At Moxies we love to keep things fresh, that’s why we’re shaking things up at our Shawnessy location with the introduction of our first-ever Test Kitchen.

We’re embarking on an all-new culinary adventure and we want your input as we test all-new plates and re-imagined recipes to go alongside the untouchable favourites that made us famous.

Moxies restaurant is a contemporary casual restaurant offering a globally inspired menu and hand crafted cocktails in a vibrant and interactive atmosphere. Moxies has over 50 locations across Canada and 6 US locations in Dallas, Houston and Miami.

In addition to the new menu, our Test Kitchen offers local craft brews batched exclusively for this location and integrated hospitality technology in to the service. The goal of our Test Kitchen is to test every aspect of our restaurant and ensure we provide each guest with a truly satisfying dining experience.

    Our host and waitress were great. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps, tuna poke bowl, and kids salmon. Drinks came promptly, food as well. Every dish was excellent. Solid 10/10. Lettuce wraps could have used some more drainage as I had quite a bit of water bowled up, but didn't impact the dish. We have been geting average to below, everywhere else, Moxies last night was easy 5 stars. Go here. The food is what it's all about and they do it well.

    The waiter was good. One in our party has a spicy chicken sandwiches. He said it was good but not spicy. But the portion was very small. I had the Lettuce wraps. I did not enjoy them at all. Maybe if they used butter lettuce they would be easier to eat. But I felt like it was just cut up deep fried chicken tossed in a very sweet sauce. Plus I was not sure why there was mint on the plate. It did not go with it. Not sure where the cashew nuts were hiding either. You could take a lesson from the Cheese cake factory in the US on how to make it and serve it. The majority of the other meals were okay. The only thing that was really liked was 3 tiny little Tacos that was an appetizer

    It was a great evening we really enjoyed. It was quiet and nice. We had a half price wine bottle special with some appetizers. The tuna sushi dish and black bean tacos were delicious.

    My only comment would be…for the poke bowl…the sauce was a little soy-forward. Could have used some or more sesame/ginger/miso.

    Helpful with gluten free options and very helpful and knowledgeable server, Emerson. Nice summer menu options. The salmon was a little undercooked for our taste. Quick service. Will be back for sure!

    Messed up the food order, after waiting for more than 30 minutes to get our food, my wife’s food was not prepared as ordered. It took another 10 minutes (which made sense as they had to prepare another sandwich).

    We had a group of 10 to celebrate birthdays and everything was amazing!! The food was delicious and we had the best server (sorry I can’t remember her name) - she was so kind, attentive, and happily helped our group with anything we needed. Overall 10/10 experience and everyone else in my group agreed.

    I found the food mediocre. Burgers were small and Pattie’s were dry. Calamari was mostly shrimp and what calamari there was, were the chewy tubes. The restaurant was not busy, but the service was incredibly slow. I’ve liked moxies before but this was not good.

    We had a great meal with a super service person. The meal came in a reasonable time, was well prepared, and tasted great. The noise level was higher than desired but not extreme. Overall a very good experience.

    Unfortunately, it was a bad experience. The food was awful, the meat was chewy without any flavour, shrimp was raw, but the calamari was overcooked. No, I will not come back.

    Ordered the Nachos with both chicken and beef. Was told they'd have to charge for both proteins, which would have been fine if they had put a full portion of each protein on the Nachos, but alas, they only put a half portion of each and charged us for two proteins. They were still good, but not impressed with the resultant value. I've had these nachos the same way at other Moxies without issue.

    The food was great, but probably the worst service I have received at a Restaurant in years. The waitress only stopped by the table once we flagged down other servers to ask for her. We had empty drinks on the table for over 25 minutes and it took forever to have the dirty dishes removed. The wait staff was hanging out and chatting with the kitchen staff for the majority of the evening.

    5 out of the 7 meals came out cold (burgers, pasta, ribs and tacos), and a fairly long wait for them to arrive at the table. The other two were warm, not hot, but edible enough. The 5 cold meals were remade. The server was great, very apologetic, not her fault at all. The 2 meals that came were much better. But not a great experience having to wait even longer to have 5 meals redone.
