This restaurant has a disconnect with Open Table. Twice now our reservation was not in Moxie's system. Wasn't a problem because they weren't busy, but there is no comfort in wondering if my reservation has been or has not been received even though I have a confirmation email from Open Table.

Family get together to meet the “new guy”. Enough background noise to eliminate any quiet lulls in the conversation but we could till enjoy a good visit. Service was good and considerate of lactose concerns. We all enjoyed our meals.

It was the last night of our holiday. Stayed at hotel next door, saw reviews from other travellers.
All good except light level a bit too dark and music too loud. Would be good to have some areas with no speakers above head.
Food very lovely, portions were huge and had to leave some. Would have preferred salad with ribs rather than potatoes.
Otherwise very nice and waiter very friendly .

We have usually like Moxies as it can accommodate our children and grandchildren and the kid's menu is good. This time, some of the food wasn't as good as usual. My daughter and I had the Fish tacos and we both thought they were dry. Like they had been under a heat lamp too long. Our sons veggie burger with portabello mushroom was good and the vindaloo was excellent. The kids meals were great. One of our grandson's volcano ice cream was melted before he got it. Otherwise good. We had an 97 year old friend and I found it hard to talk to her because the music suddenly got louder and would have been better turned down a titch.

We had 10 people but there had been a serious accident that had gridlocked traffic so a couple of people were almost 2 hours late. The waitress and restaurant was very patient with the situation. There were 2 young children that she help distract during the long wait. It was a family get together with people from out of town so it really help make the occasion

My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Moxie's. I had the Salmon with ginger sauce and he had the full order of ribs. very well prepared and presented. Delicious actually. We shared the chocolate dessert - I think the only chocolate one on the menu, but all of them sounded good. Trying to decide on a wine, I asked our server for a small taste of two - she was very happy to do so and we selected the Hester - a B.C. vineyard - and we enjoyed it. Several servers and management checked on us periodically in a most attentive way, but not intrusive.

Moxie's has been a solid "go-to" for us. As our daughter has gotten older, there has always been something on the menu that she likes. In a dining scene that has other similar choices, Moxie's has always delivered and we've enjoyed our meals there - delicious, uncomplicated, solid dinners. The prices seem fair and the service is always pleasant. Even with two large groups there at the same time, the kitchen kept up and our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered.

Good food and service but rather too noisy. Bear in mind that it's a Thursday evening early dinner at 1830!?

We had the southern fried chicken sandwich/burger. It was really good - the chicken was light and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Chicken lettuce wraps are disappointing. Expensive and the portion is small! My only complaint. Everything else is FANTASTIC

It was a milestone birthday previously mentioned and despite requesting a simple candle on the dessert, it was forgotten? Coarse black pepper was suggested and then requested with our steak, but was also forgotten? Wine suggested was good.

The staff was very inexperienced. When I got my main dish I didn't have a fork or a steak knife. I was waiting for a while until I was able to flag a waitress down. And our original waitress never really came back to ask how things were doing. When it came down to dessert we were given the dish without spoons. Terrible experience. Terrible way to end the night last night.

Overall our waitress was excellent and the food was good. My issue was the reservation. I asked for a reservation for 10 and they split us into 2 booths when there was all sorts of space to put tables together to accommodate us. We went to eat as a family. We didn't want to be split. They finally added a table to the end of one of the booths but customers kept on squeezing by the narrow walk area and interrupting our dinner. If they can't accommodate a bigger group they should have at least advised us beforehand and we would have gladly found another place to eat.

The service was bit slow and took while to refill the water and others.

I understand the difficulty in catering to a large group. Food and ambience were great. Left over appetizers and empty dishes could have been cleared a little sooner. Half the group was served their main dishes while the other half waited quite some time before their lunches finally arrived. I believe the timing of the delivery of all lunches could have been much better. Compensation was automatically provided without asking. Appetizers were removed from the bill, which I thought was a very kind gesture.

Out of the chain restaurants, Moxie's is our favourite. From the look and cleanliness of their restaurants, the outstanding service, the vast menu choices, good value for money and great attention to detail in their meals, they do not disappoint! It is the best kids meal offered by any restaurant - the quality is great not just a 'kids meal'. This last experience, there was one flaw. My steak that I requested medium rare was overdone. I let our server know when she quality checked and she offered to replace my meal. I was too hungry and decided to pass on her offer and eat it anyway. The manager came to apologize and offered a round of drinks or dessert. She recommended the dessert platter which was really good. To our surprise, when the bill came, they took off my meal, the dessert platter and our coffees! They definitely went above and beyond to correct their mistake. We will be back for sure!

Organized a work lunch and was blown away by the delicious food and amazing service. Every one was pleased with their meals, especially the fact that there was no auto gratuity applied to our bill. Will be back!

Food was good. Service was so so. My lunch was slightly over an hr and my water glass was empty half the time. I didn't bother asking for more water but certainly that was unusual. The chicken plate I ordered was 23.75? One chicken breast..while at Chop you get half a chicken and that's also perfectly roasted. Taste wise tho I enjoy it. The accompaniment was better than the meat.
