   Lower music should be in the dining room because I couldn’t hear my partner’s conversation. We were talking louder than we normally would. Dining should be in total enjoyment if good vibes and relaxing music. Not BAR music.

   It was a great Happy Hour experience with great food and service. Shout out to Alyssia for her outstanding service even though she seemed to be the only server on the floor she ensured that all tables were taken care off. Alyssia made our experience memorable, she is a great server.

    We were not asked where we would like to sit. Our greeter escorted us to a round table to the right of the entrance adjacent to a large group celebrating a birthday and left. The meal (salmon) was okay but a very small portion and somewhat dry. I had something in the medley of veggies that was very hard, and not edible. Looked like a piece of squash that had solidified. Our sever was excellent. The coffee was awful. The coffee was not.

    Hunt Club location is the best. Super decor, great food and really nice staff. Wish there could be a gluten free menu back to make ordering a little easier, but we’ve been lucky and happy with the approach.

    Good food, great service by waiter Ryan. Had the blackened shrimp tacos…although they were prepared & presented a little differently than the time I had them at the east end location a month ago, they were equally delicious although still skimpy on the guacamole and this time I refused to order & pay $3.50 for an extra spoonful so to be very honest I planned ahead and brought a little container from home and discreetly enjoyed it with the tacos & corn chips

    The music was a bit too loud on the bar side for talking but we had a great time and enjoyed our meals and wine. Our server was very nice and came to check on us even though it was super busy.

    Overall experience was good, for two in the lounge at lunchtime on Saturday. Televisions/screens were verrrry loud. Loved the decor and attentive staff. Our server was good and yet forgot to take my order for main course. Also didn’t replace my cutlery after clearing appetizer. When I mentioned these things she seemed to say I wasn’t clear.

    Great food as always ! Steak perfectly cooked ! Great Ambience ! Loved the 50% off the bottle of wine on Wednesday night (a surprise to us). Amazing service by Steph who also took the initiative to serve us in French which was greatly appreciated.

    The food was flavourless and disappointing, green beans next to raw. Wad of white bread unseasoned to be stuffing, turkey was dry and had no flavour. Mashed potatoes we nice. Toasted dinner roll (no butter) offered......Gravy was okay again lacking any flavour and not enough offered on serving. We were able to switch to garden salad , because a Ceasar salad makes no sense and flavours would have clashed if the the entree was seasoned properly. Warm chocolate brown was different. I wouldn't order something so extremely sweet for myself and it was swimming in sauce...I think a simple apple crisp with vanilla ice cream would have been a good choice. Value for the money..no not for a meal that had the same flavour as a hospital meal. If it was improved upon and even slightly resembled the advertised picture ..maybe. Would I recommend another holiday dinner there NO

    While the service was excellent, the place was too cold and the kitchen ran out of soup. This is was what I wanted. You have eliminated lunch items you should not have - specifically the cup of soup/half sandwich option.

    It was date night. We like Moxies very much and will return from time to time. Our waitress could have been more attentive and could have been a better listener. She had difficulty getting our drink order straight and we had to ask for utensils. Otherwise good!

    There seems to be a number of new staff. Ladies at the front not well coordinated. No way to understand where table numbers are except to look at shared device, so they wait while hostess is on the phone. New was people coming with glasses of water and carafe which was nice touch. Drink order took too long. Another Nice touch was coming around with food samples prior to ordering. Unfortunately not available to those with a gluten allergy. Waitress didn’t know if it was gluten free but did add that all their food is, which is untrue, and cross contamination could make it unsafe to try which is true. I tried food sample which was excellent but when I was done I had nowhere to put the big spoon but on our table, yuck. Makes it a cheap experience. Waitress took food order and left spoon sitting there along with all the menus. Manager came by and asked if we still needed our menus and on “no”, picked them up and noticing dirty sample spoon asked how I liked it. He covered for his colleague nicely. On salad arriving there was nowhere to offload bread sitting on top. Had to wait to ask for a side plate. Waitress not as upbeat or happy as we’re used to. Overall felt like amateur hour compared to our regular experience over the last 15 years. Hoping these new staff get their groove and confidence soon. Great food as always.     Was interesting having CADAVER DIA owner letting us sample his tequila. Great marketing going where the people are. Great Caesar salad; better than usual and just yummy dressing. Vindaloo seemed to not have usual sticky rice. Seemed different texture. Thanks for staying open and strong during all the ups and downs with Covid.

    We have eaten here several times and it has been a reasonable experience however we ate here Sunday March 13/22 and I had the Beef Vindaloo. It tasted awful was over spiced and I only ate about 1/3 of it before reporting it to the server who together with her supervisor were kind and concerned. The end result was I was sick to my stomach most of the night. My friend just had soup and salad and she was fine. In general we both felt the menu does not offer a very good selection. Yes there are other choices but for example most, given inflation are not too inclined to pay $20+ for a hamburger and fries. We are sorry to say it will be a long time before we go to Moxies on Riverside Ottawa again but we hope the management take our complaint seriously and consider deleting Beef Vindaloo from the menu or at the very least redoing the recipe so it can be tasty and eaten without too much spice and getting sick.
