy Birthday written on my Dad’s dessert plate. Lovely touch and he really appreciated it. Plus it was complimentary. I will always recommend Moxies! But maybe just consider lowering the music just a little bit. Thank you!

Shrimp Tacos were delicious but the accompanying Guacamole was a very skimpy serving….I asked for more not expecting to be charged an additional $3.50 for what was a very generous serving…my only recommendation would be to have an adequate serving for the accompanying guacamole because that meal is outstanding! I will be back and hope that my recommendation is considered.
