Moxies restaurant is a contemporary casual restaurant offering a globally inspired menu and hand crafted cocktails in a vibrant and interactive atmosphere. Moxies has over 50 locations across Canada and 6 US locations in Dallas, Houston, and Miami. Our Kanata location is located at 601 Earl Grey Drive at the Kanata Centrum Shopping Centre, just blocks from Kanata Golf & Country Club and the Canadian Tire Centre. Our Executive Chef Brandon Thordarson has created a menu offering a wide-array of steaks, burgers, pastas and seafood!     The food was excellent. Our server was new and was in training, but she was quite good. The noise level was quite loud as there was a large party of young women nearby celebrating something. It made conversation more challenging, but not impossible.

    Food was pretty poor quality, French Dip had so much horseradish on it that it upest my stomach and felt like I was eating just horseradish. We saw our waiter twice all night!!

    Both the food and service was absolutely outstanding. Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. Quickly becoming my fav place to eat.

    Food and service always good at this Moxies. Had a guest with us with food allergies that they took very seriously. The Manager came out to discuss food preparation and options. Very impressed !

    Service was excellent. Our waitress Asia was a real treat and added to our enjoyment of the evening. The tenderloin was an excellent choice and the peppercorn sauce was the best I’ve had anywhere.

    Our order was mixed up. One of our party did not get what they ordered and it was never entered into the kitchen. We have no idea how the mixup happened but she was given a meal she definitely did not order. It took 30 min to get our food as well. Was told there were issues in the kitchen. Our server spent most time chatting at the bar and we had to flag her down every time we needed something. I’ve eaten at Moxies before and their service and food have always been stellar. This experience was not stellar at all.

    Attended before Journey concert. They were playing all their songs. Great but music was a bit too loud for a supper as my friends and I were trying to catch up before concert. Service was great! We were not rushed through our meal and server was attentive. I tried something new, the prawn dish from pasta selection. Tasted good and excellent amount of prawn but sauce needs thickening as it was more like a soup than pasta dish. Other 3 plates were excellent. Presentation excellent!

    The food, as usual, was excellent and did not disappoint. The wine choices were varied and prices offered good value. I gave the service a "4" instead of a "5". The restaurant was not busy at all (noon on a Saturday). We felt that the server provided good service but came a bit too quickly at the table - we barely had time to open our menus and she was ready to take our order. To her credit, she very often dropped by at the table to ensure we had everything we needed (which is always appreciated), but a slightly better timing would have been nice.

    Meal before attending Ottawa Senators game. Lots of fans doing the same. Drinks and appetizers came quickly and Cora checked in that they were satisfactory. When a glitch caused our entrees to take longer than “the restaurant standard” Laura came and informed us, apologized and made it right. Food was correct temperature and delicious. We had in fact comment to each other about how we noticed Laura checking in with people, supporting staff and dealing with any problems. We were impressed before we had any interactions. Exceptional service by Cora and Laura.

    last 2 visits with my family bills have been $200 and last eve $250 both visits the food has been cold / only slightly warm last visit my husbands food was so cold it had to be sent back to the kitchen last eve i had well in advance asked not to be seated on my reservation ,near the kitchen due to my daughter’s hearing disability too much noise is hard makes it difficult with her hearing aides when we arrive we are brought to our booth - which is the booth closet to the kitchen so i had to ask hostess to not seat us there and explained reason so back to the front of the restaurant while we wait for another booth once seated we ordered our drinks and food ordered starter salads 3/4 arrived as ordered once finished the salads we then waited close to 45 mins for our main entrées to arrive once they finally arrived all our food was only slightly warm, not hot at all we didn’t send it back as we had waited already so long and were hungry tables around us that were seated after us already has their food ? anyways 2/4 entree arrived as ordered, 2 of the french dips were not to have any cheese, veggies or horseradish roast beef was covered in cheese no one came to check on us after food arrived, so when waitress appeared we mentioned there was cheese on sandwiches she said why didn’t you tell me earlier, we are telling you now our desserts arrived we ordered 2 brownies 1 was warm and moist. the other was stone cold and so hard we had to use a knife to cut into it once done we asked for the bill only to wait another 20 mins to obtain the bill our planned 1.5 dinner took from 6:15-9:15 - 3 hours of waiting for table, long waits for cold food for $250 bill not sure if we will be returning again in near future, sad as it was one of our favourite spots to go as a family

    The ambience was awesome, food was very good and the hospitality was above and beyond. They offered welcome drinks while we waited our table to ready. This is first time in Ottawa that we experienced such welcome!

    Service was top notch. Still bitter about the steak salad changes over the year. The salad used to be phenomenal but it has just become limp and flavorless over the years. Not sure what changed but they really need to change it back.
