The presentation of the meals particularly impressed me, and the food was extremely great. The tastes were expertly matched, and every plate was a work of art. Everything, from the starters to the main course , was done to perfection. But, the cocktail we ordered was the one letdown of the evening. When it finally arrived, the cocktail i had my heart set on from the menu didn't resemble the picture at all. I also received a subpar gin and tonic that I had purchased as a backup. Given the excellent quality of the cuisine and the ambiance of the restaurant, it was a little underwhelming. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant for its excellent food and beautiful ambience. Just be aware that the cocktails may not live up to expectations.

Brianna our waitress was personable & attentive. We went for lunch on Valentines Day. The salt & pepper wings-no drumsticks-few of the wings were “chewy”, “grizzled”. Cobb salad was fresh.

The meal at Moxies was excellent. The two entrees we had were excellent and prepared uniquely. However the best part of the evening was the service from Oriana. A true professional and a pleasure to chat with. Unfortunately Oriana had to leave part way through her shift. She appeared in some discomfort. However she did let us know she was leaving and had Corey finish off our evening. What made Oriana extra special was the fact she actually brought out our meals prior to leaving for the night. We certainly appreciated all her extra efforts. The restaurant has a great employee!

Regulars here for years and quite disappointed last 2 visits. Presented food. (Cold) and no cutlery. We spoke with 3 people to get us some while food died even harder on the table. Presentation was lacking. Beans over cooked and steak undercooked and not to order but edible to say the least. We love you guys and trusting our next visit is not a let down. No strike 3 please!!

We usually go to Moxie's in Brampton (where we live) or Mississauga. It's a classic for birthdays and celebrations. This time we chose Hamilton because it was halfway between Brampton and St. Catherines, where the friend whose birthday and promotion we were celebrating lives. It was a very quiet early afternoon, Labour Day's Eve and raining so few people were around. We chose Moxie's for the consistent quality of the food and the Hamilton branch by the Sandman Hotel didn't disappoint. The service was excellent from the moment we made the booking. We had chosen patio but had to chance to indoors due to weather but it was lovely nevertheless. Our server was super nice and attentive and the food was wonderful. Same goes for the drinks. We had a long and relaxed lunch and enjoyed the quiet very much. Despite the fact that some favourites have disappeared from the menu (I specially miss the Double Baked Potato to go with Mushroom Sirloin) Moxie's is always the best option when it comes to make everyone at the table happy. We will go on celebrating there!

Love the patio! It was spacious and comfortable. The music was at a volume that we could still talk to each other and food came well spaced out. Although our server, Cory, had several tables, he checked in regularly with us and took time to chat. The food was delicious and gave us time to enjoy each course before the next came out. One of us had salmon which was perfectly cooked. The steaks were exactly as we like them and the other person in our party had the cheeseburger - one of our personal favourites. The restaurant was busy inside and out so it took a few minutes to get our drink order in but from then on - an absolutely lovely evening. We will go back again.

The food was tasty with large portions, but a little overpriced for what there was on the menu. Drinks service was appalling! I can only assume the company don't provide enough staff cover. The servers were pleasant and friendly but clearly rushed off their feet and unable to cope with the volume of guests. As we were part of a large group, we weren't allowed to approach the bar to order (even though the service was slow) which was frustrating. We don't understand why this would be. Something to do with adding the service tip to the bill maybe? Poor, very poor.

Second time was a disappointment because my original reservation was changed without notice to accommodate a large party even though I had booked a week in advance, requested a special location and it was confirmed hours before. Although I will acknowledge they found an alternative, it was not what I expected or requested. The drinks were great, the appetizers were delicious, tge entrees lacked a flavor. Found the automatic 18% gratuity a bit excessive for a party of 8. Maybe I will go back, but it may be long time.

They were out of the wine I wanted,then out of the chicken sandwich I wanted, then put cheese on my sandwich after I requested no cheese....3/3 disappointments....however they made up for it by taking off my meal from the bill and offering a free dessert without me even asking or escalating the problems. That was a good gesture and I will return because of the good customer service

Jess B was a fantastic server. She paced our food and drinks perfectly and checked in with us at exactly the right times. She was friendly and helped us with menu choices. The food, ribs and steak were served with mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. But the desserts — OMG! How awesome - key lime pie and salted caramel cheesecake, made on site I believe, we’re amazing. We weren’t rushed which was exactly what we needed after a crazy day. We will be back with friends and family for sure. Thanks to the Moxies Hamilton team - 5 stars for all of you!!!!
