Moxie's Grill & Bar - West Georgia
Just down the street from Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain Station, Moxie’s is conveniently located on the corner of West Georgia and Cambie Street. We are in the base of Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Centre, right beside Shark Club Sports Bar Grill. Whether you're in the area for a concert or hockey game in one of Vancouver's famed tourist destinations BC Place Stadium or Rogers Arena, we hope you'll come in for any of our great Daily Drink Features.
Our server was lovely and made excellent suggestion.
Seated quickly with a reservation. Drinks took a long time, food came out in the wrong order. Server was friendly and made up for the wait time. Weird seating with higher booths looking down onto lower booths making it a little uncomfortable to have private conversations.
We got seated immediately. Waitress was so nice and checked in on us often. Food was good. My Bellini wasn’t the greatest. Loved my daughter’s dessert with the dry ice! Would definitely go back.
Went here before the Bob Seger concert. I would never eat here again when an event is on at B.C. Place or Rogers...I do not think they can handle the pressure
I loved the renovations you have done inside but ti be honest the food was lackluster and the menu was boring. It is such a great place visually but the food was a complete let down in choice and taste. I am sorry but I am just being honest.
Good wine prices and selection, and good cocktails. Decent varied menu, something for everyone.
We were upstairs where noise travels. Very hard to hear people at our own table. Also impossible to get waitress attention being upstairs.
Good variety of food choices. Good options for gluten free.
The server was very accomodating. It was a good night to spend new years eve
Waitress was slow getting to us yet extremely hyper.. it was New Years Eve so maybe she was starting early?
Service was good as was the food. Good place to go for a pricey bite to eat before the Canucks game. Some specials for drinks and food would have been appreciated.
Food was good however twice we had to send drinks back. The cider I ordered was loaded with ice - hardly making it a proper pour and the beer that was also ordered at the table had about if 2 inches of foam. Certainly not a 20 ounce pour either. Service was slow and twice the server tried to take away dishes with food and drink still left.
I will say the burgers were excellent and overall the food was good.
Food was over cooked, slow and over priced for what it was.
Great service. Food we ordered we’re superb. Reasonable price indeed
Food was okay, but not great. A little overcooked and dry.
Price was reasonable for Vancouver and service was good however background music was too loud.
Arrived at 11:30 am Sunday am and requested breakfast but was told the kitchen was finished breakfast. However the table behind us - who arrived at the same time, all hit breakfast. Very disappointed. Our server did apologize but it still put a negative vibe on our Sunday morning outing.
Good ambiance! The steak salad was very disappointing though - it tasted like plain lettuce with a steak on top. The chipotle mango chicken was really good! Service was okay, not super fast considering there were only two tables when we were there. A bit pricey, but not a bad spot for a pre-show dinner!
Our waitress was amazing
The menu is getting smaller, not a lot of choice. I miss the stir fry option.
Didn’t have a number of menu items hat most Moxie’s has like the broccoli cheese soup and med bread.... how can a Moxie’s not have their famous broccoli cheese soup??? Even another guest was shocked... never saw a server for about 15-20 mins after being sat.
Waiter was very inpatient and unhelpful. Even asking for water refills was unpleasant. They make the whole experience work.
Birthday & theatre
Went before the Beautiful show and got in and out in good time. The food and service were both great.
Had street tacos - small portion, mostly cabbage tasteless and expensive
My husband, daughter and granddaughter were all pleasantly surprised! It seemed improved and for the better! We had been a few times before the theatre and this time we went for dinner before Beautiful at the Queen E. Absolutely blown away with the selections, presentations, service , fabulous atmosphere. The YUM factor was incredible. We walked over the Theatre happily ranting and raving at a lovely dinner with gorgeous ambience to top of an awesome time.
Very busy night at QE and Rogers so restaurant was very busy and service at front door was none. Walked around and found our party. Table was in a corner and very dark. Need more lighting. Salmon dish was very good.
