I had booked my reservation months ago with Open Table. I called a few days prior to my reservation to ask about moving my reservation to 5pm instead of 4pm. The lady checked with the manager and they Agreed which was great given the short notice. However when i arrived they told me that they stopped accepting reservations from Open Table about 7 days prior so my reservation was not valid. I informed her that i booked my reservation way before the last 7 days and even talked to someone in the few days before to confirm my reservation. She was not willing to offer a table until i mentioned speaking with management. We got a table in the back room which was nice. They were extremely busy so drinks took a while and they had sold out of all the food choices i had wanted so i ended up with a side of fries. My expierence was fine, however had the lady at the front been very understanding and sat me right away without first trying to tell me reservation was invalid my expierence would have been better. Not having alot of the menu options kind of sucked, and perhaps planning better with ordering additional food(this was an event night, with a huge concert next door) would have made the night better for alot of the guests.
I love that they have a gluten sensitive menu that you can ask for. There are many choices to choose from.
Used to be a lot better back in the day before the menu overhaul.
Das schlechteste Steak obwohl als AAA+ in der Karte ausgewiesen
Naja muss es halt selbst ausprobieren um den Fehler nicht noch einmal zu machen
The service was exceptional! You guys were incredibly kind and went out of your way to make sure we had a memorable dining experience! Thank you!!
Website indicates happy hour not available and items that were happy hour weren’t available.
Our server Chris (make) was phenomenal! Service was fast and friendly despite being super busy. Great food and great drinks! Thanks for an awesome dinner!
We always stop in at Moxie's for supper when attending a concert at Rogers Arena or a show at the Queen E. It is in the perfect location for both. The service has always been very good even when busy. The food though a bit pricey for what it is ..... is always served looking good on the plate and hot. There are a few choices for gluten sensitive (Of which I am)
Hi again--previous screen disappeared!
We are regulars when attending events at the QET--appreciate the proximity to both Skytrain and the theatre. Menu choices are always good. As is the upbeat service.
Food was good , service was very good but washrooms ( both men's and ladies ) were in poor condition
Enjoyed our meal out before concert. Very convenient.
Great service however there were items not available from their menu that disappointed. What we did get was good. No cappuccino so they should not even be offered on the dessert menu.
appies seemed like they were yesterdays and just deep fried again
waiter didn't introduce himself and had zero social skills
girl who came to the table to crush the guacamole sprayed my daughters white shirt AND did not apologize... think she said... "wow, that's a juicy one"
there was 6 of us there and 4 of us didn't finish because food was cold or had zero taste
the manger came by to check on our table - but just walked by without saying anything... was more interested in delivering shooters to a bunch of loud females
we won't be going back
too bad too - the location is perfect if going to either of the stadiums
the restaurant was great. We were in Vancouver for the weekend from Toronto. Great walking distance from our Hotel. The Waiter was fantastic!
13th Birthday, dinner before concert
We were having a quick meal before a show at the QE Theatre. Service was fast, and friendly.
The food and service were great .... my only complaint would be about the bar stools at the outside tables on the patio. They were comfortable BUT both my companion and I found it difficult to get them in a good position at the table, even though they were comfortable enough ..... could not move them in once seated and couldn't get seated if they were moved into the right location .... because of the style of the chairs? ....
Sehr leckeres Essen, super aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service.
We use this restaurant because of it's convenient location to the QE Theatre. I have experienced so-so service in the past - kitchen seemed to get overwhelmed when busy and orders get mixed up. This visit was much better, although the menu had changed and I felt it was more limited - my stand-by was still available. The service and food were good. We do tend to go early so we can relax and not feel rushed. It was a good experience this time.
We met relatives from England who were staying nearby prior to a cruise. Selected Moxie’s because it was an easy walk from their hotel and also the underground parking was a bonus for those of us who drove in from South Surrey as we had one handicap person with us. Probably should have mentioned that in advance as we were seated two steps up. We managed fine though. It was a bit noisy at first, quieted in the middle and then got a bit noisy again later. Appreciated that we were in a corner with no tables behind us.
Bring back the salmon Cobb salad and a few more exciting things. Menu hasn't been changed in a bit and it could use more variety. But good servers.
It’s was very busy but it was my daughters 16 th bday and we were going to stars on ice. Not once was she acknowledged even when I reminded the front and confirmed they had it on my reservation
Ladies night out for Stars on Ice, so we dined here before the event. We were extremely impressed! A good selection of items on the menu and the food was great. Our waitress was outstanding! She was so accommodating and patient, very professional.
I regularly go to Moxie's before theatre or other events. Food and wine is excellent but often too noisy - especially the back, smaller room. Perhaps it would be better not to put big groups in that space.
The menu is smaller than it was formerly
We had a reservation for 8 and they had the table ready on time. Our server was great and was always on top of everything. The food was really good and we had an awesome time!
Super busy... Drinks took forever. Even with reservations we got put in the back by the kitchen. It was very loud. Waiter was odd and timid. Not the best experience
My dad and I went there before the eagles and were very impressed. It was my dad's first time at a moxies and said he would return. I have been to moxies before and never been disappointed. Food and service were both fantastic.
Good food, convenient location for our planned evening. Been before and will return.
We had a reservation as we were attending a concert and we were shown to our table promptly. The service was very good - we each had different pasta dishes and both were delicious. The dining experience was very good but the music was extremely loud. There is no need to have the music so loud that you can't talk to your dining companion.
They have a nice variety of dinner choices. A bit hard to find it's above the bar and off to the side inside a hotel
My friend who has several food sensitivities was well taken care of here and always is. We come here maybe 6 times a year and they take food issues seriously.
My sandwich on the other hand was dry and overcooked to the point you could hardly chew it. Limited number of things they do well.
They lost our reservation but managed to seat us just fine. Staff was so welcoming even when we had a baby and a table change
The food was a bit lacklustre, the chicken tenders tasted about like the frozen ones we make at home. The venue itself is nice, although looks like it could be lacking some attention (lots of burnt out lights in the chandeliers, and overall a bit unclean in some areas).
Wonderful experience. Server was attentive. Food came out quickly and was delicious.
Service was fast, to accommodate before-game or before-theatre crowd, which is good. But you can get much better food at this price. Salads and main courses were mediocre at best, although the dessert trio saved the day.
I added a request when i booked a reservation online but it did not happen.
Had a reservation, hostess's argument with other staff took priority over greeting and seating us. Music in the partially full restaurant was so loud we needed to shout to have conversation. Server was very good. Kitchen didn't get the food order correct and needed to go back. I've always had good experiences at the other Moxie's restaurants, but I'll avoid this one in the future.
Heading to the Juno’s
The main problem was the music was too loud, we asked to be moved to a quieter table but it did not help
First impressions are important, and once you go up the stairs to the restaurant part there is a sign that says to 'go to the hostess stand' -there is no "hostess stand" so we were kind of wandering around trying to make eye contact with someone.
I found the hostess who helped us to be a little rude, she showed us to a very tall table, my friend who I was dining with is barely 5" tall and had to climb and jump into her chair, so I asked if there was a shorter table or booth available, and the hostess acted like I had asked her to do something so inconvenient to her life--for me it was more of a common sense thing; why would you seat someone who is vertically challenged at the tallest table possible?
She showed us to another table, which was fine, but again the attitude was a total put off.
Our server Dawson was very nice, so that would have to be the one positive part of the evening.
