Sehr leckeres Essen, super aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service.
We use this restaurant because of it's convenient location to the QE Theatre. I have experienced so-so service in the past - kitchen seemed to get overwhelmed when busy and orders get mixed up. This visit was much better, although the menu had changed and I felt it was more limited - my stand-by was still available. The service and food were good. We do tend to go early so we can relax and not feel rushed. It was a good experience this time.
We met relatives from England who were staying nearby prior to a cruise. Selected Moxie’s because it was an easy walk from their hotel and also the underground parking was a bonus for those of us who drove in from South Surrey as we had one handicap person with us. Probably should have mentioned that in advance as we were seated two steps up. We managed fine though. It was a bit noisy at first, quieted in the middle and then got a bit noisy again later. Appreciated that we were in a corner with no tables behind us.
Bring back the salmon Cobb salad and a few more exciting things. Menu hasn't been changed in a bit and it could use more variety. But good servers.
It’s was very busy but it was my daughters 16 th bday and we were going to stars on ice. Not once was she acknowledged even when I reminded the front and confirmed they had it on my reservation
Ladies night out for Stars on Ice, so we dined here before the event. We were extremely impressed! A good selection of items on the menu and the food was great. Our waitress was outstanding! She was so accommodating and patient, very professional.
I regularly go to Moxie's before theatre or other events. Food and wine is excellent but often too noisy - especially the back, smaller room. Perhaps it would be better not to put big groups in that space.
The menu is smaller than it was formerly
We had a reservation for 8 and they had the table ready on time. Our server was great and was always on top of everything. The food was really good and we had an awesome time!
Super busy... Drinks took forever. Even with reservations we got put in the back by the kitchen. It was very loud. Waiter was odd and timid. Not the best experience
My dad and I went there before the eagles and were very impressed. It was my dad's first time at a moxies and said he would return. I have been to moxies before and never been disappointed. Food and service were both fantastic.
Good food, convenient location for our planned evening. Been before and will return.
We had a reservation as we were attending a concert and we were shown to our table promptly. The service was very good - we each had different pasta dishes and both were delicious. The dining experience was very good but the music was extremely loud. There is no need to have the music so loud that you can't talk to your dining companion.
They have a nice variety of dinner choices. A bit hard to find it's above the bar and off to the side inside a hotel
My friend who has several food sensitivities was well taken care of here and always is. We come here maybe 6 times a year and they take food issues seriously.
My sandwich on the other hand was dry and overcooked to the point you could hardly chew it. Limited number of things they do well.
They lost our reservation but managed to seat us just fine. Staff was so welcoming even when we had a baby and a table change
The food was a bit lacklustre, the chicken tenders tasted about like the frozen ones we make at home. The venue itself is nice, although looks like it could be lacking some attention (lots of burnt out lights in the chandeliers, and overall a bit unclean in some areas).
Wonderful experience. Server was attentive. Food came out quickly and was delicious.
Service was fast, to accommodate before-game or before-theatre crowd, which is good. But you can get much better food at this price. Salads and main courses were mediocre at best, although the dessert trio saved the day.
I added a request when i booked a reservation online but it did not happen.
Had a reservation, hostess's argument with other staff took priority over greeting and seating us. Music in the partially full restaurant was so loud we needed to shout to have conversation. Server was very good. Kitchen didn't get the food order correct and needed to go back. I've always had good experiences at the other Moxie's restaurants, but I'll avoid this one in the future.
Heading to the Juno’s
The main problem was the music was too loud, we asked to be moved to a quieter table but it did not help
First impressions are important, and once you go up the stairs to the restaurant part there is a sign that says to 'go to the hostess stand' -there is no "hostess stand" so we were kind of wandering around trying to make eye contact with someone.
I found the hostess who helped us to be a little rude, she showed us to a very tall table, my friend who I was dining with is barely 5" tall and had to climb and jump into her chair, so I asked if there was a shorter table or booth available, and the hostess acted like I had asked her to do something so inconvenient to her life--for me it was more of a common sense thing; why would you seat someone who is vertically challenged at the tallest table possible?
She showed us to another table, which was fine, but again the attitude was a total put off.
Our server Dawson was very nice, so that would have to be the one positive part of the evening.
The food was excellent and the service staff were very accommodating and helpful
We were visiting from out of town and staying at the Sandman and that's why we chose Moxie's. The food and the service were excellent, but the music was WAY TOO loud - geared towards the younger set for sure. However we are Seniors and were meeting other Seniors for dinner and we could hardly hear each other speak. That is why I cannot recommend this Moxie's to others.
Recently renovated with a new menu and recipes. Had a good dinner, but prefer the food prior to the changes.
Decent kind of pub food but so attentive to food restrictions and allergies. Always!, we come here a lot for that reason.
My boyfriend and I booked our reservation a few weeks before Valentine’s Day and thought we’d finally utilize the “Special Requests” section on Open Table, and let me tell you: we were NOT disappointed!! We wrote “Make it Valentine’s Day-like. Improvise. Tipped based on creativity. ;)” we laughed about it whilst making the reservation, not actually thinking they’d follow through with it... when we arrived, we were promptly seated in a booth by the windows, and immediately greeted by our server (I’m kicking myself for not remembering his name, because he was awesome!!) We ordered drinks and an appy before our meal, and when he came back, he brought a red rose, and two coasters cut into the shape of hearts, before running off and quickly coming back with a plate of heart candies!! Best Valentine’s Day dinner ever! P.S.: the food was excellent as well. :)
Food was good but nothing special, I'm a big eater and I found their portion size small (I ordered "the burger"). The service was great, very friendly and polite. I'd recommend it because they have a pretty versatile menu with a variety of foods, so its great for a date when you dont know the other persons preferences.
Service was very average. When the food arrived it was not as ordered and the vegetables were cold and the meat was not tender. Would not rush back though I may have caught them on a bad day.
Good food good beer
Ribs were OK, but the bruschetta was excellent.
Food and service was good. However there was an overwhelming smell of stale fish upon entering the restaurant that remained for the entire time of our stay.
They allocated a large room to our group of 7 people which turned out to be quite private and nice. The food is good, our server was very good. The only thing unpleasant was that we saw little mice running from one corner of the room to the other... we didn’t mind it too much but I think the restaurant should take it more seriously.
Our table was ready when we got there. We were pleased because it was a hockey game night. Our service was very good. I was also pleased about that as we had heard other people from different nights complain about the lack of service. I would recommend this place to people. Thank you.
I ordered Mushroom Sirloin with fries. medium cooked.
I got Sirloin rare and no mushroom or fries.
I enjoy Moixie's and this location. I do find that the lighting, at least in the area where we were sat, is too dark. When you have to use the flashlight from your phone, to read the menu, there's a problem. The service and food were great. It was a bit loud and hard to hear the server though and I do think they need more salad and pasta options.
Good restaurant to go to before theatre or sports events.
Food us good and service is good. Wish they would add a few new items to there menu as we go there regularly before theatres.
Went for lunch before a performance we were attending. They ran out of soup at 12:15pm, and when we went to order other items they were out as well. Food overall was good but just disappointing that a resturaunt can’t plan to have enough food on hand!