Luckily we made a reservations ahead of time as with the Fleetwood Mac show at Rogers the waits were 1.5 hours. We always pick Moxie's for our downtown eatery when heading to Rogers Arena. Even on this extremely busy night with all waiters/waitresses hustling our drinks arrived quickly and the food was quick and smoking hot.
I have been a patron of Moxies for many years and although the food and service sometimes can be a bit variable it has never left me feeling I won't return .. until now. Knowing the restaurant gets completely booked due its location near Rogers, BC Place and the QET, we made a reservation well in advance for ourselves and another couple. Yes it was busy with a pre-concert dinner crowd, but the service diminished in inverse proportion to the number of tables that were vacant, going from bad to worse, and the food quality was barely tolerable. The server kept trying to up-sell each order, including suggesting wine pairings to two of our company who had just ordered drinks. A draft cider arrived in a draft glass filled with ice with the serve unable to explain why or even offer to replace the drink. We had to go to the bar to ask, and were told they had run out of the smaller glasses normally used for draft cider, and so decided an ice filled beer glass would be about the same amount of cider - telling us we should be pleased because they believed the net volume was more than what would have been normally served. The watered down effect was soon evident by the accumulation of ice water at the base of the glass, and after four attempts we were able to get the server's attention to take it back. The meat on the open faced steak sandwiches was barely warm and the fries the same. We finally gave up after it took over a half hour to get a brownie "bite", it never arrived after three inquiries so we cancelled and called for the bill, 90 minutes after being seated.
The food was awful , other than Kale salad. Service was not good or attentive and server didnt know his stuff with food or wine. The place is so loud you cant hear yourself think.
Unfortunately the waitress spilt a full glass of ice water onto my daughter's lap. I understand accidents happen. We were going to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre so she was going to be wet for a long time. Someone came over and also apologized and brought a cloth and said that her meal would be comped. She had ordered wings. When the wings arrived we realized it was very small portion and she ordered french fries. She also had a Shirley Temple. The only thing that was comped was her wings. Not a big deal however I would have expected her entire meal to be comped. This restaurant has very nice feel to it with an excellent menu. Their service is also quick.
They were far too busy and service was very slow. The fried chicken burger was not edible and they couldn’t replace it in time. Also, they didn’t have our open table reservation, although they did seat us anyway even though they were busy.
I particularly ordered no bacon or cheese on hamburger - bacon was inside. My friend ordered hamburger with bacon - hers did not have bacon or cheese. We could not send back because we were off to theatre. Next day I received message from open table that I did not fulfil my reservation . We were on time for reservation and they had the table for 5 ready under my name!
The restaurant needs a full renovation plus a new menu. It is obviously coming to a lease end.
Waitress was very friendly and made sure everything was GF for nr
I had booked my reservation months ago with Open Table. I called a few days prior to my reservation to ask about moving my reservation to 5pm instead of 4pm. The lady checked with the manager and they Agreed which was great given the short notice. However when i arrived they told me that they stopped accepting reservations from Open Table about 7 days prior so my reservation was not valid. I informed her that i booked my reservation way before the last 7 days and even talked to someone in the few days before to confirm my reservation. She was not willing to offer a table until i mentioned speaking with management. We got a table in the back room which was nice. They were extremely busy so drinks took a while and they had sold out of all the food choices i had wanted so i ended up with a side of fries. My expierence was fine, however had the lady at the front been very understanding and sat me right away without first trying to tell me reservation was invalid my expierence would have been better. Not having alot of the menu options kind of sucked, and perhaps planning better with ordering additional food(this was an event night, with a huge concert next door) would have made the night better for alot of the guests.
I love that they have a gluten sensitive menu that you can ask for. There are many choices to choose from.
Used to be a lot better back in the day before the menu overhaul.
Das schlechteste Steak obwohl als AAA+ in der Karte ausgewiesen
Naja muss es halt selbst ausprobieren um den Fehler nicht noch einmal zu machen
The service was exceptional! You guys were incredibly kind and went out of your way to make sure we had a memorable dining experience! Thank you!!

Our server Chris (make) was phenomenal! Service was fast and friendly despite being super busy. Great food and great drinks! Thanks for an awesome dinner!
