It was my birthday, it was stated in the reservation but didn’t even get a nice greeting. Anyways I’m pregnant and I was craving calamari so once we sat we order it right away thinking we will get it while we were still checking on the menus. After about ten minutes our server came back to take our order. We didn’t have water for the first 25 minutes at least, We kept waiting for our starter to arrive, even our main dishes came before the calamari, 40 minutes after we sat. My guessing is the server forgot to punch it in. I asked her again for the calamari, she said she’d check on it, she came back to apologize and said it will take about 8 to 10 more minutes (which is what I was expecting in the first place) kinda blame it in on the kitchen, I was gonna cancel it right there, I was getting so upset but cravings. Food was meh, the steak was way too salty, we never got water refills. In overall it wasn’t a nice birthday dinner. Wouldn’t recommend this place

They gave us a lot of ice and instead of replacing it properly they just took the ice out and gave us back something like looked like a small cup of tea. Cold truffle fries also, had to get it replaced.

We were sat by the hostess as soon as we got there, but we waited 15mins before our server got to our table. He took our orders and appetizers got to our table pretty quickly. However, mains took another 20mins of waiting and when I got my steak and frites, it was over cooked and frites taste like it’s been sitting a long time before it got served to me. My partner asked for gravy and ketchup and it took another 10mins for it to arrive. Server was too busy too even wait for our answer when he asked how was everything. I was expecting a good experience for a date night but I got really disappointed with the service and food.

Thank goodness I made reservations. Service was slow especially when you wanted our booth for all the waiting customers. Maybe you could use more servers? The booths for 6 people was crammed and not favourable for comfortable dining experience. When you have 2 large men in the mix, the person on the end of the booth was sitting on the edge since there was no room to sit. The food was okay? Why do our $30 nachos differ so much from one Moxies restaurant to another? I want consistency across all Moxies…that’s why I order the appetizer each and every time.

Met up with my long time friend Monique to catch up and our server Chante (not sure on spelling) was a delight. We had calamari (personally not a fan of dill) 2 entrees pineapple chicken and cheeseburger Shared keylime pie Runner that brought our food was a happy soul and we all laughed when we asked jokingly for mayo with our dessert. Great sense of humor. This location is so pretty and large capacity. Bathroom is great for pics

The service was mediocre. We did wait for a bit. We had our drinks but no food order for a bit of time. We had the manager come to take our order as our server was most likely busy. The manager was fast and pleasant . The server did give us our drinks on the house which made us happy. He should be less talkative and focus more on taking people’s orders as most likely the reason for being slow.

A hidden gem at Yorkdale. It's located downstairs near the Indigo store. Had a wonderful light lunch of lettuce wraps which was very tasty. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Could have a few less screens and music level in the bathroom was almost deafening! Would return.

The food is terrible taste. The money spent is not worthy. The waiter does not seem to receive proper training in hospitality area. You feel you are going to a cafeteria not a restaurant. I ordered wine and a bottle of sparkling water as start. The waiter simply brought the glasses and the drink we ordered. We need to pour the wine and water by ourselves. When I asked the fresh ground black pepper, they just brought a pepper mill for you to do your own work. The stir lion salad is terrible. The lettuce underneath the steak is not soggy and not fresh at all. Why I still give it 2 stars is I hope there is a room for the restaurant to grow. That is the labour day which I was thankful for the workers who came to work on Labour Day. I still tipped him up to 18% although I did not receive the deserved service.

I attend many lunch meetings at various restaurants but the attention to detail by our server was second to none. Making sure an allergy was properly and fully addressed is just one example of the great experience we had. The food and environment were also stellar. We will be back!

GREAT experience for a meet up with a friend. The whole time was made perfect by the bartender (I want to say Jason - I’m so sorry I am terrible with names). He was a delight. Very funny, attentive and monitored our needs carefully but never pushed. Definitely will go back, especially if he is working.

While the food at Moxie's was enjoyable, unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow. It took a while to get our dessert menu, and by the time we were able to order, it was too late for my husband to get a cake for his birthday. Additionally, we felt that the service we received was not up to par. As Asian customers, we sensed that the waitress was treating us differently and not paying us the attention we deserved. It's possible that the server assumed we wouldn't tip well, but regardless of the reason, we did not appreciate the lack of care and attention we received. Overall, our experience at Moxie's was disappointing, and we hope that the restaurant will take steps to address these issues in the future.
